Chapter 674: Facing Her, He Do Not Have The Heart To Do So

If he was faced with the intelligent one, he would need more thought into scheming against her. However, dealing with a complete dunce, no amount of thought would be required in scheming against that naive fool.

Ye Shaoguang proceeded to push Yan Qingsi aside and with a swift motion, he single-handedly shouldered the entire weight of Ji Mianmian on his back then proceeded to walk toward the exit.

“Open the damn door!” Ye Shaoguang exclaimed. Seeing Yan Qingsi had not made her way over to the door yet. He calmly turned around and gave her a cold gaze.

Ye Shaoguang grunted as Yan Qingsi slowly made her way to the door. He said, “Put on your goddamn mask and shades. I do not want to be dragged into your scandalous mess.”

Yan Qingsi rolled her eyes and replied, “You don’t have to state the obvious.”

Ye Shaoguang gritted his teeth tightly as he proceeded to exit the room.

“Did you drive yourself here or did you rent a cab?” Ye Shaoguang asked.

“I drove, and it’s parked at the main entrance.” Yan Qingsi replied.

Ye Shaoguang positioned Ji Mianmian slightly higher on his back as her soft, tender cheeks pressed against his neck. Though her skin was not as swelteringly hot as before, it was still significantly warm. It was a strange feeling to Ye Shaoguang as every step he took was followed by the gentle friction of her cheeks nuzzling against the back of his neck, mimicking his pace.

It felt soft, tender and warm. As if something was burrowing underneath his skin.

Upon making their way downstairs, Yan Qingsi proceeded to open the side door of her car and told Ye Shaoguang to place Ji Mianmian inside.

Ye Shaoguang then proceeded to hand over the flu medicine prescribed by the doctor earlier and told Yan Qingsi, “Remember to make sure she takes her meds, there are clear instructions on the package. It clearly says 20 minutes after each meal.”

Yan Qingsi did not look directly at Ye Shaoguang. She simply squinted at him as suspicion was written across her face.

She was skeptical as to Ye Shaoguang’s sudden overwhelming care toward Ji Mianmian. She was wondering if he had cared a little too much to his plaything since his initial claims of him treating Ji Mianmian only as a plaything. Similar to how any person would never bother to care about their plaything’s state or condition. Whether they felt cold or if they were sick had absolutely nothing to do with that person.

“You…”

Yan Qingsi only managed to mutter a word before she was promptly interrupted by someone calling out, “Shaoguang.”

Upon hearing his name, Ye Shaoguang felt chills running down the entire length of his spine.

Before Yan Qingsi could react, in just a fraction of a second, she was suddenly being forcefully shoved into her car. That force was too great and too quick to react to as Yan Qingsi’s head was violently knocked into the door of her car.

All that could be heard in that split second was a loud thud as Yan Qingsi groaned in pain.

All Yan Qingsi could do was rub the side of her head as she asked Ye Shaoguang furiously, “What do you think you’re doing?”

However, Ye Shaoguang proceeded to swiftly shut the door as he whispered in a hasty tone, “Not a single word, don’t come out.”

Yan Qingsi was stunned as she was confused by the whole ordeal.

Ye Shaoguang swiftly turned around and lifted his head as he looked toward the direction of the approaching person. Masquerading behind his facade, he instantly faked a smile and simply said, “Uncle, Uncle You, what brings you guys here?”

Behind the closed door of her car, the instant Yan Qingsi lowered her side windows slightly, all she could hear was Ye Shaoguang’s yelling.

She squinted her eyes to get a much-focused look outside. It was none other than Ye Shaoguang’s uncle, who just so happened to be the prime elder of the Ye family.

Uncle You, could it be… You Xi’s uncle?

Yan Qingsi sneakily stuck her head out the window to take a better look. As she turned to see, standing right in front of Ye Shaoguang were two grown men.

She saw an elderly man perhaps in his sixties, clad in a fine suit and was brimming with life. Upon closer inspection, that man looked marginally younger than his actual age.

Yan Qingsi clenched her fist tightly as she knew that this old man could have played a hand in her mother’s death all those years ago.

Radiating from Yan Qingsi’s body was a strong, tense and menacing aura without her knowing.

Standing beside that old man was a… seemingly younger man. However, Yan Qingsi could only see the side of that man’s face. Observing closely, she noticed that the bridge of that man’s nose was high and centered. His jawline was undoubtedly elegant and quite stunning. The tone of his skin was as pale as ivory could be and his physique was quite slender for a man.

With only half a face, it would be enough to drive anyone crazy.

Yan Qingsi could very clearly hear Ye Shaoguang’s uncle said, “I’m here for some business and at the same time, pay you a visit.”

“I’m doing fine, thanks for asking uncle.” Ye Shaoguang replied.
