Chapter 2111 - 2111 Luo Cai Coughs Blood!

2111 Luo Cai Coughs Blood!

The elderly man was an emperor-class expert and a butler within the imperial court who was in charge of delivering information.

He was afraid that Luo Cai would vent his ire on him.

There was already another butler who Luo Cai had killed while he was delivering information.

That butler had died an unnecessary death.

Luo Cai had been the one who requested to receive the reports, but he lost his temper when the content of the reports did not meet his satisfaction, threatening the lives of everyone in the imperial court.

However, Luo Cai had asked him a question, and he could not leave him hanging.

“Your Majesty, Lord Fang Ke hasn’t returned.”

Luo Cai picked up something and tossed it at the elderly man.

At that moment, an almost negligible aura emerged from the depths of the palace.

Luo Cai’s entire demeanor changed when he sensed this aura.

“You’re dismissed! If Fang Ke returns, send him to my room immediately!”

The elderly man was an emperor-class expert and had also sensed the aura from the depths of the imperial court. He knew that the person this aura belonged to had saved him.

Yet, he did not feel a shred of happiness.

The elderly man noticed a few times while he was giving his report that there had been a person wearing a red-gray robe standing next to Luo Cai.

Luo Cai’s gaze would flicker toward this person before he gave any order, as though he was seeking this person’s opinion.

This told the elderly man that an unknown faction was controlling Luo Cai.

The elderly man was extremely sorrowful, but there was nothing he could do with the power he had.

He could tell that many servants in the imperial court had lost their respect for Luo Cai, despite many of them having been promoted to their positions by him.

Most of the servants within the imperial court came from Yellow Gold tribes.

Luo Cai had dispatched all of the Iron Hammer Federation’s tribes in the middle of winter, with rampant food scarcity.

The reason for invading the Divine Wood Federation in order to obtain food to tide them over this crisis was not convincing.

He had even sent all of the weak women and elderly to the Divine Wood Federation as well.

Luo Cai had met with immediate opposition after giving out this order.

However, all those who had opposed him had disappeared in the night and were never to be seen again.

As such, no one else dared to stand against him.

Even if these people’s disappearance was not related to Luo Cai, it had to be caused by the faction controlling him. Luo Cai had to be aware of this.

The more the elderly man thought about it, the sadder he became. He wondered how many of his family members in the tribe were still alive.

After the elderly man left, a figure dressed in a gray-red robe walked out from within the palace.

Luo Cai jumped to his feet when he saw this figure leave his seat empty as he said respectfully, “My lord, please take a seat!”

The figure dressed in the gray-red robe did not stand on ceremony and planted himself on the throne that was supposed to be reserved for the ruler of the Iron Hammer Federation.

Luo Cai bowed and asked tentatively, “Lord, when will I be able to officially join the Truth Association?”

The moment the last word left Luo Cai’s lips, a withered hand reached out from underneath the robe and closed its fingers around his neck before lifting him up from the ground.

Luo Cai had also done the same to other servants when he lost his temper. He had not expected being choked and struggling to breathe would bring with it such discomfort and misery.

Luo Cai knew that the possibility of him being killed by this person was very high, just like how he had helped him kill his uncle.

Luo Cai’s brain was so lacking in oxygen that he was already feeling dizzy. But he never stopped struggling.

The withered hand forcefully tossed him away a moment later, and he crashed to the ground below the platform.

Although he was an A-rank spirit qi professional, this fall had broken most of his bones, and all of his internal organs were in pain.

At that moment, a hoarse voice said, “Didn’t you say nothing would go wrong with the plan? Your plan has ruined Lord Truth’s plan. Do you think I should let you live? After messing up everything, you dare to ask to join the Truth Association?”

Luo Cai was not clear on what was happening, but it was obvious that the Truth Association knew more than him.

He said in a low voice, “Lord, please tell me straight. If I’ve done anything wrong, I will do my best to make up for it!”

The figure vanished from the throne, and in the next moment, Luo Cai felt himself being kicked to the stone pillar at the center of the hall.

A low voice was accompanied by the sound of Luo Cai spitting out a mouthful of blood.

“Make up for it? Your cousin Luo Lan has already gathered all of the tribe members you sent out. There is a way for you to make up for it. The leaders of the tribes pleaded with you and managed to leave 20% of each of their tribes’ members at home to upkeep the tribe. Go and deal with them!”

Luo Cai had been coughing violently while lying in a crumpled heap on the ground.

His eyes filled with blood when he heard what the figure said, and he replied anxiously while coughing, “Lord, it was agreed that these people”

Before he could finish speaking, the hoarse voice interrupted him. “When I promised to let these people live, it was because you assured me that nothing would go wrong with the plan. Now that your plan is riddled with issues and affected Lord Truth’s plan, the deaths of these people is just a small way of compensating Lord Truth.

“Luo Cai, you know what Lord Truth’s plan is. You were willing to send out 80% of the tribe members. Why are you trembling in fear now? If Lord Envoy hears of this, he will definitely be enraged! If he’s angry, you will not continue to live on this earth!”

The figure wearing red-gray robes walked over to Luo Cai and grabbed his short hair, lifting him off the ground. The words that came next were all enunciated slowly. “If you don’t do this properly, I’ll get someone to take your place. Don’t forget how you managed to become king of the Iron Hammer Federation! The Truth Association can place you in this seat and just as easily give it to someone else instead. I’m sure your replacement will be able to do this well.”
