Chapter 1314 UntitledWhile debugging the network, she heard the commotion and tugged Qin Mo, pulling him downstairs.Probably due to her sleeping posture, Bo Jiu’s hair was ruffled and sticking out in places. After fiddling around with the wires, her nose was covered in dust but she still managed to look like a young master.

The moment she arrived on the first floor, Lin Feng exclaimed his happiness. He spread his arms wide, prepared to give her a big hug. But before he touched her, a poker card flew over, piercing his shoe. He leapt up in pain. “F*ck, where did the poker card come from? Why is it so…”

Before he could express the pain, he stiffened from the gaze that was directed at him. That gaze was deep and unfathomable, careless and without a hint of warmth.

Lin Feng stilled, calling out cautiously, “Captain.”

Qin Mo smiled. “Apologies, my hand slipped.”

“Ah, oh!” Lin Feng was at a loss for words. His captain was so polite he seemed out of reach. Their captain had never apologized when he was putting them in his place and he would usually forbid them from eating meat during meals.

Those familiar with him knew he only treated outsiders so politely. Were they considered outsiders?

The thought made him upset. It was only momentary though since nothing mattered more than him being back safely.

The naive Lin Feng sincerely believed that Qin Mo’s hand had slipped and was about to reach out for Bo Jiu’s shoulders. “Little Spade, I brought you a carton of beer bottles. Aren’t I the best?”

Swoosh! This time, the poker card flew past his head, accurately slicing off a small chunk of hair. Lin Feng stilled, turning to his captain with a sullen expression. “Did your hand slip again?”

“Of course.” Qin Mo smiled faintly. “I was aiming for your hand.”

Lin Feng turned towards his teammates to seek grievances. Yun Hu was the only humane one though, pulling Lin Feng behind him. The others looked at him with the same expression – as if he deserved it.

F*ck! What was with them!

Little Spade was the worst, speaking with a serious expression, “Team flower, I told you I have a family now, you can’t just touch me as you please. My boyfriend won’t be happy. You should be mindful next time.”

Lin Feng: … We were brothers and back then, you had been the one who had slung your arm around me, telling me I was a submissive without any threat. I never expected you to behave in such a manner!

Their banters were a reflection of their former self.

Uncle Yin smiled while holding his cigarette. Coco and Feng Shang bit down on the bunny ears while Rao Rong and Lin Chentao added to the conversation appropriately. All of them seemed to be at ease.

Bo Jiu flaunted her love suavely with despicable mannerisms. Qin Mo sat beside her lazily, his arms slouching on the back of her chair. Even though they weren’t behaving intimately, they always seemed to be a single entity.

It was a bustling atmosphere as they chattered on happily while feasting on the meat and beer. Xue Yaoyao watched the crowd, warmth spreading within her. It was great. They might be covered in scars and bruises but they were finally back…
