Chapter 173: Heading to The Southern Part

Sage Zhang and Chu Jingsong finally made a full recovery after spending 12 days in Tidal Sound City.

They were able to recover in such a short amount of time, all because of the elixirs Chen Jingzhai had made.

The moment Chen Jingzhai returned from taking a stroll in the city, he went into Seclusion Training to make elixirs.

Other than the usual Grade 2 elixirs, he also started to venture into Grade 3 elixirs.

He was worried at first, but he quickly realized he was overthinking the moment he succeeded in making the Grade 3 Spirit Recovering Elixir.

Just as he had guessed, he could still see the flaws.

As long as the spiritual power in his body remained pure, strong, and abundant, he was able to create a huge amount of Grade 3 elixirs with the help of the White Crane Cloud Tree Cauldron.

And they were all of high quality at that.

Sage Zhang was able to expedite his recovery just after taking three Spirit Recovering Elixirs, to the point where his arm, which had been cut off, grew back.

If he had not taken the elixirs, it would at least take him a year to recover to such a state.

As Chen Jingzhai did not hide the news about him successfully making Grade 3 elixirs, Hua Anxiang became even friendlier with Chen Jingzhai.

He would visit the Master-Uncle of the Luo Sheng Sword School whenever he was free for a chat and buy some elixirs.

Chen Jingzhai wasn’t bothered with it, as his real goals in making elixirs were to make a profit and befriend other people.

The best part of being an elixir alchemist was that they could create elixirs that other people would die for but couldn’t get their hands on.

Spiritual stones and herbs would not be enough to purchase the elixirs. Connections were much more valuable than those.

For example, the Grade 3 healing elixir, the Spirit Recovering Elixir, was something that even Golden Core Sages could benefit from.

That was why Sage Yuan Lie had asked his disciple to help purchase two bottles from Chen Jingzhai.

Not only did he have to pay a lot for that, but he also had to promise that Chen Jingzhai could ask for assistance in the future if he needed it.

And cultivators could not go back on their promises or choose not to return a favor as these would affect their mental states.

In the end, the Sage even personally visited Chen Jingzhai to purchase elixirs for his clan.

Unfortunately, Chen Jingzhai wasn’t in the mood to make elixirs and decided to take Su Qinghuang for a stroll by the ocean.

The days he could spend with her were getting fewer as the days went by, and it would be impossible that he would not want to treasure their remaining time together.

With all the resources he had, he could make elixirs anytime he wanted.

As for the favor that Sage Yuan Lie owed him, all he would ask from them was for Hua Anxiang to take good care of Ling Wuque.

He didn’t want to cause more trouble than necessary. So, even if he were to make elixirs, he would only make them for his own clan.

That was why he chose a day when the sun was high up but warm to head out into the sea.

Instead of traveling on the water, the tower ship dived straight into the ocean.

Chen Jingzhai hugged his senior sister tightly as they enjoyed a romantic date.

As they were strong enough not to worry about attacks from Golden Core Sages, they could enjoy the trip without any worries.

The maids didn’t bother the two during the trip and silently focused on their jobs.

Chen Jingzhai and Su Qinghuang were inseparable.

However, they could not proceed to the next stage, but that was how they got to know each other’s bodies better.

A tight hug was enough to tie their hearts together.

Chen Jingzhai would’ve stayed like that with Su Qinghuang until they both died of old age, and Su Qinghuang would scold him for thinking like that as his senior sister.

His heart would melt whenever he saw her cute and angry expression.

Five months passed, and Chen Jingzhai finally returned to Crescent Moon Bay just as he had planned and regrouped with everyone in Tidal Sound City.

They even ran into cultivators from the Soaring Clouds Clan and other clans.

They had more people than last time. Including Miao Ke, there were three disciples from the Soaring Clouds Clan.

Two disciples from the Will Celestial Clan and two from the Serenity Hollow Clan were dispatched along with Golden Core Sages as guardians.

Chen Feiyu led a group of children from prestigious families there as well.

Seeing them reminded Chen Jingzhai of how much he had benefited from their apology presents.

The Silver Screen Spirit Cloud was now a specialty of the Primordial Essence World. He could have as many clouds as he wanted now.

He even created a silver-colored spirit cloud for Su Qinghuang with the Small Heavens Cloud Forbidden Restriction.

Not only was it suitable for transportation, but it could protect and bind people to the user’s will.

The Rotation Herb from the Serenity Hollow Clan was absorbed by the Innate Money Tree, and a small black and white coin remained hanging on one of the tree’s branches, although Chen Jingzhai had no idea how long it would take for the coin to grow.

As for the two Will Cold Steels from the Will Celestial Clan, Chen Jingzhai had used them to enhance the elixir cauldron and the tower ship.

He could not freely change the size of the ship because of the steel.

The Grade 3 calabash seed that he had gotten from Chen Feiyu was of high quality as well.

The unfortunate thing was that the seed had dried up, and he had to inject Innate Qi into the seed before putting it into the Seven Stars Moon Pool.

The Seven Stars Moon Pool became a lake when the Primordial Essence Grotto-heavens were enhanced to the Primordial Essence World after absorbing the spiritual leyline.

The Grade 4 Pure White Lotus was refined to Grade 5 by the lake, and the Advanced Grade 3 calabash seed had sprouted and produced three calabashes.

These were Spirit Storage Calabashes that had their own spaces inside and could store live objects like plants.

Chen Jingzhai harvested one and used the Small Heavens Cloud Forbidden Restriction to process a lot of Grade 3 ingredients into the calabash.

He also used a few of the highest-grade spiritual stones to set up the Yin and Yang Heaven and Earth Reversed Formation and the Essence-Gathering Formation inside the calabash to expand the space inside it.

He had also used the power of the Grotto-heavens to decorate the exterior with Grade 4 glacial black copper.

After he was done, the first Advanced-Grade 3 calabash with the design of a phoenix on the outside was given to Su Qinghuang.

She accepted the gift, and in return, she created a bracelet with her own green silk and other ingredients and personally put it on Chen Jingzhai’s wrist.

Despite it not being a magic item, it had become his most treasured possession.

The crowd of cultivators that had gathered had garnered a lot of attention.

Everyone knew that they had gathered because of the Eastern Ocean Remains and became excited.

Although people had heard about the abandoned residence of a former Spirit Plane cultivator, none of them knew where the exact location was except for the three clans.

After everything was arranged, the cultivators boarded the Soaring Clouds Ship, and the ship sailed toward the southern part of the ocean with Sage Yuan Lie guiding them.

During the trip, Sage Meng had a happy conversation with the Sages of other clans.

It seemed like they were close friends, but none of them mentioned how Chen Jingzhai managed to blackmail them before.

Chen Jingzhai held Su Qinghuang’s hand on the deck, ignoring the attention of other people.

That made the other cultivators who wanted to approach them think twice.

Su Qinghuang would only show her gentle side toward Chen Jingzhai.

Most of the time, she would have a cold expression, and the pressure from a Golden Core Sage was enough to scare anyone who had tried to befriend her.

The only two people standing next to the couple were Hua Anxiang and Jiang Lin.

“The exact location of the abandoned residence is in the southern part of the ocean. It’s not built on an island but deep inside the water,” Hua Anxiang whispered. “We would never have noticed it if not for the spiritual treasure-grade compass.”

“Speaking of compasses, I’ve heard that the Profound Finger Compass is made according to the compass of the Mingyuan Dao Sect?” Chen Jingzhai asked.

“Not exactly.” Hua Anxiang sounded awkward. “Most of the compasses are actually made by referencing the celestial item-grade compasses. It’s just that our compass has a certain unique function.”

“Then, how did other clans learn about the abandoned residence?” Jiang Lin curiously asked.

“That’s because the southern part is owned by the Great Three Overseas Celestial Clans,” Hua Anxiang explained. “It’s natural that the two other clans will be able to sense it as well.”

There was no way the Mingyuan Dao Sect would share the abandoned residence with the other two clans when they could reap everything for themselves.

No matter how friendly the three clans were, competition still existed between them,

Like the Mingyuan Dao Sect, which had close ties with the Luo Sheng Sword School, the other two clans had befriended other celestial clans as well.

The peace the three had was just a mirage.

“But, won’t the rogue cultivators follow us?” Chen Jingzhai asked. “Or is it that you guys aren’t planning on stopping them?’

“There’s no way we could even if we wanted to.” Hua Anxiang shook his head. “There are so many of them that we wouldn’t have enough manpower to stop all of them. That is why our clan has decided to set up an obstacle, and those who can pass it have the right to enter the abandoned residence.”

“Doesn’t that mean we will have to share the resources with them?” Jiang Lin frowned.

“If they have the life to do that, then, yeah.” Hua Anxiang grinned. “Since there are a lot of chances for one to grow in the residence, we would even have to be wary of disciples from the same clan. Having them join us would not matter much.”
