Chapter 83: The Generous Master Uncle

Talk about what happened inside the secret zone died down a few days later.

However, people still kept bringing Chen Jingzhai up in their conversations.

They were all in the same boat as cultivators until they became celestial beings.

There were millions of paths to take, so it was rare to find someone walking the same path.

With their Master-Uncle’s name now spread throughout the entire clan, the disciples of Daoxuan Peak were delighted. A lot of them now wanted to visit him.

However, they were saddened to realize that the entrance to Tianyahai Pavilion was locked and soon learned that it was because their Master-Uncle had started his Seclusion Training.

The disciples weren’t surprised, as most of the people who had participated in the expedition were also in Seclusion Training.

A little more than ten days had passed since the end of the expedition, and good news soon filled the clan.

Sun Changrong and Zhou Yuanhao had managed to complete their foundation establishment.

They would remain at the peak for a little longer before leaving the mountain and heading to Pulao Kingdom.

As the Battle of Dragon was a rare occasion, they wouldn’t want to miss it.

They would be able to get some inspiration if they managed to learn new things from the battle.

Besides those two, Li Yifei had also entered the Advanced Foundation Plane.

Zhao Qinghe, Zhang Kui, and Jiang Youning had made significant improvements as well.

Chu Jingsong had also completed his Foundation Establishment Plane just before Chen Jingzhai came out of his Seclusion Training.

The future of the inner disciples of the 12 peaks looked very promising.

After coming out of his training that lasted for 33 days an hour ago, Chen Jingzhai sat in the garden of Tianyahai Pavilion while sipping on the spirit tea that his senior sister had gifted him.

“So, you are saying that Senior Sister Su is still in Seclusion Training trying to create techniques?”

“Yup!” Pearl sat across from him and looked at him with her black eyes. “Master didn’t want the Essence Power Pearl, and she even asked me to take the tea back.”

“Where are the pearls then?”

“All I can say is that they are tasty!” Pearl grinned. “Master said they are no use to the peak since there are no disciples there, but I couldn’t resist and ate them on my way here.”

“Well, whatever. They are not expensive anyway,” Chen Jingzhai said, taking out a lotus seed. “Are you sure that you don’t want this? This tastes better than the Essence Power Pearl.”

“My lord, do you think I don’t know that these lotus seeds are bitter?” Pearl rolled her eyes back. “I don’t eat any of the spirit foods, only the elixirs that cultivators make.”

“What a pity.” Chen Jingzhai sighed and put the seed back.

“Why?” Pearl frowned. “I have my master, a lazy donkey, and you, my lord, with me! I’m happy!”

Chen Jingzhai smiled and remained silent as he sipped his cup of tea.

Pearl looked at him and took a sniff of the tea aroma in the air.

When she first visited Chen Jingzhai, she sneaked a sip of the tea, and an intense frown immediately appeared on her forehead.

It was bitter, but the aroma was addictive. Even though she couldn’t bear to drink it, she still couldn’t help herself from gulping it down.

“Take good care of your master, okay?” Chen Jingzhai said. “I’ll make more elixirs for you. And, don’t let the plants in the herb garden die.”

“Okay!” Pearl sat up straight. “When are you coming back?”

“I’ll go back as soon as senior sister succeeds.” Chen Jingzhai pinched her cute cheek. “It could take a long time, or it could be tomorrow. I’ll never know.”

“Well, I’ll wait no matter how long it takes!” Pearl chuckled before frowning. “Looks like you have a guest, my lord. I’ll take my leave first. Don’t tell anyone I was here!”

Her body began disappearing as if she were made out of the fog.

Chen Jingzhai’s fingers that were pinching the girl’s cheek were now pinching nothing but air.

He pulled his hand back, wondering if Pearl was just pretending not to know that if Su Qinghuang were not successful in changing her technique, her life would end.

He shook his head to calm himself down and quickly tidied the place so it would look as if no one had visited him.

He then tidied himself up a little before heading toward the main hall.

“The Tianyahai Pavilion sure lives up to its name! The scenery here is amazing!” Chu Jingsong exclaimed in his usual loud voice. “I can’t help but feel jealous of Master-Uncle for being able to live here!”

Chen Jingzhai grinned and headed in. He noticed that a lot of people had gathered to visit him. There were five disciples from Daoxuan Peak alone, and the rest were the others who had helped with breaking the Restrictions at the immortal abode.

“Master-Uncle!” they greeted the moment they noticed Chen Jingzhai coming in.

“Come on in. I didn’t expect all of you to come.”

“Well, not all of us. Xiao Yan has been forced into Seclusion Training inside the Blazing Sun Cave by his master,” Zhou Yuanhao said and turned to introduce someone Chen Jingzhai had not yet met. “This is Xiao Yan’s junior brother.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Master-Uncle. My name is Xue Fan!” greeted a disciple who wore a red robe and was as charming as Zhao Qinghe.

“It’s nice to meet you too. You can drop the formalities when you are with me.”

Everyone nodded and followed Chen Jingzhai into the main hall.

Four beautiful maids immediately served their master and his guests tea.

Although it was the spirit tea that his senior sister had given him, there was more than enough for the disciples to have a couple of cups.

“This is our Daoxuan Peak’s spirit tea! Isn’t this a little too expensive?” Su Changrong couldn’t help but say as he looked at the cup of tea as if it was gold.

“Senior Sister Mei gave it to me. These are all that I have left. It’s better if we just finish them,” Chen Jingzhai said. “I apologize as the tea is the only thing I can offer you.”

The disciples couldn’t help but be moved by his words.

“Master-Uncle, you shouldn’t waste these rare teas on us,” Jiang Youning said expressionlessly.

“He’s right. I’m not used to drinking spirit tea anyway.” Chu Jingsong nodded.

“We should be bringing you gifts instead,” Zhou Yuanhao added.

“Come on.” Chen Jingzhai laughed. “It’ll be wrong for me to accept gifts from my disciple nephews. Also, aren’t you guys underestimating me too much? I’m an elixir alchemist, and I have way more money than you guys.”

“Master-Uncle is right.” Zhao Qinghe grinned. “We haven’t congratulated you for successfully creating Foundation Establishment Elixirs yet!”

“Qinghe’s right! We came here together to thank Master-Uncle for giving us the elixirs! Who would’ve thought that you would actually succeed in such a short time, and you even gave us two each!”

The first thing Chen Jingzhai did after he came out of his Seclusion Training was request the disciples of Deacon Hall to give two Foundation Establishment Elixirs to all the disciples who had given him ingredients for the elixirs.

They were pleasantly surprised—if they were to keep the ingredients, they would have to hand them to their peaks. Therefore, they would not be able to keep the ingredients and could only exchange them for spiritual stones.

There was no way the amount they could exchange for would be more valuable than a Foundation Establishment Elixir, as the elixir was extremely beneficial for them since they were all cultivators in the Foundation Establishment Plane.

Even if they weren’t going to use the elixir themselves, they could gift it to someone else or keep it until they had disciples of their own.

Most of the time, finding a Foundation Establishment Elixir was difficult. And when the supply could not meet the demand, the price of one was extremely high.

They could also keep it and use it in times of need.

The two Foundation Establishment Elixirs they had received each from their Master-Uncle were just too precious.

“What? How can you guys have so little confidence in me?” Chen Jingzhai burst into laughter. “I’m able to create 18 Foundation Establishment Elixirs out of one set of ingredients. One set is more than enough to give two to each of you, and I’m still able to keep two for myself. Think about what I can do with the rest of the seven sets!”

“Won’t you be filthy rich?” Li Yifei exclaimed. “Isn’t your production rate higher than a Grade 3 elixir alchemist? Master-Uncle, you sure are something else!”

The rest of the disciples agreed with Li Yifei’s statement. None of them could stop grinning.

They weren’t jealous of Chen Jingzhai either. On the contrary, they were all happy for him.

If it were in the past, their reaction would’ve been different.

However, now that they had gotten close to their Master-Uncle, everything had changed.

With how generous Chen Jingzhai was, they were sure that it wouldn’t be hard to request some elixirs from him in the future.

No one would be dumb enough to hate their Master-Uncle, a generous and talented elixir alchemist.
