The moon rays, the small boat, coupled with the red dress and black hair, made for a stunning scenery. Like in a beautiful dream, they all held their breaths, fearing that with one sigh, they would blow the view and the man away. At first, Ning Xuemo just wanted to find the culprit responsible for ruining the Flamboyant Crystal Tree, but as soon as she recognized the person, she couldn’t help but retreat while holding her breath!

The red-clothed evildoer — Xue Yilan! This dude unexpectedly appeared here! It was indeed true that enemies were destined to meet each other! In fact, why did he come here?! Was it a coincidence or done on purpose?! Since the continent was so huge and the people were numerous, then what was the chance of her meeting this guy face to face?! What an ill-fated encounter was that?!

Ning Xuemo questioned the Heavens silently. Step by step, she walked backwards, leaving the window noiselessly and hiding behind the crowd. Sigh, if only this guy was just passing by… He wouldn’t board, right? Her heart was pounding very quickly, while cold sweat seeped out on the palms of her hands.

Previously, she tricked him into entering the Hideous Beast Lake. Furthermore, judging by his character of taking revenge of the smallest grievance, once he seized her, she assumed that her small life would be thoroughly disintegrated!Meanwhile, the melody outside continued to go on. The piece he was playing was exactly the song that Ning Xuemo had performed just moments ago: 《A Moonlit Night among Flowers by the Spring River》.

If Ning Xuemo’s skills in zither were perfect, then Xue Yilan’s were simply divine. Only inhuman creatures like him were able to play it. Not only were the musicians engrossed, but the pleasure-boats and fishing-boats nearby were pulled in by the sound. Even the weather didn’t dare to disrupt it. Only the misty tunes of the zither were floating on the lake.

It felt both natural and mysterious, the smoke enveloping the cold water and the moon shading the landscape.

{tl: I am having a crazy IQ attack!}

After hearing the music, all of those people who considered themselves refined and talented, thought that their playing was intolerable to the ear, like fluffy cotton!

{tl: it might mean that they played with their ears stuffed with cotton (?)}

The sound was superb but the person playing was even more beautiful and everyone liked beauty. In fact, in addition to the girls, some boys’ hearts were thumping hard too. They almost forgot what day it was. Standing in the back, Ning Xuemo observed the crowd’s reactions. Contrary to them, she wasn’t enchanted by the zither plucking sounds at all. As a matter of fact, she had only one wish. Quickly go away! Go away! Heavens! Please, make this animal get out of here! Don’t let him stay here! However, Heaven clearly didn’t listen to her prayers. In fact, the notes still loitered around, neither too close nor too distant. Obviously, the man didn’t intend to depart.

When the sounds finally ceased, the dense fog slowly dispersed from the lake, partly revealing the dark-blue sky and boat. It also uncovered the person on the boat, making people feel that he was the one who scattered the mist.

“Elder… This Elder Brother… no…Your Honorable Master, may you please come onboard on our ship for a chat?”, an examiner suddenly called out to him. Ning Xuemo jumped as if she had a big scare!

Was this dude someone they could provoke? Did this judge want to incur a catastrophe? Will that evildoer accept or not? Ning Xuemo kept holding her breath.

“This being the case, then I don’t dare to refuse” Xue Yilan replied with a smile. His voice was a little hoarse, like fresh water. It was particularly magnetic and pleasant to hear.

He unexpectedly agreed! He agreed! The people were bursting with excitement, especially the girls. Their eyes were glistening while contemplating the fluttering robes of that man. Clearly, nobody was driving the boat, but nevertheless, a paddle slowly guided it towards the ship.
