Chapter 172: Wuque’s Situation

“Wait?”

Chen Jingzhai’s mood went down the drain immediately.

If he were to wait, the only outcome would be either waiting for eternity or her death.

He could not accept any of the results, but he did not know what to do.

“Don’t frown. Dying and saying goodbye is something you see every day as a cultivator. You need to know that it’s already amazing that I would actually fall in love with someone.”

Su Qinghuang poked the young man’s frown, trying to ease it out.

That was something she had never felt before. She had never been loved, nor had she ever loved somebody.

Chen Jingzhai made her feel that for the first time.

Being able to at least experience that was fulfilling for her.

“Alright! I’ll do my best to create new techniques as soon as possible and advance to the next level! I’ll save you when that happens!” Chen Jingzhai sincerely promised.

He quickly understood that complaining would not help and that feeling sad would only result in depression. The best solution was to work hard.

The young man had the confidence to help Su Qinghuang achieve the Nascent Plane with the help of the Primordial Essence World and his special talent.

He was sure that no matter how unique the Hongluan Sky Scripture was, he would be able to compile all of it as long as he worked hard and had the chance, and he could tell that fate was always on his side.

The first thing that he thought of was the Innate Money Tree.

The fruit produced by the tree was special, and he was hopeful that there might be one that could help a cultivator to breakthrough.

The only thing he was lacking was the resources.

“Okay!” Su Qinghuang gently smiled. She pulled her veil to the side and kissed the young man next to her.

Chen Jingzhai immediately wrapped his arms around her waist as he didn’t want to let go of her sweet lips like a child.

After a while, Su Qinghuang pushed him back and headed into the room to continue with her Seclusion Training.

She didn’t really need to train, but she was scared that they would not be able to hold themselves back.

If she wanted to reach the Nascent Plane with the Hongluan Sky Scripture, she would have to stay a maiden.

They would have to wait at least until she had gathered her Nascent Soul before they could proceed.

After Su Qinghuang had left, Chen Jingzhai took a deep breath and sat there for a long time before leaving.

“Brother Chen,” Hua Anxiang, a direct disciple of Sage Yuan Lie, greeted.

The Mingyuan Dao Sect wasn’t as strict as the Luo Sheng Sword School. Instead, they were quite open-minded.

This was why, even when Chen Jingzhai was a Master-Uncle, Hua Anxiang still considered him the same generation as he had yet to gather his Golden Core.

Chen Jingzhai didn’t mind it, as that wasn’t something important when he was away from Luanyun Mountain Range.

“Brother Hua. Did you find out where my friend is?” Chen Jingzhai anxiously asked.

“That’s right.” Hua Anxiang smiled. “Your friend, Ling Wuque, is now a direct disciple of one of our Master-Uncles. He’s now in Seclusion Training trying to break into the Foundation Establishment Plane.”

“Oh?” Chen Jingzhai exclaimed in his head. “It looks like he’s getting quite good treatment here.”

Ling Wuque wasn’t as lucky as Chen Jingzhai was, and he had the three-element spirit root. However, it had only taken him around three years to complete his meditation, and he was ready to establish his foundation. It was clear that he had a lot of resources and guidance.

“That’s a given,” Hua Anxiang replied. “He’s the fastest among the aspirant cultivators from the mainland to adapt. Although he only has the three-element spirit root, he’s very compatible with our methods.”

“That’s great!” Chen Jingzhai nodded. “We’ve known each other for more than ten years and are very close friends. I hope that you take good care of him. Here, take these elixirs.”

Chen Jingzhai then took out three bottles of high-quality elixirs.

Although they were only Grade 2 elixirs, they were what Hua Anxiang needed at the moment, and they were expensive.

“Thank you so much. And don’t worry about Ling Wuque.” Hua Anxiang took the elixirs while grinning. “I’ve already heard that your elixirs are amazing. To tell you the truth, in our Mingyuan Dao Sect, the disciples will be favored by the Sages as long as they are diligent. And they are very safe here, so you don’t have to worry too much.”

“I’m just worried that he might get used because of his innocence.” Chen Jingzhai shook his head. “But, I’ll feel relieved to know that you’ll take care of him. If it’s not too much trouble, could you show me around the island?”

“Of course. I have some free time anyway.”

“Let’s go then.” Chen Jingzhai smiled and followed Hua Anxiang out.

Because of the friendship that Sage Meng and Sage Yuan Lie had and the close ties the two clans had, Chen Jingzhai was able to befriend Hua Anxiang quickly.

The other reason that Chen Jingzhai wanted to become friends with Hua Anxiang was to learn about Ling Wuque’s situation. He was relieved to hear that not only was his old friend living comfortably, but he was also being guided by a Golden Core Sage.

Tidal Sound City was one of the most famous big cities that the Mingyuan Dao Sect had settled on Crescent Moon Bay.

There were a lot of treasure pagodas in the city that sold information and collected resources.

The only difference was that a few mortals could be seen living in the city.

They used to be fishermen but were now raising Grade 1 sea beasts for the Mingyuan Dao Sect or collecting spirit shellfish and pearls.

It was a huge business that needed a lot of manpower, and these were jobs that cultivators would not take.

Although these people were mortals, they were able to induce Qi into their bodies once they had reached a certain age.

Many of them were around Level 1 to Level 3 of the Meditation Plane.

Most of the streets in the city were busy and crowded.

Hua Anxiang introduced the city to Chen Jingzhai, and he could see many unique scenes. He also bought a few spirit plants and herbs unique to the island.

He also purchased a couple of Grade 1 sea beasts that the Primordial Essence World did not have. Hua Anxiang was surprised when he saw how much Chen Jingzhai had spent.

“Are all disciples of the Luo Sheng Sword School as rich as you?” Hua Anxiang asked.

“I’m not sure about the others, but I’m very good at making elixirs,” Chen Jingzhai replied. “I’ve made quite a lot of high-quality Foundation Establishment Elixirs and have saved up quite a lot of spiritual stones and pearls.”

“Did you just say Foundation Establishment Elixir?” Hua Anxiang exclaimed. “Doesn’t that take a Grade 3 elixir alchemist to make?”

Like the Luo Sheng Sword School, the Great Three Overseas Celestial Clans were also low in ingredients to make Foundation Establishment Elixirs.

That was why they also needed to seek out elixir alchemists who had gathered their Golden Cores to make the elixirs, as they were worried that they might waste their precious ingredients.

“Unfortunately, I don’t have enough ingredients. If not, I would’ve been able to gather all the resources needed to gather my Golden Core.” Chen Jingzhai sighed. “I hope to find some in the Eastern Ocean Remains this time.”

“That might be hard,” Hua Anxiang replied. “Maybe you might not know this, but the abandoned residence of the Spirit Plane cultivator is a heritage abandoned residence. The most precious thing in it is the method.”

“But we already have enough methods…”

“Then, again, there’s no such thing as having too many magic treasures, right? The previous owner goes by the last name Ning. Although he has already spiritualized, he used to be a famous item alchemist around this area.”

“Is that so?” Chen Jingzhai raised an eyebrow. “Looks like you guys know a lot about him.”

“Not only us. Information about him leaked a long time ago. That’s why many people are trying to get into the residence,” Hua Anxiang explained as they returned to the manor. “Also, his disciples are joining the expedition as well.”

“His disciples? Don’t tell me that they are now the owners of the residence?”

“Not at all. We can’t really call them his disciples as they taught themselves to cultivate Ning’s heritage.”

The residence of a Spirit Plane cultivator was valuable.

It was natural that a few greedy cultivators would set their eyes on it.

Unfortunately for them, the Great Three Overseas Celestial Clans had spotted the residence first, and they even invited other clans to join them on the expedition.

That made it hard for the rogue cultivators to explore the residence.
