1823 Fight A Losing Battle

The security team chief hurriedly followed behind Shangguan Hou.

In an instant, only the tech department employees were left in the room.

When Yang Yi sat down, he raised his head and glanced at Liang Qiu and could not help feeling puzzled.

Was he helping him earlier?

Or was this some coincidence?

After all, this person had no reason to offer him help. However, he also knew there was no such thing as such coincidences in the world.

Yang Yi veered his eyes. No matter his intention, now was not the time to think about it.

A tracker was placed on Miss Huo. He was unsure if she knew about it yet. If she did not… Yang Yi glanced at the various controllers in front of him.

They could not blame him for doing something major to get out of this.

As he veered his eyes, Liang Qiu raised his head profoundly. He did not look at Yang Yi. Instead, he looked at the computer with a chip inserted inside.

The red dot was moving increasingly close to the central area.

Was it Bold Little Darling?

**

After Huo Yao had outrun base security again, she quickly ran through the base.

She was planning to cause a distraction first. Unexpectedly, these idiots managed to find her so quickly.

They suddenly got so good and knew her location?

The base security had yet to catch up with her, so the corridor was particularly quiet. It was clear that no guards were hiding anywhere and following her secretly.

But…

Huo Yao narrowed her eyes with a solemn look on her face. She had always been cautious by nature, so she had a feeling she was missing something

When she suddenly heard a soft sound, Huo Yao quickly turned her head in the direction of the sound only to see a gray silhouette quickly darting out.

As though it knew she had seen it, the gray silhouette shrank at the corner of the wall and stopped moving.

Huo Yao frowned.

Why would a mouse appear in a place like this?

Before she was able to continue thinking, Shangguan Hou and the security team chief had already started walking over from the other end of the corridor.

Behind her, the guards Huo Yao threw off earlier had caught up and surrounded her, front and back.

Huo Yao looked up at Shangguan Hou and his men. She did not look worried at all under her mask.

Shangguan Hou stood still two meters away without going further. As he made eye contact with Huo Yao, he pursed his lips and said, “First, it was Shangguan Tong. Now, it’s you. Why? Have you changed your mind about working with us?”

Huo Yao squeezed her wrist nonchalantly and replied in a calm tone. “Oh? Maybe in your dreams.”

“From the looks of it, you don’t mind if Shangguan Tong dies,” said Shangguan Hou gently.

“You can just try. What do you prefer? Having her dead? Or making a trip to hell yourself?” Something changed in Huo Yao’s eyes before a murderous aura surged from her. She pulled her gun and fired at Shangguan Hou.

Shangguan Hou had already seen her moving. Before she was able to shoot, he pulled a guard from the side and used him to block the shot from her.

Everyone promptly reacted by pointing their weapons at Huo Yao. Since Shangguan Hou gave the order to catch her alive, even if they wanted to shoot, no one fired at any critical areas.

Hence, they had problems getting her.

Huo Yao swiftly dodged the fire without using her gun. She was already out of bullets.

Shangguan Hou laughed coldly. “Why bother fighting knowing you’ll lose?”
