Chapter 1718 - Who Are the Immortals

-Fourth Brother?-

-Nullified a danger?-

-The plan?-

-The Undying Cycle Mountain?-

None of it made any sense to Qin Nan. He was not even aware that the Beast Hide Drawing had left.

The moment he received the scroll, he had placed his full attention on it.

“The Art of Reversal of the Yin and Yang!”

“Build a Dao-Flouting Altar, avoid the Dao of the world, and sacrifice the corpses of Peerless Rulers or stronger existences that are dead for precisely seven days. Use the Dark Underworld Wood, the Immortal-Repelling Tree, the Supreme Heart Fruit, the Eight-Eyed Yin, and Yang Flower…”

There was a huge list of valuable materials, followed by some obscure chant of the art. Qin Nan finally found the most important part he was looking for right at the end.

“That way, you’ll be able to flout the Yin and Yang and topple the Great Dao to rebuild the souls of the dead!”

Qin Nan was unsure if the art was reliable. He quickly transmitted the content of the scroll to the copper mirror.

The copper mirror might know a thing or two about it.

“The art is invented by one of the Immortals. It can reforge a person’s soul, but its inventor has already fallen more than a hundred thousand years ago without leaving his succession behind. Where did you find this?” the copper mirror replied coldly after a few moments.

“It really works?”

Qin Nan was overjoyed. His last hint of doubt had vanished.

“Do you remember the Beast Hide Drawing from before? He told me that once I ascended as an immortal…”

Qin Nan told the copper mirror everything that happened.

“The purple crystal is refined with the fragmented memories and the Art of Dao Seeking and arts of your past life,” Empress Feiyue said. “Trading it for the Art of Reversal of Yin and Yang isn’t necessarily a loss. I believe the art is the only way to reforge a soul in this world.”

Qin Nan nodded.

The purple crystal was just like a fortunate encounter for him.

Even if he refined it, it would just add some brilliance to his splendor. The path he was walking was still Qin Nan’s path. He had no reason to live for his past life.

Princess Miao Miao and Jiang Bilan were more important to him.

Even if the Beast Hide Drawing was asking to take his everything, he would agree too.

“Copper mirror, who are the Immortals?”

Qin Nan’s eyes flickered coldly.

Judging from the way the Beast Hide Drawing spoke and the warning he received from the Divine God of Battle, they were most likely on par with one another. The Beast Hide Drawing might be one of the Immortals too.

“It’s fine to tell you about it now, the Immortals are referring to the ten strongest immortals in the Primary Upper Realm around a hundred thousand years ago. The power that each one of them possessed is nothing that the other immortals could dream of.”

“The Divine God of Battle is the Fifth Immortal, the person in a gray robe that tried to kill you is the Ninth Immortal. I believe the Beast Hide Drawing is one of the Immortals too.”

“Based on my speculation, there’s a chance that you were either the First Immortal or the Second Immortal in the past.”

Empress Feiyue’s eyes flickered with a hint of doubt.

Even though the Ten Immortals were the strongest existence of the ‘realm’ they were in, the Art of Three Lifetimes should be able to sense Qin Nan’s past life still.

Qin Nan’s past life had even used some extraordinary method to leave him with a purple crystal.

Either way, Qin Nan should be able to cultivate the Art of Three Lifetimes still. She would not have mistaken that Qin Nan had reached the start of a new cycle.

“The man in a gray robe is the Ninth Immortal? There’s a chance I was the First or Second Immortal?”

Qin Nan murmured. He immediately made up his mind.

One day, he had sworn to find out the reason why the man was so determined to kill him.

He would also find out the Beast Hide Drawing’s identity, and pay him back ten times what he had done to him!

“Copper mirror, I have a favor to ask,” Qin Nan said embarrassedly as a thought crossed his mind.

Apart from helping the copper mirror to overcome her Tribulation of Three Lifetimes, it felt like he had been asking the woman for help most of the time.

“Say it.”

Qin Nan took a breath and said, “The Beast Hide Drawing has given me the Dao-Flouting Altar, but could you please prepare the corpses of Peerless Rulers and the materials I need?”

“I want…”

Qin Nan went silent for a moment before he added, “I want to bring them back to life as soon as possible.”

-They were away for too long.-

“I can prepare the corpses of Peerless Rulers for you. I will tell Chang Xiao about the Dark Underworld Wood and the other materials too. You can go find him three months later.”

Empress Feiyue said expressionlessly, “However, you will have to find the Immortal-Repelling Tree, the Supreme Heart Fruit, and the Eight-Eyed Yin and Yang Flower yourself.”

Qin Nan was startled.

Was there anything special about the three natural herbs?

Empress Feiyue seemed to be aware of his doubt. She said, “These three natural herbs are just like the Dark Netherworld Wood. They are described resources described as ‘Immortal Blessings’, meaning they are extremely rare.”

“It won’t be a problem if some Supreme Daoism factions or ancient tribes have them, but they only appear in the Fourth Small Immortal Realm.”

She added after a brief pause, “A thousand years ago, I once swore an Immortal Demon Oath to the ten Nine Heavens Supremes in the Fourth Small Immortal Realm that I will not set half a foot in the Fourth Small Immortal Realm for six thousand years, nor would I intervene with anything that happened there.”

Qin Nan subconsciously twisted his lips after hearing it.

Even though he had no idea what happened a thousand years ago, he could easily guess that the copper mirror must have done something shocking that scared the crap out of the ten Nine Heavens Supremes.

He suddenly realized the copper mirror was beyond impressive.

“Copper mirror, you have my thanks.”

Qin Nan sternly brought his fists together.

Without her help, it would take him ages just to collect the materials needed that the scroll had mentioned.

“Don’t say it again. I’m already getting tired of listening to it.”

Empress Feiyue snapped, “Besides, don’t you forget that you will need to do me a favor when the time comes too.”

The light from the red string dimmed as the voice faded away.

Qin Nan fell silent for a moment. He soon collected his thoughts and placed the scroll in the Sumeru Ring, before shifting his attention to the Black and White Crystal below the Ownerless Heaven Pattern.

His heart skipped a beat as he vaguely saw a glamorous woman with a naughty look and a pale-faced beautiful woman with short hair, whose eyes were glittering with wisdom…

ROAR!

Qin Nan swiftly collected his thoughts as he heard a series of deafening roars suddenly came from the gate, followed by some curses.
