Chapter 79: Absolute Overpowering, Meeting Abbe Again

Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios

These were five different types of Titans—Thunder Titans, Ocean Titans, Storm Titans, Lava Titans, Earth Titans!

“Pure-blooded Titans can grow as tall as over 20 meters after they mature into adults and are as strong as Ninth-Grade Warriors at their pinnacle. They can challenge some of the weaker Saint Domains and are by no means inferior to us pure-blooded Dragons.”

Ol’ Amos sighed emotionally and went on. “The Titans are a race with low numbers in Heaven’s Vault Continent and have many things in common with us Dragons. We are both powerful and come from a noble bloodline.

“Our reproductive rates are also just as low, of course. This has resulted in an extremely low number of pure-blooded Titans, while there are a large number of Demigiants that possess Titan bloodlines instead!”

Meng Lei couldn’t help but remark, “In that aspect, they’re certainly very similar to the Dragon God Empire, where there are few Colossal Dragons but a great number of Drakes!”

“Yes, very similar, indeed!” Ol’ Amos nodded slightly.

Meng Lei didn’t ask any further. Instead, he placed his full attention on the battle taking place at the front. Not only was the Golden Colossal Dragon Person’s might beyond comparison and his battle capabilities fearsome, but he was also a dual cultivator of magic and martial arts!

Unfortunately, he was at a complete disadvantage against the six Demigiants. Not only did they possess domineering, great strength, but they could also control the earth.

With their feet planted on the ground, the Demigiants completely overpowered the Golden Colossal Dragon Person. To be more accurate, they were beating him into a pulp.

“The Golden Colossal Dragon Person is close to his limit!” Ol’ Amos shook his head lightly. “Brat, get ready to save him!”

“Save him? Why are we saving him?” Meng Lei was rather reluctant. “If I take out the Demigiants in the name of avenging him only after they kill him, not only will I be able to monopolize the six Demigiants’ assets, but I can also inherit his. Isn’t that wonderful?”

Ol’ Amos, who was rather appalled by his words, berated him furiously, “He’s one of us Dragon People after all. Can you bear to leave him in the lurch?!”

“Absolutely!” Meng Lei chuckled sneakily and added, “It’s not like we know each other anyway.”

“How can you do that?!” Ol’ Amos was fuming mad. “I know you’re a commoner by birth and don’t have any sense of belonging toward the empire and fellow Dragon People, but in your body ultimately flows the...”

“Alright, alright! Stop nagging, Ol’ President!” Meng Lei shrugged and said, “I just need to save him, right?”

However, despite saying that, Meng Lei remained where he was without any indication that he was going to do anything. This greatly displeased Ol’ Amos, and he snapped. “What are you waiting for? If you dawdle any longer, he’s going to croak!”

“You’re not getting it, Ol’ President.” A chuckling Meng Lei explained, “I’ll wait for the Demigiants to push him so far into a corner that he becomes utterly hopeless and knows that he’s doomed for sure before I make a move. That way, I can earn his utmost gratitude and maximize my profits!”

Just listen to what he’s saying!

Is that something a Dragon Person should be saying?!

Ol’ Amos’ eyelids uncontrollably twitched as he tried his darnedest to suppress his urge to beat him up. He chastised him furiously, “An immature little brat like you shouldn’t be having that many nonsensical thoughts in your head! Cut the crap and save him!”

“Ahhh!”

At that moment, one of the Demigiants struck the Golden Colossal Dragon Person, who didn’t manage to dodge in time, right in the chest, causing a great deal of blood to spurt from his mouth.

Upon seeing this, the six Demigiants’ fists, which were as large as brass hammers, smashed toward him like raindrops falling from the sky, their attacks especially violent and ferocious.

“It’s all over!!”

The Golden Colossal Dragon Person fell to the ground, hopelessness filling his eyes. His breastbone was crushed and broken, and he was utterly powerless to dodge the attack. Should the attacks land, he’d be smashed into a bloody pulp for sure.

At the sight of this, a furious Ol’ Amos urged Meng Lei, “What are you still waiting for, brat?! He’s going to die!”

“Haha, I was waiting for this exact moment!”

Meng Lei burst into laughter. Then, he smacked his palms against the ground.

Boom!

The ground began to shake all of a sudden. Caught off-guard, the six Demigiants almost fell flat on their faces. Due to their massive sizes, it was very easy for them to lose their balance.

“What’s going on?”

As a jolt went through the Golden Colossal Dragon Person, he noticed someone descending from the sky and standing in front of him. His hair was unkempt and disheveled, and he had his back to him, which prevented him from getting a good look at his face.

“Who are you?”

The six Demigiants steadied themselves after stumbling. Raging fury and savagery brimmed in their huge, brass bell-like eyes as they glared furiously at Meng Lei, who had suddenly butted into their battle out of nowhere. They roared, “How dare a cheap, lowly human like you ruin our plans? Die!”

“A cheap, lowly human? Very well!”

An icy smile formed on Meng Lei’s face, and he instantly vanished from where he was. By the time he reappeared, he’d already charged all the way up to the Demigiant. As the Demigiant stared at him in stunned astonishment, Meng Lei’s fist rammed right into his abdomen.

Boom!

A tremendous power erupted with a thunderous boom. Amid the crisp and clear crack of bones snapping, the Demigiant was unsurprisingly thrown out. He flew through the air and broke a large, towering tree so thick that one could barely circle their arms around it right into two.

“Gisley!”

Greatly astonished, the other Demigiants stared at Meng Lei as though they couldn’t believe what they’d just seen. Never would they ever have thought that Meng Lei, who didn’t reach even their knees, would actually possess such terrifying strength!

He’d actually sent Gisley flying with a punch!

Just how powerful was that?!

“Five of them left.”

Meng Lei licked his lips and vanished from where he was again.

“Look out!”

Alarm bells went off in the Demigiants’ heads, and they became even more on guard, but it was to no avail.

Meng Lei abruptly appeared in front of another Demigiant. His right leg swung through the air and kicked a demi-giant right in his jaw. With a crisp snap, a cry escaped him, and he was flung out as well.

“Four left.”

He landed on the ground and vanished again.

Boom!

“Three left.”

“Just two now.”

“Last one.”

In the blink of an eye, all six Demigiants had been sent flying. Without waiting for them to get back up, six thunder spears shining with a blinding light descended from the heavens and pierced through their throats!

Splurt!

All six Demigiants’ outraged eyes were widened big and round, filled with resentment and chagrin, unable to rest in peace!

“Game over!”

Meng Lei showed himself and gazed at the six Demigiants. He wasn’t even out of breath, and he carried himself with a calm and cool composure as if he hadn’t lifted a finger at all.

“H-how strong!”

Totally astounded, the Golden Colossal Dragon Person stared at Meng Lei from the back. In his eyes, Meng Lei’s back view was so big and tall, stalwart, and beyond one’s reach...

“Are you alright?”

Meng Lei turned around and faced the Golden Colossal Dragon Person with a warm smile, just like a morally upright gentleman.

It was then that the Golden Colossal Dragon Person finally got a good look at Meng Lei. His eyes turned big and round at once, and he stammered, “How... How come it’s you?”

“Huh? Do we know each other?”

Meng Lei looked greatly taken aback. He looked the Golden Colossal Dragon Person up and down but found him a total stranger.

I’ve never seen him before! Why does he recognize me?

The Golden Colossal Dragon Person kept silent and gazed straight at Meng Lei for a brief moment. Then, his golden dragon scales slowly faded to reveal a familiar and ordinary-looking face.

Meng Lei jerked fiercely, and he exclaimed, “Abbe?!”

“Yes, it’s me!”

Abbe nodded slowly and got up from the ground with his hand held over his chest. Then, with a flip of his hand, he brought out a test tube filled with blue liquid, threw his head back, and downed it in a gulp.

Abbe’s complexion improved significantly after the liquid entered his system. He looked at Meng Lei, his eyes full of complex emotions, and remarked, “I’d never imagined that you’d become this strong after just a separation of half a month.”

“It really is you, Abbe!”

Meng Lei shook his head, not quite knowing what to say. How did he even bump into Abbe at a place like this? What a coincidence!

“Why are you here, though? Weren’t you supposed to return to the capital when the winter break started?”

Although they were housemates, because they’d rarely interacted, the only thing Meng Lei knew about Abbe was that he was from the capital and nothing else. He’d assumed that Abbe had returned to his hometown during the winter break. Little did he think that he’d actually come to Magical Beast Forest, too!

“I don’t want to go back!”
