Chapter 691: Start Of The Wedding Ceremony

She was extremely grateful that he was representing their parents to send her out.

More importantly, she was thankful that he never once exposed his feelings for her. He always prioritised her well being above all else.

“Young Master, Madam. The guests have arrived at the wedding in the Yu Ting Villa. It’s time to head over.” Butler Zhao reminded them from the side.

Bai Qinghao nodded lightly. He held Fang Xinxin’s hand and guided her towards the frontmost car.

A row of luxury cars slowly drove out of the Fang family home. They occupied several kilometres of road and made for an imposing sight. Nearly the entire country was watching their celebration.

The cars then drove into the Yu Ting Villa. Bai Qinghao held Fang Xinxin’s hand to get out of the car. They walked across a long red carpet and were surrounded by reporters whose cameras clicked endlessly.

There was a white, romantic backdrop, an entry way made of fresh flowers and an extravagantly decorated path. A massive, heart-shaped hot air balloon floated in the azure sky. It was decorated with pink ribbons covered in swarovskis. The swarovskis sparkled dazzlingly against the sunshine. Further up ahead, the main wedding venue was covered in pink rose petals.

The entire venue was stunningly beautiful and incomparable!

All the guests present today were capable individuals from all walks of life. Bai Qinghao’s father, Bai Hong, was greeting the guests himself.

Grandfather Bai remained unconscious and Ye Yunzhi had stayed behind in the hospital to care for him.

Huang Zhishu had gone all out to dress elegantly this morning. She stood with her son, Bai Chenxi, amidst the guests and greeted them as though she was one of the hosts.

It was a pity that nearly all the guests, who were present, understood that the two of them did not occupy much position in the Bai family. Their attitudes towards them remained lukewarm.

Bai Jingrou, on the other hand, had taken great care to dress up. She wore a light yellow off-shoulder gown. Her hair was tied in a bun and her make-up was carefully and delicately applied. She made for a pleasing sight.

As she was the Long Group’s Director’s granddaughter, a lot of men had surrounded her in hopes of gaining her favour. It could be seen that she was favoured by a small but influential circle of people.

Fang Shaohua’s car had also arrived at the Yu Ting villa. He stepped into the place and took in the extravagantly decorated venue. It was filled to the brim with guests. He was immeasurably dejected.

Indeed, Bai Qinghao was more capable of giving Xinxin the happiness she deserved.

He searched the place for Sun Jiamu’s figure but did not find her.

The enormous wedding stage was around half a metre tall. It was lined with a red carpet and the backdrop was decorated with fresh flowers. Yuan Qi, the host of the wedding, began speaking. “Some of the most talented and wealthiest people have gathered here today, coming from all spheres of life. I represent the groom and the bride to welcome everyone…”

He went on and on to flatter the guests as well as the couple. After some time, he said, “Next, let us invite our groom and bride to come on stage to exchange their rings!”

Bai Qinghao, who was dressed in a well-pressed suit, went up the stage first. He stood by the host’s side and faced the audience.

His perfect, charming features and noble charisma immediately caused all the women present to swoon. “The groom is so handsome!”

As music began to play, Fang Xinxin held Fang Shaohua’s arm while she made her way down the long path. She arrived at the centre of the square stage ahead.

“Wow, the bride is too beautiful!” Another wave of praises began.

Fang Shaohua represented Fang Xinxin’s father. He received the microphone from the host and spoke to Bai Qinghao. “As Fang Xinxin’s brother, I am personally handing my sister over to you today. I hope that you’ll spend the rest of your life loving and caring for her well. Otherwise, I won’t let you off!”

Only god knew that, for him to hand over the woman he had always loved to another man, was as painful as having to slit his own wrist.
