“Lingling, what are you talking about? I know Qin Chu’s fine, I believe Huo Mian, he’s definitely still alive.”

Gao Ran couldn’t bear to hear Lingling say that Qin Chu was dead.

“Mian, you’re a mother now, you need to think about your babies.” Jiang Xiaowei looked at Huo Mian heartbreakingly.

“Xiaowei, I’m really fine. I’m sorry for making you guys worry.”

“Stop apologizing, we just want the best for you and your babies,” Gao Ran consoled Huo Mian.

“Su Yu…”

Upon hearing his name, Su Yu immediately walked up to Huo Mian, who said, “Go home and get some rest, I know you’re exhausted. You’ve been acting crazy with me.”

“I’m not tired.”

“I don’t care, you have to go home. Zhixin, drive him home,” Huo Mian said resolutely.

Zhixin glanced at Su Yu, but he didn’t make a sound.

“But I…”

Just as Su Yu was about to say that he didn’t want to go, Jiang Xiaowei stopped him, “Yu, listen to Mian.”

“Okay then, I’ll go home. I can drive myself.”

“Zhixin, drive him home,” Huo Mian requested once again, leaving Zhixin no choice but to walk out with Su Yu.

When they arrived at his car, Su Yu turned around. “Go home, I can drive myself.”

Zhixin shook his head. “Just listen to Sis, she’s worried about you.”

Then, he got onto the driver’s seat of Su Yu’s Lamborghini, and the two of them drove off into the night…

On their way back to Su Yu’s mansion, Zhixin slowly opened his mouth, “Thank you for liking my sister.”

Upon hearing this, Su Yu froze.

Zhixin continued, “The only reason that nothing has happened to her is because you love her. I know how much you’ve done for my sister, and I know that she’s felt guilty all this time…”

“Don’t worry about it. Setting my feelings aside, Huo Mian and I… are good friends. It’s nothing.”

“But my sister’s in love with someone else. I’ve watched her for years and watched as she and my brother-in-law dated and broke up. I feel bad and heartbroken for her… I’m a big fan of my brother-in-law; others may not understand him, but I do. He’s a man of a few words, and rarely expresses his feelings through words. He’s always showed my sister how much he loves her through his actions. He’s done so much for her over the years… the ending he received is really unfair.”

“I feel really bad about what happened as well…” Su Yu said as he looked away; what he said was the truth. He might be rivals with Qin Chu, but Huo Mian was the one suffering the most from Qin Chu’s possible death.

He didn’t want to see Huo Mian so depressed, so he truly felt sad about what happened.

“The truth is, I’m trying to tell you that even if my brother-in-law is really dead, my sister still might not choose you. So, stop being so good to her, you’ll just fall deeper in love with her, and put more pressure on her.”

Su Yu was shocked by Zhixin’s words; he didn’t think the latter was capable of saying something like that.

“I know I may sound selfish, but it’s the truth. I’m saying this objectively and as Huo Mian’s little brother. Our family will pay you back with all we’ve got for what you’ve done for my sister, but stop putting pressure on her. She’s not someone who easily changes her mind. In this life, she’s only ever going to love my brother-in-law. Even if he’s really dead, I’m almost certain that she’ll raise her children alone, until she dies…”

After hearing what Zhixin said, Su Yu’s heart went cold.
