Chapter 224: His love is for real. (3)

“Boss, here’s a list of all the recent movies,” said Siyi as he respectfully handed Huo Sishen a printed-out sheet.

His boss suddenly wanted to acquire a movie theater and wanted to inspect it in person… Yeah right!

The boss wanted to go on a date with Miss Gu!

Only his boss would treat a date like it was some important meeting.

Siyi had a lot of respect for that.

Huo Sishen took the list from Siyi, glanced at it, and frowned.

Siyi gulped.

“I have included their ratings online. Anything above a 7 is pretty decent.

“A few of them were work of some well-known directors. There are also a few foreign films as well.”

Siyi was about to turn from being an assistant to a dating consultant.

Apparently, though, his job description has yet to be approved by his boss.

“Take out the horror films.”

“Nothing with gun fight either… distasteful.”

Siyi was about to start sweating.

“Then we still have two left. They are rated pretty high as well.”

Holding a pen in his hand, Huo Sishen put a big “X” behind the movie titles.

“Animation? Childish.”

“Romance…. Stupid!”

Siyi, “……”

Nothing was good?

Should we buy the film companies too?!

Huo Sishen mulled over it for over a minute before he tapped the piece of paper with his pen.

“Go print me another one.

“And bring it back with us.”

Siyi’s brows lifted.

Oh yeah!

Let’s have Miss Gu pick!

“Print a list of all the movies from this year.”

Siyi, “……”

When it came to educating his wife girl at home, Huo Sishen took this matter very seriously.

Movie appreciation was a very important part of it.

It must be taken seriously.

With a solemn look, Huo Sishen said, “I am calling it a day.”

Siyi looked at the time.

Ugh. It’s not even 5 PM yet. The boss was going to leave work early!

Before Huo Sishen left work, he glanced over at the assistant’s area outside of his office.

He then gave Siyi a chilling look.

Siyi got his meaning instantly and walked out.

He returned five minutes later.

In the assistant’s area outside, Xu Jiao the highly competent assistant was, once again, dressed up like a blooming flower and she even have bright red lipstick on today.

She was just about to go and delivery a document.

When she heard a loud scream coming from behind her.

“Have you heard? The boss of the Business Unit is diagnosed with cancer.”

“Oh! Really?”

“It was said that he went inside of the boss’s office for ten minutes three days ago.”

“Oh mi! Had he forgotten?”

“That’s so unfortunate.”

“How many does that make him?”

Xu Jiao didn’t understand what they were talking about but she felt that somehow the content of the gossip was bad news to her.

She reached out her hand and asked the other assistants weakly.

“What is going on?”

The company was too big and handled many different types of work.

One assistant would not be able to handle all of the work.

Xu Jiao was a personal assistant.

She was responsible for booking plane tickets, hotels, meals, making coffees and the likes for Huo Sishen.

With the exception of Siyi, she was the one who went in and out of Huo Sishen’s office the most.

She had been there for less than a week.

And she had been inside of the boss’s office for over ten times already.

Xu Jiao’s heart started pounding.

“Didn’t they tell you when you start?” asked a bespectacled middle-aged man holding onto his beer gut.

“It was written on the new hire manual to keep your distance from the boss.”

Xu Jiao was a little stunned.

She knew that.

“Because he is germophobic, no?”

The look on the middle-aged man suddenly turned very mysterious.

He lowered his voice and carefully glanced over at the CEO office.

“The boss, is a walking curse.”

Xu Jiao found that ridiculous. “Eh? Brother Zhou, isn’t that just superstitious?”

“Are you not in our office’s group chat? Oh, you joined later. The formerly department head of Human Resource only said one sentence to the boss and had a stroke. He retired immediately.

“And then there was the one from the Administration Department. She shook hand with the boss and pssst… got into a car accident on her way home.

“Then there’s the girl that you are hired to replace. She was walking on flat ground when she sprained her ankle and injured her Achilles tendon. She needed surgery and can’t come back to work for three months.”

Xu Jiao turned paler and paler as she listened. “That’s… that’s just all coincidences, right?”

“Well, you don’t have to believe me. Truth was, boss’s cursed had killed his own father and his wife. We’ve heard that most of his family members are dead.”

Xu Jiao shuddered and the mug that she had just filled with water dropped onto the floor.
