Chapter 236: Enemies Often Cross Paths

Right after Chen Xiaoya shouted, Fu Siying walked in wearing her 16 inched sky-high heels.

“I told you to be quiet in public places! What if others recognize me!?”

Chen Xiaoya immediately shut up.

Fu Siying raised her chin and swung back her hair as she walked up to the cashier. She acted as if everyone in here were ants pacing by her feet.

“What’s the table that just cleared?”

The cashier felt awkward but remained respectful, “Miss, I’m sorry. The table that was cleared has been reserved by the lady here. You can wait here and once another table clears, I will call you.”

Fu Siying’s gaze landed on Qiao Qing’s face. She froze then took off her sunglasses.

When she realized who Qiao Qing was, Fu Siying’s face immediately dropped.

“Enemies sure cross paths often! Why did the country pumpkins from the City of Brisk come to the city?!”

Luo Chen immediately exploded, “Who the f!ck are you? Who are you calling country pumpkins?!”

Fu Siying pointed at her own nose, “Young brother, you don’t know me?”

Luo Chen cursed, “Who’s your brother? Did my brother agree to make me your brother? Should I know you?”

Fu Siying’s face turned red and ugly at Luo Chen’s words. She originally thought well of Luo Chen due to his good looks. But that vanished immediately.

Qiao Qing ignored her and looked at the hostess, “Are we good to go?”

“Ah? Right away!” The hostess quickly went back to the computer and wanted to assign Qiao Qing the table.

“Hold on!” Fu Siying gestured for her to stop, “Give me the table.”

Luo Chen wasn’t okay with this, “What’s wrong with you? Don’t you know it’s first come first serve?”

The hostess also chimed in, “Miss, I’m sorry. It is true that they came here first. If you are in a rush, you are welcomed to visit another restaurant. If you are not in a rush, there’s a resting area you can wait in.”

“Wait? Do you understand how valuable my time is? You must be new. Don’t you know that my family and I are frequent diners here?”

Fu Siying eyed Qiao Qing and her friends, “How much do you think those kids can spend here? Though this restaurant has no minimum spending policy, you need to make money, right? There’s no way you would leave me, a VIP guest, here waiting, while you serve them the beans they order.”

Luo Chen cursed again, “Who are you looking down on?! Who gave you the audacity?!”

Fu Siying crossed her arms, “I’m the daughter of the Fu family. Who do you think gave me the audacity?”

“What’s going on? What’s the fuss?” A woman in uniform walked over.

“Manager He, these guests are fighting over the last table. They came first. But that lady, she...”

The hostess stopped speaking as she couldn’t finish her thought.

Fu Siying’s gaze landed on He Zhi, “Manager He, the hostess doesn’t know what she’s doing. You should know what kind of people you can offend and what kind you can’t.”

He Zhi saw Fu Siying and took a bow, “Ms. Fu.”

Then, He Zhi checked Qiao Qing and her group.

She saw that Qiao Qing and Luo Chen’s clothes had no visible brand logos. As for Lin Xiyan, it was obvious that she wore items from cheap stores.

Then, she looked over to Han Zhi, whom she couldn’t make any conclusions about. Immediately, she made a decision.

She turned to look at Fu Siying and said respectfully, “Ms. Fu, don’t be mad. I’ll assign you the table right away. Xiao Lan is new and she doesn’t know how things works. I will teach her a lesson.”
