Chapter 486: The mother who had been held captive

At night, a shadow the size of a fist came out from the house. That silhouette was muttering as it flew.

“Seriously. My beautiful feathers have been dyed such an ugly black. Ugh.”

“I definitely have to get Yue Yue to compensate me once I’m back.”.

“What did she mean that this job was the most suitable for me since I could conceal my aura completely. It must be that Yue Yue was upset with my taking liberties with my Beauty Sang. No no no, that I had chatted with Beauty Sang.”

“…”

Little Roar flew along the ground, quickly locating the courtyard that Bei Gong Tang and the others were living in. The moment he saw the desolate and broken down courtyard, he immediately cried out for justice for Bei Gong Tang in his heart.

“Yue Yue, the Bei Gong clansmen are too hateful. How could this place be suitable for human living? The houses are so crooked that they look like they’re about to fall, and everything is broken. The plum blossom tree is the only thing that looks well. I really can’t believe that Bei Gong Tang and the others lived here.”

“The Bei Gong clan truly owes Bei Gong Tang and the others too much. When the time comes, we’ll see what Bei Gong Tang says. If she wants to pay them back, we will support her all the way.” Sima You Yue said, “Have you seen the prison underground yet?”

“Not yet. I haven’t entered the house.” Little Roar said, “I’m getting the bees to take me in.”

“Okay… wait a moment. Look for a place to hide.” Sima You Yue suddenly cried out anxiously.

Little Roar didn’t know why, but he still quickly hid in the roof and lay in wait.

A short while later, a man walked out from the house and stood in the courtyard for a while. Then, a lady followed after him.

” Hubby, that sl*t still refuses to reveal it. You’ve already watched her refine pills for thousands of times. Have you managed to find out the method yet?” Gu Yun Er asked while walking beside Bei Gong Ao.

Little Roar crouched on the roof and raised his round little head to look below. Although he could only see the silhouettes of the two below, he could just make out their appearances. At the very least, her figure wasn’t bad.

“The Yin clan’s alchemy is too strange. I’ve already refined pills following her methods so many times, but the pills are never that great.” Bei Gong Ao said.

“There’s no way we can keep going on like this.” Gu Yun Er was rather upset, “Are you really doing this for the sake of the Yin Clan’s alchemy or could it be that you can’t let go of that sl*t?”

Bei Gong Ao pulled Gu Yun Er close as he said tenderly, “What nonsense are you saying, could it be that you don’t know what my goal is, even after all these years?”

“But if she remains silent, doesn’t that mean you have to keep her around?” Gu Yun Er asked, “As for that kid, it’s clear that we keep him around to use as leverage against her, but she’s the one who’s using him as leverage against us now. This isn’t right! I get upset just looking at them.”

“Silly Yun Er.” Bei Gong Ao held on to her and led her forward. He said, “You’re the only person in my heart, but you’re still jealous. Why don’t we do this? We’ll give her another two years. If she refuses to reveal the secrets after two years, we’ll kill both mother and son, okay?”

“You’re the one who said it. If she’s still alive after two years, I will kill her myself. When that time comes, your clan had better not blame me for it.”

“Okay, okay…”

The two continued chatting as they walked away, and Little Roar almost fell off the roof in anger when he heard their conversation.

“Those two baddies. I’ll definitely give them a good show if they come back here!”

He climbed off the roof and two bees flew over. They led him over into the house before turning down a street.

“Is this the place?” Little Roar flew over. The bees stopped where they were and ‘pointed’, revealing an underground passage right before him.

“Buzz buzz-” The bees flew in front of Little Roar.

“Are you saying that they’re down there?” Little Roar looked at the dark gloomy passage and said, “I’m terrified of darkness. It scares me just looking at it.”

“Buzz buzz-”

One of the scarlet bees flew down, but was blocked by the barrier.

“There’s actually a barrier.” Little Roar said, “Let’s go. Follow me down.”

As he spoke, he stretched out a paw and hugged the two scarlet bees, flying down the passageway.”

“So dark-” Little Roar flew forward based on instinct. It was only when he reached the end that he saw a prison. There were two prisons. In one of them lay a male, and in the other lay a female.

A small lamp hung in the corridor, giving off a weak light.

Little Roar did not appear immediately, observing things in the dark.

However, the two of them were lifeless and none of them opened their mouth to speak. It was only when Little Roar was about to lose his patience then a raspy voice carried over from inside.

“Do you really have no way to contact them? Does the Yin clan truly not care about us?”

After not speaking for so long, that male seemed as if he was going to lose his ability to speak soon.

Yin Lan remained silent. She was already extremely drained from refining pills just now.

“That man… it seems that he is going to lose his patience soon. Even if you try to preserve my life by threatening to give up yours, it seems we are about to reach our end soon.” Bei Gong Hang sat up, saying, “I don’t know where Elder Sister is right now or how she’s living. If we die, will she ever find out?”

“I’m sorry, dear Hang. If I had let you escape back then, you wouldn’t have been locked in here with me for so many years,” Yin Lan said.

“Mum, if I was the one you had let escape back then, I’m afraid that the three of us would have been dead long ago.” Bei Gong Hang leaned against the wall. He looked at the dark walls as if he could look past it, and at the sky. “However, when I see that woman’s expression, I’m afraid that she won’t be able to stand us much longer.”

“After being locked away for so many years, being able to die would be a sort of conclusion as well.” Yin Lan looked guiltily at Bei Gong Hang, “Mum has really let you down the most…”

“Mum, do you think Elder Sister will return and save us?” Bei Gong Hang felt no fear at his impending death. Thinking back on what he said, he laughed at himself in disbelief, “Even if Elder Sister were alive, she wouldn’t be able to build herself up in such a short period of time to come and save us. I only hope that she will be able to take revenge on our behalf when she returns.”

Little Roar had heard about enough as he flew in front of the prison. He opened his eyes wide and asked, “Are you Yin Lan and Bei Gong Hang?”

Yin Lan and Bei Gong Tang were startled by the black silhouette as he suddenly appeared. How did this thing suddenly appear in front of them?

“Who are you?” Bei Gong Hang looked at Little Roar suspiciously.

“I am Little Roar. Are you Yin Lan and Bei Gong Tang?” LIttle Roar asked again.

“Yes. Did that lady send you here to kill us?” Bei Gong Hang asked.

Aside from this possibility, he could not imagine who else would be able to get past the barrier and come here.

However, seeing that black rotund body with shiny big eyes, he didn’t have a bit of murderous aura and didn’t seem like he had come to kill them.

“It’s fine as long as that’s who you are.” Little Roar took out a pendant from who-knows-where, asking, “Do you recognise this?”

Yin Lan was so shocked that her mouth fell wide open when she saw the pendant, and covered her mouth with disbelief.
