Chen Jingzhai felt much more at ease when he returned to the exterior part of the cavern once again.
He followed the leyline and stopped in an empty room inside the cavern.
As soon as they came out of the wall, Miao Yun struggled to get away from him.
Without even thinking about it, Chen Jingzhai pinched the lady’s waist, which made her roll her eyes back at him.
The young man chuckled and was about to grab her once again so they could continue to move.
However, he forgot that Miao Yun had recovered to her full strength as well as the fact that she was still wearing his robe since she didn’t want to wear animal skin and it would take her a long time to create a magic robe.
That was why when he reached for her, she subconsciously avoided him. Thus, instead of grabbing her waist, his hands fell on her breasts instead.
It was the young man’s first time feeling something that soft in his hands in his second life.
“Let’s split up. We’ll have to knock all the young cultivators out and gather them here,” Miao Yun said while blushing before running out of the room.
Chen Jingzhai smiled as he watched her leave before moving back into the wall with the Burrowing Technique.
He agreed that they had to knock his peers out before gathering them together.
Since all the young cultivators had been living in fear for the past few days, it would be normal for them to get excited when they see Chen Jingzhai and Miao Yun come to the rescue.
As they were still kids, they would make a loud commotion.
The young man moved in the walls and ground around the cavern as if it were his own home. He couldn’t help but realize that he could move easier than before he had entered the Blessed Land.
As the cavern was still technically considered part of the Blessed Land, there was an abundance of Essence Power around him for him to freely utilize.
The Burrowing Technique felt easier to use than before.
When he returned to the cave that he had first been in, he finally saw the rest of the young cultivators.
Four of them were missing, and he could only guess that they had either frozen to death or been eaten.
Without an ounce of expression on his face, he walked out of the shadows and covered the mouth of one of the cultivators before moving back into the wall.
After knocking the first young cultivator out, he brought the kid to the empty room.
When he returned with the first cultivator, he found that Miao Yun had already rescued two of them.
Chen Jingzhai decided to speed things up and was able to rescue 50 cultivators in under two hours.
After that, he paused the operation and waited for Miao Yun to return.
“This many is all we can do. We can’t save all of them,” Chen Jingzhai said when she returned.
“I see…” Miao Yun let out a deep sigh as she watched the unconscious young cultivators.
Both of them had come to a silent agreement to save those who had succeeded in inducting Qi into their bodies, as those who had managed to do so would only be considered actual cultivators.
The others who had yet to do that were still considered normal people.
The kids that the Yellow Sands King had captured all had the three-element spirit root, since the young cultivators with dual spirit roots and Celestial Bone were well-protected by the masters.
“What should we do next?” the young man asked.
“Wait for me here,” Miao Yun replied. “I’ll see if I can find a chance to get rid of the snake demon. I’ll activate the explosion the moment I make my move, and you take that chance to activate the formation.”
“Noted!” Chen Jingzhai nodded without any hesitation and took the formation disks out.
The disks were Grade 1 magic items briefly made by Miao Yun, and there were three of them, all the size of a human palm. He placed them according to the Formation of Heavens, Earth, and Human.
These were used to protect the unconscious cultivators. However, since they were made in a hurry, the formation was only strong enough to repel shockwaves.
Even the attack from the snake demon would be enough to break through the barrier.
Once Miao Yun had left, Chen Jingzhai placed the formation disks and retreated into the wall.
He did not plan to activate the disk right away, as it would send a wave of Essence Power when that happened.
No matter how weak the wave was, it would still be enough to attract the attention of the demon soldiers. That was something that Chen Jingzhai wanted to avoid.
Unlike his Burrowing Technique, the formation had to be deployed with the help of its surroundings and by gathering the Power of Heavens and Earth.
On the contrary, his mastery of the Five-element Essence Power had far exceeded a normal person’s. Even Miao Yun would not be able to detect him controlling the Essence Power around them.
That was an imitation of the Unification of Heavens and Human benefited from achieving the innate physical body, something that every Foundation Plane Cultivator wished to achieve.
When Miao Yun arrived at the snake hole, she could feel the cold air in it.
Because of the low temperature, almost all of the psychedelic sand vipers had fallen into slumber.
The two cold jade spiders were completely frozen while covered in green goo.
As no one had yet entered the hole, no one had noticed that she had been gone for more than a day.
She stood in the middle of the room, and her face suddenly turned red when she thought of something.
Miao Yun quickly shook her head and started to look for She Yaa.
It wasn’t hard for her since the snake hole was She Ya’s den to begin with.
Even if the snake general wanted to recover, she would not have gone far.
It didn’t take long for Miao Yun to spot She Ya, who had reverted to her true form in the cave next to the frozen hole.
There was no way Miao Yun would mistake the huge snake body of She Ya.
Without any hesitation, the Foundation Plane Cultivator charged out of the wall and struck She Ya’s heart with the magic sword she had created, pooling her spiritual power into it.
“Arghhh!” She Ya gasped in pain.
The snake general could not react to the sudden attack and could not fight back as her heart was stabbed.
She started to wriggle on the floor in pain, and it took her a few seconds to recognize the aura that lingered in the air.
“You? This is impossible!” She Ya roared angrily, but she was not able to hide the surprise in her voice.
“Why not?” Miao Yun stood in front of the snake demon without any expression on her face.
“How did you break the king’s seal? How did you escape the vipers that were watching you?” She Ya questioned as her body continued to twist in pain.
“There’s no reason for me to tell you that.” While staring coldly at the snake demon, Miao Yun detonated the magic sword that was sticking out of She Ya’s body.
With a loud scream, the snake’s body was scattered all around the room.
Signs of satisfaction could be seen in Miao Yun’s eyes as she summoned her spiritual power to detonate the 72 magical items stuck in the node of the leyline back in the Blessed Land.
After that, she quickly disappeared from the snake hole.
The Yellow Sands King was still drunk when he felt the immense Essence Power wave.
He jumped up and kicked the stone table away.
“It’s She Ya! I can’t feel her presence anymore!” roared the Demon King, waking the rest of the generals.
“Did the Sage find us?”
“No, that’s impossible!” The Yellow Sands King was about to head to the snake den when fear appeared in his eyes.
He used his power and disappeared from the room.
When Miao Yun returned to where Chen Jingzhai was, he had already activated the formation.
However, before she could even smile, the Yellow Sands King appeared in the doorway.
“You whore! How did you do it?” the Demon King yelled as he reached his arm out toward Miao Yun.
The seemingly normal arm suddenly expanded. The veins and muscles grew until scales covered the whole arm.
As the Demon King launched an attack on Miao Yun, aiming his sharp nails at her throat, she stood in front of the formation without flinching.
With a resolute expression, she said, “It’s too late for you, Yellow Sands King. The Blessed Land has been destroyed. You are going down with me.”
A grin appeared on her face as she increased the circulation of her spiritual power and clasped her hands together to form a sign.
Chen Jingzhai’s, who had already put one of his feet into the wall, heart skipped a beat as he heard what Miao Yun had said.
Fortunately, before Miao Yun could finish her spell, a ray of sword light pierced through the desert and stabbed the Demon King’s arm.
“Demon, how dare you?” A cold roar came from above, which was followed by a dense pressure that was enough to make people gasp for air.
A second later, two people suddenly appeared in front of the formation.
They were none other than the Sages from the Soaring Clouds Clan and the Luo Sheng Sword School.
