Chapter 404: Life Dominus, A Graveless Death

“Aahhh!”

“Aahhh!”

“Aahhh!”

Shrill screams rang in the skies above the Colossal Dragon Mountain as Puhaman, Sacas, and the other four grimaced from the inhumane suffering of the soul searching.

Pain!

It was too painful!

“Puhaman!”

“Galen!”

“You bastard!”

Nadja and the rest looked on as they widened their eyes to the point of splitting. They wished they could charge and fight those six Chief Gods with their lives, but they were all suppressed to the ground, completely immobilized.

After a few minutes, the soul searching ended while the screams of horror died down. They had the same fate as Fatty Hart as their eyes turned blank and lifeless. They had clearly turned into idiots from the violent soul searching, and they would never return to normal.

Vados and the six Chief Gods threw the six mentally disabled deities to one side and looked at each other, seeing the alarm and shock in each other’s eyes.

“So this is the answer we’re looking for?” the Frost Gods Chief God asked somberly.

“Die!”

“That fellow must die!”

“If he doesn’t die, the Boundless King disaster will repeat itself, and a catastrophe will engulf the entire universe!”

“We must find him and bring him to the Chief God Tribunal to be executed. Or else, he will be the next Boundless King, or much worse!”

Chief God Vados waved her arm and bellowed, “Find him! No matter what, we must find him!”

“Yes, Your Holiness!”

The six Chief Gods bowed slightly and began their search. Vados flipped her hand as a pale golden leaf appeared on her palm.

The power of Chief God entered the golden leaf as it started to shine brightly. Golden rays of light shot up the sky and combined into a towering figure.

She had a head of green hair that cascaded like a waterfall and a terrifying aura reaching into the skies and deep into the ground. She was like heaven and earth, ruling everything and in control of anything.

“O great Life Dominus!”

Vados bowed slightly with reverence.

“Have you found that murderer?” The Life Dominus spoke slowly. Her voice was like a spring breeze in march, warm and pleasant. It was like a hot spring that could cleanse souls.

“My great Dominus, we have not found him yet, but...”

Vados spoke respectfully. “But I obtained reliable information. That person’s potential threat is unprecedented, possibly more than the Boundless King in the past. I request to send out all the Chief Gods to find that man and execute him immediately!”

“Is it that serious, Vados?”

The Life Dominus was rather surprised.

Who was the Boundless King?

That was someone who had stolen and occupied a juvenile Boundless Great Beast and grown into an adult Boundless Great Beast, whose capabilities were no less than the four Juggernauts. If it was not for the combined effort of the four great Juggernauts and over 100 Chief Gods, no one could be certain that they could be exterminated.

Who could be associated with such a powerful being?

“My great Dominus, that fellow has not yet reached 45 years old, but he has already comprehended the time-based and spatial laws of nature. We are dealing with a freak of an unprecedented level!”

Vados bowed and replied, “If we let him progress any further, he will surely be more disastrous than the Boundless King!”

“Is that the truth, Vados?”

The Life Dominus raised her voice by a notch.

“I spoke no lies,” Vados replied respectfully.

The Life Dominus went silent for quite a while before she said, “This is a different situation from the Boundless King. We cannot conclude over such a matter until we meet him in person. Vados, find him immediately! I’ll make my way there with the other Juggernauts and Chief Gods.”

“Yes, my great Dominus!”

With that said, the Life Dominus dissipated into the air. Vados did not dare to make any further delay as she began her search quickly. With the capabilities of her powerful divine spirit as a Chief God and the Power of Existential Plane of the Earth Divine Realm, her divine cognition could cover an astonishingly extensive range.

It could not be any more simple to find someone.

Unfortunately, as most of the day had gone by, she could not find Meng Lei at all. Vados became furious. “This damned bastard! Where the hell is he? Perhaps he had already left the Earth Divine Realm? If so, that’s a huge problem!”

“Any news over there?”

“No, I didn’t.”

“He’s not here.”

“He doesn’t even exist here.”

“It’s like this fellow has vanished without a trace.”

Knowing that nothing turned up for the other Chief Gods, Vados was raging even more.

“Keep searching! We must find him before the four great Juggernauts descend upon this realm with other Chief Gods!”

Where was Meng Lei right now?

He was in the Void.

The alternate dimension had dissipated, and the teleportation magic circle linked to the shrine was destroyed. Thus, he had been exiled into the Void. He had to find a way himself to return to the Earth Divine Realm.

It would not be an issue for Meng Lei.

As long as he could sense the Earth Divine Realm, he could tear open the Void to teleport back instantly.

The step to sense the Earth Divine Realm was much easier. Since the divine spirit origin energies of Puhaman and the rest were in his hands, he could use the link between them.

A moment later, Meng Lei sensed the location of the Earth Divine Realm and teleported into the sky above the Nidhogg Colossal Dragon Mountain.

“Mm?”

“Such a powerful aura!”

“All of a sudden?”

“Is this that fellow?”

“Let’s head over and take a look!”

Once Meng Lei appeared, he was discovered by the seven Chief Gods.

Whoosh!

The seven Chief Gods appeared instantly to surround Meng Lei entirely.

“Seven Chief Gods?”

Meng Lei raised an eyebrow, as he was not too surprised about it.

He had killed the Titan Chief God, Nidhogg, and the Angel Chief God. It would only be natural for these Chief Gods to come for revenge.

Meng Lei looked at the seven Chief Gods while they sized him up too. Curiosity, puzzlement, and disbelief could be seen from their faces.

“Master!”

“Our Master, he’s back!”

Once he saw Meng Lei, Nadja, and the Spider Goddess were jubilant as they were overwhelmed in excitement. They had never longed for Meng Lei to show up as much as how they currently did.

“Why are all of you in such a state?”

Meng Lei’s face darkened as he looked at Nadja and those immobilized on the ground, especially so when he saw the six puppet-like subordinates lying around on one side. “Wait, where’s Fatty Hart?”

“Fatty Hart was killed by him, Master!”

Nadja pointed at the Frost Gods Chief God, Chilled, and replied angrily, “He searched Fatty Hart’s divine spirit and turned him into a fool before brutally killing him! And Puhaman, Bubbles, and the other four were searched as well, becoming mentally unsound too!”

“Master, you must avenge them!”

“Master, kill these Chief Gods! They’re too wicked!”

“Well done! Well done, indeed!”

Meng Lei looked at the seven Chief God with a cold stare.

“Nidhogg, is he the murderer?”

Vados ignored Meng Lei as she released Nidhogg and the other two Chief Gods’ remnant souls.

“That’s him, Your Holiness!”

Upon the sight of Meng Lei, Nidhogg’s eyes were filled with resentment and bitterness. “It was him who killed me, Dawson, and Raphael! Please avenge us, Your Holiness!”

“Curse you, knave! How I ought to feast on your flesh, rip out your skin...”

The Titan Chief God and the Angel Chief God started cursing hysterically.

“How dare mere remnant spirits bark here?”

Meng Lei scoffed as a divine cognition blast wave ravaged the vicinity, instantly decimating the three remnant souls. The three great Chief Gods were now gone eternally.

“What insolence!”

Vados was enraged. “Knave! How dare you murder the three great Chief Gods! It’s insanity and perverse to the extreme! Return to the Chief God Tribunal immediately to stand trial before the four great Juggernauts if you know what’s good for you! Or else, you’ll die a graveless death!

“Graveless? Hehe, I’ll show you what it means to die graveless!”
