Chapter 70: Hostile Visitors
Everyone agreed to Sun Changrong’s suggestion.
It would take some time for Chen Jingzhai to lift the Restrictions, so the group left him here to do his work while the rest flew out together.
Li Yifei was leading from the front, with the rest of them behind.
As soon as they entered the passageway, Li Yifei’s expression immediately changed.
The ease and composure he had before turned into something extremely displeasing. “They sent away two junior brothers.”
“They have bad intentions!” Sun Changrong’s expression turned cold. “This matter cannot be left unaddressed.”
“Let’s go take a look first!” Chu Jingsong said.
“Let’s go!” Jiang Youning had sword light flashing all over his body as he rushed out in a hurry.
The formation at the entrance had vanished.
There were signs of battle everywhere.
When Sun Changrong and the others arrived, several figures were in front of them, entering the passageway.
“I wondered who would be so bold as to touch the disciples from Daoxuan Peak.”
“It turned out to be Xiao Yan from Blazing Sun Peak!”
“And Zhou Yuanhao from Divine Tower Peak.”
“As well as Lin Feiyang from Divine Flame Peak!”
Li Yifei’s expression was cold, and he did not bother to disguise the iciness in his eyes.
“Junior Brother Li, don’t forget all the brothers in front of you are your seniors.”
“Even if you don’t bother to announce your arrival, there is no need to be so rude, is there?”
“The two junior brothers from Daoxuan Peak wouldn’t let us in.”
“Our hands were forced!”
“It’s not as if they died or anything.”
“Why do you make such a big deal out of it?” Lin Feiyang of the Divine Flame lineage said while smiling brightly.
His single-lidded eyes appeared to be squinting, and coupled with his slight stature; he looked quite harmless.
He spoke with such a cheerful demeanor that it unsettled everyone around him.
“Divine Flame Peak is fond of confounding with false logic.
“We of Daoxuan Peak were the first to discover the remnants of the cave residence. We only summoned all the brothers here out of the kindness of our hearts.
“And we didn’t think it would backfire on us like this.”
“Senior Brother Zhou Yuanhao of the Divine Tower, what do you have to say for yourself?” Sun Changrong asked coolly.
Zhou Yuanhao was tall and strong, with a physique similar to that of Chu Jingsong.
The difference was that Zhou Yuanhao had a beard and looked a little older.
Indeed, out of all the inner disciples from all 15 main branches, he was the oldest and ranked eighth in the battle forum.
“Junior Brother Sun, don’t worry so much about these petty things.
“We heard there is a real immortal cave residence inside. Is it true?” Zhou Yuanhao looked at Sun Changrong indifferently and asked instead.
“What if there is? Can you lift the Restriction?” Li Yifei responded sarcastically.
“It’s something we have to experience eventually,” Zhou Yuanhao said evenly. “In the secret zone, fighting with each other is commonplace and has nothing to do with strength. If you want to stop me, feel free to come over.”
“Wow, you are really full of sh*t!” Chu Jingsong burst out laughing. “You haven’t reached the completion stage yet, have you?”
“What do you want to say?” Zhou Yuanhao looked at him with some hostility.
“Let’s fight to settle it!” Chu Jingsong said calmly. “If you win, you will be able to see the Immortal Abode. If you lose, you will either get out or walk away.”
“Why bother?” Lin Feiyang said. “You can’t stop us!”
“Are you so sure?” Li Yifei scoffed. “You should know that I can jinx you!”
“We have Senior Brother Xiao!” Lin Feiyang smiled.
Li Yifei’s astral vision was, indeed, a troublesome detail for Lin Feiyang.
They had once sparred on the battle forum, and Lin Feiyang was not his equal.
Xiao Yan, from the Blazing Sun lineage, had never once spoken a word.
However, as soon as Lin Feiyang mentioned his name, Xiao Yan unleashed a punch as if on cue.
A fist of flames came at them. Its super high temperature instantly roasted the rock walls on either side of the channel.
The flames exploded in mid-air and filled up all the gaps in the passageway.
The orange flames reflected in everyone’s eyes. Their hair was baked even before any of them had a chance to get close to it.
Just as the flames were about to sweep over them, Jiang Youning appeared in a flash and got in front of everyone.
An icy blue water sword formed out of thin air, and its powerful frosty air appeared as white frost on the rock wall.
The water sword flew out, directly penetrating the flames.
Jiang Youning’s eyes remained indifferent as his left hand gently reached for the icy blue water sword.
Suddenly, the water sword burst open, and the iciness swept through the entire passageway, extinguishing the flames.
“Jiang Youning from Lijian Peak, are you on their side too?”
“Lijian’s lineage is that sword is not sword, and method is not method; it was neither fish nor fowl.”
Lin Feiyang frowned slightly and jeered.
“Hmm, do you have the balls to say this while inside the clan?” Jiang Youning looked at him and asked without much emotion.
Lin Feiyang was caught off guard and showed an embarrassing expression.
In the heat of the moment, what he said was too inappropriate.
Disciples could be targeted, but if they slander the branch, they will be disciplined.
Even if other peaks were well aware of the tendencies of Divine Flame Peak, when it involved attacking other peaks and lineages, even Divine Flame Peak would not be able to protect its own.
Even Headmaster Fuyunzi would not be able to protect them.
“It’s too small here. Let’s get out!” Zhou Yuanhao proposed.
“Then go!” Chu Jingsong said, full of fighting intent.
“What’s the hurry?” Lin Feiyang said with a smile. “Is Chen Jingzhai inside?”
“He’s the Little Master-Uncle of Daoxuan Peak, but more than that, he is the Little Master-Uncle of the clan.” Sun Changrong looked at him. “Even if you don’t respect him, you can’t call him by his name.”
“He won’t mind,” Lin Feiyang said mindlessly, blowing him off.
“Are you talking about me?” Chen Jingzhai suddenly appeared behind Lin Feiyang, the bone sword resting on his shoulder. The coldness of it made the hair on Lin Feiyang’s neck stand up instantly.
“You…” Lin Feiyang widened his eyes.
“You are Lin Feiyang of Divine Flame Peak, right?” Chen Jingzhai said flatly, tilting his head. “I heard you have been conspiring with other inner disciples to goad them into challenging me! Why are you so hostile toward me? Are you unhappy about this Little Master-Uncle who came out of nowhere?”
“Earth escape spell, is it?” Lin Feiyang relaxed. “You are but an aspirant cultivator who has just been accepted by the clan, and now you think you can lord it above us? What qualifications do you have?”
“So, you are admitting what you did?” Chen Jingzhai asked.
“What did I admit?” Lin Feiyang sneered menacingly. “Did I say anything?”
“Very well!” Chen Jingzhai looked at the other two. “How about you?”
Xiao Yan and Zhou Yuanhao looked at Chen Jingzhai without saying a word.
“Still! Carry!” Lin Feiyang suddenly called out these two commands in a low growl.
A mighty force between heaven and earth suddenly descended and fell on Chen Jingzhai’s body from nowhere.
Chen Jingzhai felt his whole body sink as if he were carrying a mountain on his back.
He couldn’t move his entire body, not even his hands.
“Master-Uncle!” Sun Changrong cried out worriedly.
“Hahaha!” Lin Feiyang laughed wildly at the moment. “Just this little trick and you think you could be our Master-Uncle? You are no more than a deceitful and faithless man, someone who polluted the lineage. I spit on you!”
“Is this how you really feel?” Chen Jingzhai queried with a calm demeanor.
“That’s right, that’s how I really feel,” Lin Feiyang spat out each word. “I’ll send you out today so that you will never be able to hold your head up in front of us!”
As soon as he finished speaking, he turned and reached out with his hand, trying to grab the transportation slip that was fastened around Chen Jingzhai’s waist.
“Form!”
Chen Jingzhai looked at him and spoke calmly.
The leftover water on the ground rose directly into the air and turned into five water snakes.
The water snakes were small and slender but highly agile. They headed in five directions and dashed.
Before Lin Feiyang’s finger could touch the transportation slip, five water snakes had already crawled upon him.
In a blink of an eye, Lin Feiyang’s four limbs were bound tightly as the five water snakes merged with one another.
It turned into a water-colored python, which was constantly constricting and squeezing,
Lin Feiyang was tightly bound at that moment.
“How is this possible?” Lin Feiyang shouted. “How can you shut off my spiritual power?”
“It’s nothing more than the Water Forbidden Technique derived from the Mountain River Cloud Restriction!”
Chen Jingzhai twisted his body, put away the bone sword, and removed the nine-section bamboo staff from the storage bag.
“What do you want to do?” Lin Feiyang shouted as his eyes widened in fear.
“Of course, it’s time to discipline you, a disrespectful and unruly disciple,” Chen Jingzhai waved his hand after he finished speaking.
“You… WAA!” Lin Feiyang began to bawl.
