339 Impulsiveness

Li Xiangjun had nowhere else to go in Huai County, so she took Fang Tianliu to the Hundred Flavors Restaurant to hide from the rain.

“This is your jade pendant.”

She pried away Fang Tianliu’s fingers and forcefully stuffed the jade pendant into his palm.

“Take it. You can go back to Willow Village or go to Jiangnan. I don’t care.”

Fang Tianliu clearly saw the wound on her fingertip.

“What is this? Did Manager Li do this?”

“You’re thinking too much. I’m my father’s most beloved daughter. How could he hurt me? It’s raining heavily outside. You can stay in the shop today.” Li Xiangjun took the keys to pass it to him. “The room at the back is cleaned every day. You can stay there. I believe that you won’t do anything to damage the shop even if you have the key.”

Fang Tianliu gripped the jade pendant tightly and suddenly said, “You’re getting married?”

“No.” Li Xiangjun didn’t want to say more. “I’m not getting married. Don’t worry about it. This has nothing to do with you.”

Her attitude softened a little.

Fang Tianliu grabbed her arm.

There was no light in the room.

Only the occasional flash of lightning could illuminate the area.

He saw the tears in Li Xiangjun’s eyes.

Fang Tianliu frowned in confusion and shouted, “What are you hiding from me?”

His head was heavy and numb, and his ability to think had plummeted.

“I can’t be as free and easy as you. I can’t just forget everything.”

He pressed on Li Xiangjun’s shoulder. He tried his best to get closer to see her face.

“Fang Tianliu!”

Although her tone was fierce, it didn’t have any hostility towards him.

The dark night made it unnecessary for her to try so hard to hide herself, and she was less aggressive.

Fang Tianliu’s head was a mess.

He cupped Li Xiangjun’s face.

“Fang…”

Fang Tianliu kissed her.

His lips were burning hot, and he had a lonely and brave aura.

Li Xiangjun grunted and clenched her fists. Just as she was about to hit him, she let go of her fingers and stopped in mid-air.

Fang Tianliu tightened his grip around her waist.

The tension in his mind suddenly relaxed.

Li Xiangjun fell into his arms with ease.

With her strength, she could easily break free, but while she was hesitating and distracted by the kiss. Fang Tianliu had already held her tightly and was walking towards the backyard.

Fang Tianliu had once slept in the room in the backyard.

After he left, the room was still just as spotless as it was.

Fang Tianliu felt a little warm on his forehead.

He lay on his back on the bed and fell heavily on the bed because of the weight of the person in his arms.

Li Xiangjun subconsciously followed his movements and pounced down.

The door was blown by the wind and slammed shut with a bang.

Fang Tianliu covered Li Xiangjun’s ears subconsciously and pressed his lips against hers.

Li Xiangjun’s ears were burning hot from his kiss.

Even though they used to be in love, they had never been this intimate.

It was a strange feeling.

However, because the other party was Fang Tianliu, Li Xiangjun felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity.

Fang Tianliu did not hold back at all.

The room was in chaos.

Li Xiangjun had unknowingly rolled onto a soft cushion with Fang Tianliu.

The torrential rain poured down as they connected.

She didn’t return for the entire night.

Fang Tianliu only felt that his forehead was in so much pain that it felt like someone was hitting it with a hammer. He pressed his temple and frowned, while using his other hand to cover his eyes to block the sun.

“So, you’re finally awake?”

Doctor Sun’s angry voice reached his ears.

Fang Tianliu lowered his arm, and after seeing that the person next to him was really Doctor Sun, he asked in surprise, “Doctor Sun? Why are you here?”

“If it isn’t me, who else could it be?”

Doctor Sun placed the bowl of medicine beside him. “Since you’re awake, drink the medicine.”

Fang Tianliu hugged his blanket and sat up, “Doctor Sun? How did I come back here?”

“Yesterday morning, a horse carriage sent you back.” Doctor Sun pushed the bowl of medicine towards him. “Drink it quickly. If the medicine turns cold, it will damage its medicinal properties.”

Fang Tianliu turned around and was about to get off the bed. “Doctor Sun, please let Zhao Zhan know that I’m going to Huai County.”

“Wait a minute,” Doctor Sun chided. “I don’t care where you go. Drink the medicine before you do.”

Fang Tianliu hurriedly picked up the bowl of medicine and drank it in one gulp. He wiped his mouth with his sleeve and was about to rush out.

Although he had been in a hurry and was drenched in the rain, he was still a little feverish.

Fortunately, his fever was not serious, and his memory of that time was still clear.

“Before you go out, go and look for Zhao Zhan,” Doctor Sun suddenly said when he was about to reach the door. “He told me to tell you this when you wake up.”

“I’ll go over now.”

Fang Tianliu was about to leave in a hurry.

“Be careful.”

Just then, Madam Qin, who was carrying a bowl of hot chicken soup, almost bumped into him.

“Madam Qin.”

“Fang Tianliu,” Zhao Zhan and Yue Jiaojiao walked over, hand in hand, “I have already arranged the carriage to Jiangnan. You can set off at any time you want.”

“Zhao Zhan, I still have something to do.”

Yue Jiaojiao spoke softly, “Miss Li has already asked for leave…”

He didn’t know what had happened between Fang Tianliu and Li Xiangjun when he went to Huai County, but Li Xiangjun had hired a carriage from Huai County to send him back without even showing her face.

The coachman gave Yue Jiaojiao a letter from Li Xiangjun.
