Chapter 1387: Qingqing, Come Back With Me
Jun Xiqing’s footsteps slowed as her eyelashes quivered as her eyes slowly reddened.
Everything behind her was what she once cherished the most.
At this moment, two bright car lights shone on her and a limousine pulled up slowly in front of her. The car window slid down, revealing a beautiful face.
It was Lu Yeming.
But he didn’t get out of the car and remained seated elegantly inside. The top two buttons on his custom-made black shirt were undone, revealing his exquisite collarbones. He looked sideways, his almond-shaped eyes slowly landing on her. It was only then that his thin lips curved into a smile.
“Come here.”
Come here.
He wanted her to come over.
To his side.
Jun Xiqing walked over to him.
Fan Men opened the back door of the car respectfully and Jun Xiqing got on.
Jun Xiyan caught Lu Yeming’s gaze as the limousine sped away.
He glanced casually at her as he leaned elegantly against the seat, his beautiful face going in and out of the darkness. His sharp gaze was like an eagle in the night sky, filled with murderous intent towards her.
It was frightening.
Swallowing down a hitched breath, Jun Xiyan shuddered and she suddenly realized that this man had not made a single move.
Perhaps he just wanted to see what Jun Xiqing would do.
He had come to take Jun Xiqing away. With his strong shoulders and inescapable aura of an Emperor, he was taking her in and protecting her.
Jun Chulin and Jun Xiling had felt his foreboding gaze as well. When they took a second look at him, the car had already sped away.
All three of them had a bad feeling in their gut.
…
In the limousine.
Lu Yeming looked at Jun Xiqing beside him. She had already put the veil on, obscuring her face.
He reached out, moving closer to her.
But she quickly avoided him, her bright eyes looking at him warily.
That gaze, with her watery eyes, was just like a frightened little deer, which he found especially endearing.
Light hands pressed over her veil as she stopped him.
Lu Yeming’s thin lips slowly curved upwards into a faint smile and his large palms circled her shoulder, letting her rest her head on his strong shoulders. “My shoulder will be yours to lean on from now on.”
He wasn’t trying to take her veil off.
Jun Xiqing’s heart skipped a beat as she let herself remain on his shoulders. She suddenly felt her anxious heart finally calming down.
His calm and solemn demeanor made her feel safe.
Lowering his eyes, Lu Yeming pressed his thin lips against her forehead, kissing her softly. “You can cry if you want to.”
Jun Xiqing thought to herself – I’m definitely not going to cry…
“Everything Jun Xiyan told you was true, except for one thing – your uncle Jun Mosheng didn’t know.”
He said all of this slowly.
Jun Xiqing froze.
Lu Yeming hugged her cold body and continued. “Your uncle Jun Mosheng didn’t know all of this. He’s been kind throughout his short life and always saw you as a child of the Jun family. He loved you.”
Taking in a silent breath, Jun Xiqing quickly shut her eyes. She knew it.
She knew it.
Her uncle loved her.
She hadn’t been abandoned by everyone.
She still had her uncle’s love.
Jun Xiqing reached out with her pale hands to touch his strong thighs and pinched him hard.
With a slight grimace, Lu Yeming said, somewhat affectionately, “What did you pinch me for?”
Jun Xiqing lifted her eyes to look at him, her bright eyes swimming with tears. It’s all your fault for making me cry.
Lu Yeming froze, momentarily captured by her eyes. They were simply breathtaking. Her tears made her eyes seem extraordinarily bright and they were curved as she smiled, making her gaze look warm and beautiful.
The only other person he had in his life before her was Mo’er.
He had accompanied Mo’er for 20 years, their companionship calm and peaceful. Before meeting her, he had never imagined that there would be a woman who could awe him and make his heart ache so much.
That’s right, his heart was aching.
Seeing the gleam of tears in her eyes, he felt as though a hand was crushing his heart, making it so painful he could hardly breathe.
People like him yearned for warmth and beauty.
In front, Fan Men peeked at them secretly through the rearview mirror. He saw Lu Yeming lower his face until it was beside Jun Xiqing’s before he reached out to wipe her dripping nose. “Your nose is dripping.”
Jun Xiqing hadn’t felt like crying at all but her floodgates burst the moment she heard that. Fat tears flowed down her face.
An upset person should never be comforted. Once they were, the wound in their heart would only grow wider until it finally became guilt.
It was as if a wave of sadness finally hit her as tears soaked her long lashes. She lowered her eyes and sobbed silently.
She no longer had a home.
She no longer had a place to return to.
Where was she going to go in the future?
She had suddenly become an orphan.
Lu Yeming looked at her trembling shoulders. He could imagine her lips behind the veil, red from her crying. Her distress sent his heart into a frenzy.
He lowered his eyes and kissed her lips.
Jun Xiqing looked at him blurrily through her tears. She exuded a little girl’s vulnerability, like a child who couldn’t find her home.
She completely forgot to resist as she looked at him pitifully.
Threading his long fingers through her hair, he peeled the veil away slightly, then continued kissing her lips as his tongue slowly invaded her mouth. He kissed her deeply, his tongue hooking over hers. He wanted nothing more than to devour her.
Jun Xiqing forgot her tears as she stared at him dumbly.
Finally releasing her lips, Lu Yeming rested his forehead against hers, rubbing her forehead intimately. He spoke to her in a low and husky voice. “Qingqing, come back with me.
“You have nothing to worry about. Sikong is on his way and he’ll be able to fix your voice and your face. In the future, I’ll give myself to you and you’ll give yourself to me. We’ll be together.”
Hearing him speak to her in such a low and magnetic voice, Jun Xiqing admitted that her heart was being swayed.
But was that possible?
She reached out to touch her face. No one knew it better than herself that her face was ruined.
It could never be fixed.
It was useless even if Sikong came.
At this moment, the limousine pulled over. They were at Ah Jiao’s Room.
A melodious voice floated over. “Younger Sister Qingqing, you can come now. I already said that you would come, six years ago. Lady Mei has been waiting a long time for you.”
Jun Xiqing got out of the car and saw Lady Mei, whom she had met in the Capital six years ago.
Lady Mei grabbed her soft hands excitedly and said, You’ve grown prettier in the six years we haven’t seen each other. Just leave it to me. I’ll make sure you dazzle all the men in your auction in two days.”
