Chapter 49: Xing Xiaoguai
Mu Qing had already gotten someone to bring the cat over. They were taking care of it in another one of his residences.
The kitten was five or six months old, with a long fur coat that was silver and white. It had a lively personality. When they came in, the kitten was running around the house.
The kitten was not afraid of strangers at all. It ran over to the two of them and sniffed, circling them.
When Xing Jiuan squatted down, it called out softly and rubbed against Xing Jiuan’s hand. It was a very affectionate little fellow.
“Senior Brother, what’s its name?”
“It doesn’t have a name yet. You can name it.”
“But I haven’t decided if I want to raise it yet.”
The little kitty was lively and friendly. It refused to let go of Xing Jiuan’s hand and looked at her with its beautiful blue eyes.
As it had long fur and was raised very well, it looked like a little white ball as it placed its four paws on Xing Jiuan’s hands and wrists.
“You don’t like it?”
“It’s not that I don’t like it. I’m afraid I won’t be able to raise it well.”
“Don’t worry about that. You just have to play with it.”
In the end, Xing Jiuan chose to keep it and gave this lively and affectionate cat a name—Xiaoguai.
The person who took care of Xiaoguai said that it was especially mischievous and had a lot of energy. When it was let out, it liked to run around the house and play, and it would not stop for half a day.
However, it would stop after a command was given. It would even run over and meow in a childish voice. It would tilt its head and look at people, showing an especially obedient look.
Like a little drama queen.
Xing Jiuan had thought for a while and hesitated between Pipi and Xiaoguai before choosing the name Xiaoguai.
“Xiaoguai, you will be my cat from now on!” Xing Jiuan raised Xiaoguai up, her voice very serious.
“Meow~” Xiaoguai also meowed seriously, as if it was answering her.
“Xing Xiaoguai, this is my first time raising a cat. Please take care of me.” Xing Jiuan reached out, wanting to touch Xiaoguai’s head.
“Meow~” Xiaoguai stretched out its paw and happened to high-five Xing Jiuan.
Xing Jiuan gently pinched its little paw.
When they headed home, they took Xiaoguai with them.
The two of them bought and filled the car with things needed to care for a cat.
When they got home, Su Yize ran out.
“Thirteenth Senior Brother, Little Senior Sister, it’s noon. What are we eating?”
“Anything is fine,” Xing Jiuan said.
“Little Senior Sister, it’s hard to choose if you just say anything is fine,” Su Yize complained.
Xing Jiuan smiled and replied again, “I feel like eating hotpot.”
“Me too,” Su Yize said immediately.
Then, both of them looked at Mu Qing.
Mu Qing did not know whether to laugh or cry when he saw the two of them looking at him. “If you two want to eat that, why are you looking at me?”
“Senior Brother, will you let us eat it?” Su Yize asked.
Mu Qing quickly understood and went to make a call.
Su Yize and Xing Jiuan high-fived each other.
Ou Qi and Lu Mingxi also came down. When they found out that they were going to eat hotpot, both of them were very happy.
Mu Qing usually took care of Xing Jiuan. Xing Jiuan’s stomach was not that bad, but he was very strict.
The last time she ate hotpot was a month ago.
When they went out to eat hotpot, they did not leave Xing Xiaoguai at home.
Mu Qing had reserved a private room. When the time came, he could let Xing Xiaoguai stay at the side.
When they arrived and were about to enter, Xing Jiuan suddenly stopped and looked at a specific location. Her eyes became very dark and cold.
“Jiuan, what’s wrong?” Mu Qing asked. He looked at where Xing Jiuan was looking and did not see anything amiss.
