He didn’t actually leave.

He came back.

Tang Mo’er stretched out her fair hands to wipe away the tears on her face, but it had an opposite effect instead, with more tears tumbling down her pale cheeks. She knew that she looked even more pathetic, so she gave up struggling. Lowering her head, she burst into tears. “Why did you come back, didn’t you just say that you’d be a cheap man if you came back to me?”

Gu Mohan looked at her tiny head, he could see her tiny face that was filled with streams of endless tears, like rose petals with speckles of water. She was enchanting.

He cleared his dry throat, speaking in a deep voice, “I just wanted to witness it for myself, whether a self-proclaimed and superficial gold digger like you would shed even a single tear. If you did, I wouldn’t mind being a cheap man for once.”

When a man was fighting with a woman, he could put down his pride and lower his head to apologize.

Three years ago, when this woman collided with him, throwing his world into disarray, she had entered his heart unknowingly. He found that he didn’t want to give her up that easily.

He wanted to give himself another chance.

Tang Mo’er’s shoulders were trembling even more, Gu Mohan, she couldn’t bear to leave her in that state.

“This is for you.”

Tang Mo’er lifted her eyes, she saw a beautiful rose before her.

He gifted her with a rose.

“I saw someone selling them along the streets while I was driving and so I bought one. I remember your happy reaction when I last gave you a rose.”

Tang Mo’er slowly stretched out her tiny hand, accepting the beautiful rose.

If gave off a faint fragrance, and the scent drifted into her nose.

Blinking her eyes, the tears on her eyes dropped as her lashed moved. She couldn’t deny the fluttering in her heart.

Gu Mohan knelt on one knee and held onto her ankle with his strong hands. He easily lifted her ankle and the high heel was shifted out of the manhole cover.

After removing the crystal chain of the high heels wound around her ankle, Gu Mohan placed her tiny feet into his palm and lightly massaged her ankle.

“Does it still hurt?” He asked in a low voice.

Tang Mo’er looked at him with her eyes still watery, his rough fingertips were massaging her ankle and it was a comfortable feeling, causing her toes to curl up and a warmth to burrow through her body.

She looked at him, his fringe had covered his facial features and his face was still as gentle as ever.

“It no longer hurts,” she replied softly.

Gu Mohan stood up and carried her with his muscular arms. “Come up, I’ll piggyback you.”

His back was wide and with the defined muscles on his back, it was simply irresistible.

A man piggybacking a woman would move even the hardest of hearts and reveal the utmost love from deep inside.

“No need, I can walk by myselfーah!”

Gu Mohan directly picked her up and hoisted her onto his back.

He supported her hips and allowed her to rest on his shoulders comfortably. Her two crystal high heels were still in his hands, “Mo’er, I’ll piggyback you around Karghalik. Will you forgive me?”

Tang Mo’er’s tears started to fall uncontrollably again and she buried her tiny face in the groove of his neck.

“Mo’er, let’s stop wasting time and just make up, okay? I feel like I’m going to be driven crazy by you. I don’t ever want to let go of your hand.”

“Gu Mohan,” Tang Mo’er burst into sobs, “Actually, I don’t want to die, but I don’t want to see you get married to Lu Qi’er. What should I do? My heart hurts so much. It hurts to the point where I feel like I’m going to die soon. What can I do?”
