438 Years of Practice

There were still many people who had the time to come and eat ice at this time.

Now, Wufu and Xue Dagui had already sold eight small wooden boxes, which meant 400 popsicles had been sold. There were only four hours left, which was the best time to sell popsicles. How many popsicles would they sell then?

When Wufu, Xue Dagui, and the others finally squeezed through the crowd, Sifu noticed them and immediately smiled. “Wufu, you’ve sold them out so quickly?”

“Wait, wait, let me drink some water first.” Xue Wufu put down the two small wooden boxes he was carrying and used a ladle to scoop water from the bucket. He poured it into a large bowl and then raised his head to drink water.

He was dying of thirst. Xue Dagui and the other two popsicle sellers did the same, each pouring themselves a large bowl of water.

They were all extremely thirsty.

The small table was next to the bucket. After Xue Dagui filled his mouth with water, he directly sat beside Xue Yan on the long bench behind the small table.

“Xue Yan…” Xue Dagui grinned cheekily. “You and Jiang Yue must be so comfortable sitting here. How nice it would be if I were the one sitting here.”

Xue Sifu laughed, “Selling popsicles isn’t a heavy job. Xue Dagui, are you being picky? If you can read and write documents, I’ll let you sit here too, okay?”

Xue Dagui pouted. “I’m at a disadvantage because I’m uneducated.”

“How did it go? Did they really sell out?” Xue Sifu laughed.

Before Xue Dagui and the two men could say anything, Xue Wufu, who had already finished his drink, immediately said, “Everything! All of it was sold out! I didn’t expect it to be sold so quickly either. It’s all thanks to Xue Dagui’s shamelessness.”

“What do you mean by shameless?” Xue Sifu didn’t understand.

Jiang Yue and Xue Yan also looked at Xue Wufu.

“That’s because he’s not afraid of being scolded. We’re all peddling on the streets. If anyone wants to buy popsicles, we’ll just go to that person.

“Xue Dagui is so good at it that he doesn’t care if no one is there. He knocks on a door whenever he sees one. He’s not afraid of being scolded.

“When he’s scolded, he’s like a dead pig that’s not afraid of boiling water. He doesn’t care at all. He would even happily knock on the next door. Xue Dagui basically sold them all.”

Jiang Yue and Xue Yan looked at each other, not surprised at all.

“Xue Dagui, I didn’t expect you to have this ability.” Xue Sifu was amused.

“Well, I had a lot of years to practice.” Xue Dagui leaned back and crossed his legs, looking as if he was a shameless master. “Didn’t you want me to sell popsicles? I can just sell them. Why must I be like Wufu? He even scolded me for being so rude. I’m your uncle, I can sell it however I like!”

The other two men laughed and said, “We were too embarrassed to knock. We all shouted like Wufu. It’s really all thanks to Dagui that we sold out so quickly.”

“Sifu, let me tell you something.” Xue Wufu was still very excited, but he also looked very angry.

“Xue Dagui even went to the door of a particularly large family and asked them if they wanted popsicles. The servant guarding the door looked down on us and even told us to get lost.

“I was so angry that I wanted to leave, but Xue Dagui still smiled cheekily and gave a popsicle to the servant. He even said a basket of good things. Don’t you think it’s infuriating? Where did Xue Dagui learn this from?

“However, the servants immediately perked up right after and went in to help ask. Soon, a butler came out and bought two small wooden boxes of popsicles. He said that there were many people in the manor and they all wanted popsicles. He even said that if we have popsicles in the future, we can send them over to them.”
