Chapter 2447 - 2447 The Goddess of Mercy's Artillery!

2447 The Goddess of Mercy’s Artillery!

The Goddess of Mercy and the Radiance Federation’s alliance was not transparent. The Goddess of Mercy was still trying to find a way to gain Lin Yuan’s affection.

Once she gained the affection of Lin Yuan, a merman emperor, she could break through her power, and her bloodline would no longer be stuck at pinnacle king-class.

The Goddess of Mercy already possessed great talent, and transforming her bloodline to that of the mermaid bloodline had indeed brought her significant benefits. But this had also restricted her power.

If she had not made that choice, her talent would be enough to enable her to set her spirit fire alight.

Due to their bloodlines, she would not form any evil intentions against Lin Yuan even if her bloodline did manage to reach emperor-class. She would also preserve her friendly relationship with the Radiance Federation for his sake.

But the Goddess of Mercy never saw the Radiance Federation as something she needed to protect and remain loyal to. This was similar to when she was being targeted by the Mirror God and God of Fools and gave up on her position as one of the Freedom Federation’s royalty. Rather than carrying the heavy burden of being a member of royalty, the Moon Empress was more suited to being a free-roaming expert.

She had not studied the Radiance Federation as thoroughly as the Mirror God and God of Fools had. She only began to learn more about the Radiance Federation when she decided to initiate an alliance with them.

The Goddess of Mercy realized that the Radiance Federation was very strange. It was clear that the members of royalty worked independently. Yet, they banded together and were united when they faced powerful enemies. None of them would suffer the same fate as she did in the Freedom Mystic Temple, where she was pushed and held down on the chopping board by the rest.

Sometimes, one word with enough rational backing would enable one to take in profits. Thus, no one was willing to take a step back.

The Spacetime Elder protected the Radiance Federation on his own. It was only when he combined the Radiance Federation that the Mirror God and God of Fools were deterred from targeting the Radiance Federation.

The Spacetime Elder was the Radiance Federation’s strongest expert. But he never once tried to dampen young geniuses like the Moon Empress. This was in stark contrast to the treatment she received from the Mirror God and God of Fools.

The Goddess of Mercy remembered that the Radiance Federation managed to rise up and prosper within a few decades. This speed was almost unbelievable.

Perhaps, the reason for the Radiance Federation’s rapid development was the model of unity and the positive environment among the members of royalty.

The Goddess of Mercy never assumed that she was important to the Radiance Federation.

She was making use of the Radiance Federation so that Lin Yuan would see her contributions and form a positive impression of her. But she also believed that the Radiance Federation was using her to obtain information about the Freedom Federation so they could devise a way to effectively deal with the Freedom Federation.

The Goddess of Mercy never expected the Radiance Federation to send two spirit fire experts to help her when she was in danger.

As hard as her heart was, she was still deeply moved by this act.

Now that she had support, the Goddess of Mercy did not have to worry and opened an attack on Fourth Page Instant Extinguishment.

“Fourth Page Instant Extinguishment, how did you manage to become so ugly? You’re both ugly and greedy! Even Marsh Crocodiles are more attractive than you! Since you agreed to help, stop lying around and scheming. Go and kill all of the dimensional lifeforms that are crawling out of the Marsh East Region!”

Fourth Page Instant Extinguishment had just finished clearing out all the dimensional lifeforms in a large area and was about to head back into the dimensional rift to rest.

He was also suppressing a volcano of rage.

The Freedom Federation’s Mirror God, Goddess of Mercy, and God of Fools had not moved from the entrance of the dimensional rift. Yet, they did not react when waves of dimensional lifeforms poured out. Just what were they trying to do?

If you, the Freedom Federation’s royalty, do not want to go and clear out the dimensional lifeforms but expect us, Tower Canon, to do it instead, how is that any different from the Freedom Federation treating Tower Canon as manual labor workers? You should be grateful that we’re willing to help the Freedom Federation in your time of need. Now, we’re only staying out of pure goodwill and to make up for some of the negative impacts that resulted from our high asking price.

If the Goddess of Mercy’s reason for saying what she said was just that she was greedy and wanted to express her unhappiness about the high asking price, Fourth Page Instant Extinguishment would not be as livid as he was. Rather, he would be somewhat thrilled.

But why did she say he was ugly? That was a grievous insult!

It would have been fine if she stopped at calling him ugly. It was true that he could not be described as handsome because of the influence of the feys he had contracted. But why did she have to go on to say that he was even uglier than the Marsh Crocodiles? She could have used any other comparison!

Fourth Page Instant Extinguishment did not hold back and retorted angrily, “Goddess of Mercy, what are you trying to do? Are you trying to ruin the relationship between Tower Canon and the Freedom Federation? Third Page Eternal Sin said that you’re the one who killed Fifth Page Truth. It is true that Fifth Page Truth has been missing for some time. Given your attitude toward Tower Canon, I suspect you are indeed the one who killed him!”

After Third Page Eternal Sin brought up that Fifth Page Truth’s death was related to the Goddess of Mercy, the latter had not dared to bring up a similar topic for fear that Third Page Eternal Sin would continue harping on the subject.

The Goddess of Mercy’s expression changed abruptly when she heard what Fourth Page Instant Extinguishment said.

It turned out that Third Page Eternal Sin was the only one who knew about the matter, while the rest of Tower Canon were only guessing! Moreover, Third Page Eternal Sin could not be exactly certain either. Otherwise, she would have already informed the rest of Tower Canon about it.

The Goddess of Mercy’s rage spiked. She had fallen for Third Page Eternal Sin’s trick and had been worried for nothing!

Third Page Eternal Sin better pray that she never ended up in the Goddess of Mercy’s grasp. Otherwise, she would show Third Page Eternal Sin what hell truly was!

“You say that you have reason to believe that I’m the one who killed Fifth Page Truth. Do you think I would appear in front of you if I did kill him? I would have killed you long ago! If I was that capable, I would have represented the Freedom Federation to fend off the marsh world’s Dictators myself. Why would we turn to you? You make it sound as though I have set my spirit fire alight!”

The Goddess of Mercy lifted her tail and splashed water toward Third Page Eternal Sin. She had casually created this wave of water, but Third Page Eternal Sin knew that she would be injured if hit by it.

Before Third Page Eternal Sin could respond after dodging, the Goddess of Mercy said furiously, “I didn’t say anything just now while you were spouting nonsense out of consideration for the danger that the Freedom Federation is in. But you only pushed harder.

“Do you really think I don’t have a temper of my own? You must give me an explanation for this matter! Since you claim that I am linked to Fifth Page Truth’s death, show me some real hard evidence.

“From your tone, it seems that even you can’t be sure if Fifth Page Truth is truly dead. All you know is that he’s missing. Have you found his body yet? I recall that Fifth Page Truth isn’t weak. I’m sure he would be able to do something as simple as send out a plea for help when he’s in danger.”
