Chapter 213: Fang Shaohua’s Precious Girl (Part 2)

She was his precious girl.

When he was six years old, his adopted mother gave birth to Fang Xinxin. Her cuteness caused him to become enamored with her.

During his youth, he earnestly wished to quickly grow older so that he could protect her.

It wasn’t until he got older that he realized that his feelings for her had not just grown deeper but also deviated. From mere kinship to sibling love to…

He had started to love her, extremely, deeply, madly.

He wanted to marry her, and take care of her for the rest of her life!

In the Fang family, she was the real daughter and he was merely an adopted son.

Thus, since young, he worked hard to remain the valedictorian from elementary school till college.

He hoped that when he finally became an accomplished man after entering the society and thus became worthy of her, he would be able to tell his parents about his heart’s desire.

He had no blood-relations with Xinxin, so legally speaking, as long as their parents agreed, he would be able to marry her.

But alas, man proposes, god disposes!

Before he could even grow up, Bai Qinghao appeared as Xinxin’s fiancé. It nearly drove him mad with jealousy and anger.

Had it not been for Bai Qinghao, he believed that his adoptive parents would have agreed to his proposal.

To him, Bai Qinghao was a rival that had stolen his love. He would rather die than owe him a favor!

Besides, his heart had never stopped loving Xinxin. If he could…

He would still fight for her heart!

Hence, if he ended up owing Bai Qinghao a favor, how would he fight for his girl?

He believed that it was the power of the Bai Family that had allowed Bai Qinghao to forcefully occupy the position of XinXin’s fiancé.

The only way he lost to Bai Qinghao was in terms of family background.

How many years had it been already?

He spent each day waiting for Bai Qinghao to become a failure, to turn into a wastrel.

But sadly, Bai Qinghao remained excellent in all aspects. Even without relying on Bai family’s merits, he had outstanding accomplishments and a long, glorious history in the business arena. He personally created the Sheng Shi Group that stood above all other companies, globally. He had a presence in almost every industry and country.

Although Fang Shaohua was similarly brilliant, he could not help but feel inadequate in comparison.

As a result, he could only bury his love for Xinxin deep within his heart.

Regarding Bai Chenxi, he had always felt that what Xinxin felt for him was a mere crush that she would eventually get over.

In his eyes, Bai Chenxi was not worth any consideration.

He was unwilling to owe Bai Qinghao favors firstly, in case Bai Qinghao treated her badly he could justify stealing Xinxin back. Secondly, he really didn’t want Xinxin to be wronged on the account of owing a favor to the Bai Family

Fang Xinxin saw the dazed look on her brother’s face and asked softly.”What’s on your mind, brother?”

He quickly regained his bearings and replied. “Nothing.”

Although he was temporarily released from prison, his criminal records had yet to be dealt with.

He had no future and therefore no right to pursue her.

His love for her could only remain buried deep within his heart.

Perhaps, he would never have a chance to lay out his feelings for her.

“I feel that Mom started changing after I turned eleven. Even though she tried her best to hide it, she is no longer the woman who loved us.” Fang Xinxin thought out loud. “Right now, she seems more like a jackal that has nothing on her mind but the assets of the Fang Group.”

Fang Shaohua also put out his thoughts frankly. “Before I entered prison, my entire energy was devoted towards managing the business of the Fang Group. Even before that, I was living in the dormitory, and thus rarely returned home. During my college days, there was actually no need for me to stay in the dorms, but she made me stay there, and even during holidays she made me take up part-time jobs instead of allowing me to return home.”
