Chapter 1521: Innocence (2)

Feng Xun asked, “Will that be enough?”

Feng Wu said, “Yes, that’ll do. Go now, and don’t let other people notice you.”

Feng Xun said, “Alright.”

Feng Xun slipped away when all eyes were on Feng Wu without bringing any attention to himself.

Meanwhile, Emperor Wu was questioning Feng Wu. “Were they telling the truth?”

Feng Wu walked up to Emperor Wu and knelt down. “Your Majesty, I didn’t do it.”

Emperor Wu looked calmly at Feng Wu.

Feng Wu was equally calm. She pointed at the two roast fish on the table and said quietly, “Your Majesty, I swear to God that I didn’t roast these two fish. If I lie about any of this, may God take all my cultivation ability!”

That was a rather impressive declaration!

Mrs Zuo’s eyes flickered. “Feng Wu, aren’t you afraid that your oath will come true?”

Feng Wu said calmly, “I’m not.”

Mrs Zuo said, “Admit what you’ve done now!”

Feng Wu still said calmly, “I’ll never admit to things I haven’t done, nor can anyone force me to!”

Mrs Zuo was furious. “You’ve done a terrible thing, but you’re denying it!”

Feng Wu asked, “Where’s your proof?”

Mrs Zuo said, “The princesses are witnesses, and the two fish are the evidence! There’s your proof! How dare you deny it?!”

Feng Wu smiled at Mrs Zuo. “If that proof is solid, His Majesty would have punished me already, and not just question me.”

Mrs Zuo said, “You —”

Feng Wu turned to look at Emperor Wu, who was staring at her with a livid face and brooding eyes.

And he wasn’t the only one who looked like that.

Many people there doubted Feng Wu.

The two princesses both said the same thing, and Feng Wu was indeed the only one who had been roasting moon fish.

Feng Wu was still smiling. “Your Majesty, I can prove my innocence.”

Prove her innocence?

Everyone looked at her curiously and wondered how she was going to do it.

Emperor Wu’s eyes flickered as well. “Prove your innocence? How? What are you going to prove?”

Feng Wu smiled. “Princess Jun Wuxia said that I roasted those fish, so I’m going to prove that I definitely didn’t.”

Wait —

Everyone was intrigued. Was that doable?

“How is she going to do that?”

“Does she have some sort of visual record of herself roasting her fish?”

“If not, how can she prove it?”

Everyone was confused.

Even Emperor Wu gave Feng Wu a strange look. “How are you going to do that?”

Feng Wu smiled mildly. “With my capability, of course.”

She then raised her right hand and snapped her fingers.

At that moment, the door curtain was lifted, and Feng Xun walked in.

He was holding something in his hands.

“Those are —”

Everyone was surprised to see the things in his hands.

“It’s the grill and the moon fish.” Feng Wu looked at Emperor Wu. “Your Majesty, please allow me to prove my innocence.”

Emperor Wu couldn’t believe his ears. “So, you’re going to prove your innocence by roasting fish?”

Everyone else found that idea idiotic as well.

Feng Wu nodded calmly. “That’s right.”

Jun Wuxia almost burst out laughing.

What an idiot!
