Chapter 55: He Thought That He Hid It Well

However, when he noticed the surprised expression that Lu Zhanbei had, his laughter came to a sudden halt.

Oh! My! God!

Ms. Lin can’t be right!

Is there really someone that Mr. Lu likes? Who is it? Why did I not sense anything?

Lu Zhanbei recovered immediately. Looking at the girl on the rock who was resting her chin on her hand, Lu Zhanbei’s eyes flickered with a complicated emotion.

He thought that he hid it well.

He thought that no one would find out.

Another man on the tree opened his mouth, but Lin Wanwan cut him off before he could speak. “Don’t ask me how I know, I have divine foresight, you normies will never understand.”

“…”

The complicated look in Lu Zhanbei’s eyes faded like receding waves; the strange feeling that he had was also gone with the wind.

Lin Wanwan stood up and dusted her pants. She said confidently, “Even if I undress right in front of him, he won’t bat an eye. So stop lying to me and tell me the truth now!”

“Really? How would you know without trying?” Just then, a playful voice drifted into her ears.

“Lu Zhanbei?” Lin Wanwan exclaimed before she even saw him. “Why are you here!”

“Take a guess.”

“How much of the conversation did you hear?”

“Every single word.”

“…”

Lu Zhanbei strolled towards her. Under the moonlight, she couldn’t tell if he was grinning. At last, he stood right before Lin Wanwan, totally overlooking the two horrified men.

He raised his brows. “What are you waiting for? Undress.”

Sh*t, really?

Lin Wanwan quickly held onto his arm, trying to butter him up. Controlling her feelings of disgust, she put on a sweet expression.

“Honey, you don’t have to rush. When we are all alone, I’ll undress for you piece by piece, okay?”

Lu Zhanbei wrapped his arm around her waist. His smile was elegant and dignified, but his rough hand was gently caressing her.

“Ok.”

Lin Wanwan restrained her urge to escape. “Let’s leave now!”

Lu Zhanbei turned to Gu Mo. “I’ll leave it to you.”

Gu Mo signaled him an “ok.” Looking at the two grumbling losers, he smirked. “I’ll definitely discipline them well!”

Even after she’d gone quite some distance away, Lin Wanwan could hear them screaming for help.

She pulled open the passenger door of the car. Before she could get in, Lu Zhanbei ordered as if she was his servant: “You drive.”

“Why? Shouldn’t men be doing this kind of work? Don’t you know how to spell ‘gentleman’?”

Lu Zhanbei laid back in the passenger seat. “I have to save up my energy for important things.”

“Like?”

Lu Zhanbei gazed at her and his crimson lips curved. It was nefariously alluring.

“What else?”

He said the two words in a very carnal way.

Lin Wanwan slipped into the driver’s seat, mumbling, “I’ll just drive, you don’t have to mock me like this.”

She started the car skillfully.

When the car hit the highway, Lin Wanwan couldn’t hold in her excitement. Handling the steering wheel fluently, she felt a tinge of emotions.

Rolls-Royce limited edition cars were surely worthy of the price. Top-notch performance, and it felt marvelous to drive.

She suddenly desired to race again…

Out of nowhere, Lu Zhanbei said, “Excellent driving.”

“Of course, back in the days…”

Lin Wanwan was about to brag about her racing days when she suddenly realized something. She tightened her grip on the steering wheel and laughed awkwardly. “Haha, back in the days, I used to take my father’s car to practice. I’m somewhat a fast learner, so I think that made me a decent driver.”
