Chapter 2324: Dragon Island, Part One

Qin Nan remained calm and said, “City Lord, I believe that won’t be necessary. If you try to harm me, you will lose both the thing I have and the thing in your treasure vault. It won’t do you any good.”

“Besides, you are worried whether I’ve told the Curved Swords my visit to your city.”

“Second…”

“I’m not that easy to kill.”

A shocking aura burst out of Qin Nan’s body, causing the hall to shake vigorously.

In addition to it, a mysterious illusion of a demonic realm slowly emerged from his back.

“Power of the Rules?”

The eyes of the three Rulers of Dao widened.

It was rare for a peak Master of Dao to be able to unleash the Power of Rules, but many exceptional geniuses in the Nine Heavens Immortal Realm could do it.

However, the Power of Rules Qin Nan had unleashed was unusual. It significantly surpassed the power of normal Rulers of Dao in the early stage!

“HAHAHA, the Curved Swords indeed has a lot of talents! It’s impressive that you have mastered such an outstanding art at such a young age!”

The City Lord burst out laughing and withdrew his murderous aura. He said, “Young man, I’m a straightforward man. Let’s cut straight to the main topic. What benefits can you give us in return for the thing you are after?”

Qin Nan raised his finger and said, “Half of the sword art invented by a Heaven Highness.”

The three Rulers of Dao exchanged glances. The City Lord waved his hand and said, “Young man, we are being sincere to you, but you aren’t returning our favor! How could you only offer half of a sword art? You have to at least give us the complete version!”

Qin Nan shook his head and said, “It’s not like I don’t want to give you all of it, but I’ve sworn an oath not to give it away when I practice it. Half of it is the most I can offer.”

“If you think it isn’t good enough, there’s nothing I can do about it.”

“I shall excuse myself,” Qin Nan rose to his feet and brought his fists together.

He left without any hesitation.

“Wait!”

The City Lord stopped Qin Nan immediately.

“Young man, it seems like you have already figured out where our bottom line is. Half of the sword art will do,” the City Lord said with a sigh.

Despite his reaction, he was actually in a great mood.

Half of a sword art invented by a Heaven Highness was already extremely valuable.

However, when they found out Qin Nan had claimed the Four-Way Dragon Pattern from them at a later time, their chests collapsed as if they had just taken a great blow. They could not get over it after a year. It almost became their nightmare and haunted them.

“Pleasant working with you,” Qin Nan turned around and smiled.

Both parties quickly swore an oath.

The City Lord brought Qin Nan straight to the treasure vault.

Normally, factions like the Red Dragon City would keep the valuables in their storage bags. The things stored in the treasure vault were nothing extraordinary.

However, the City Lord’s treasure vault was a little different. He had put in a lot of effort to build it. The sturdy vault was full of ancient artifacts. Several half-Dao Seeking Weapons had caught Qin Nan’s eyes too.

“City Lord, it’s fateful for us to meet today. Why don’t you give us all of these? I believe they don’t worth much to you,” Qin Nan pointed casually at some of the things in the vault.

“Sure! Feel free to take more of them if anything catches your eyes. Just don’t forget about me once you reached a great height in the future,” the City Lord agreed.

Qin Nan took fifteen artifacts, including the Four-Way Dragon Pattern. He then gave the City Lord half of the Great Universe Sword Art before leaving the city.

It was just an insignificant encounter between them.

It was unlikely they would meet again in the future.

“It’s time to visit the Dragon Island!”

Qin Nan disappeared into the rift.

……

……

The Dragon Island was quite far away from the Red Dragon City. One was located in the easternmost corner of the Fifth Small Immortal Realm, and the other was located in the westernmost corner.

Qin Nan had to fly in the rift for ten hours. He left the rift and came to a stop.

“Is this…the place owned by a Heaven Highness during the ancient era?” Qin nan’s eyes flickered with astonishment.

An enormous island resembling a dragon floated in the distance. Rare phenomena were occurring on it with a strong presence of immortal intent.

It felt like the island was one with the Heavens and Earth.

When Qin Nan stared at the island for a long time, he could even hear cries of dragon echoing in his ears. He suddenly felt minuscule as if he was standing before the Heavens and Earth.

“A place with a Heaven Highness is already this impressive. I wonder what the Curved Swords and the other formidable factions are like,” Qin Nan thought.

Unfortunately, he did not learn anything about the Curved Swords from Lin Xiaozhi’s memory. Otherwise, he could understand the faction better.

Qin Nan cleared his thoughts and flew ahead.

When he approached the head of the dragon, he noticed rays of light approaching at a shocking pace. There were Peerless Rulers, Nine Heavens Supremes, Masters of Dao, and quite a lot of Rulers of Dao too.

The entrance of the island was bustling with noises.

According to the requirements listed by Dragon Island Heaven Highness, one must claim the badge of the quest to participate in it.

The quest had just been put up, thus the cultivators who were not too far away from the Dragon Island had just arrived. It was a great opportunity for Qin Nan to collect some information.

Qin Nan blended into the crowd and entered the island.

The portion of the island that was open to the outsiders was not big. It only had a few hundred streets with some immortal palaces on the sides. There were magnificent mountains further ahead filled with many rare phenomena.

Qin Nan wondered how many lands of treasure he would find on the island.

He looked around him briefly before making his way to the training ground at the center.

Even though a huge crowd had gathered on the island, the people were restricted from using violence on the island. Those who broke the rules would have to face serious consequences, thus everything was in perfect order.

A while later, Qin Nan saw a huge crowd on the left side of the training ground.

The cultivators had formed huge lines waiting for their turn to receive a badge for the quest.

The right side of the training ground was empty. No one was heading toward it. All it had was a palace called the Heavenly Art Palace.
