Chapter 367 What A Shock! Su Yang Actually Did Such A Thing To No. 17…

He used both (Guardian Talisman) that he had just bought on Little Hus. When both charms had been pasted on Little Hus’s body, a red light first appeared and quickly turned orange… ‘The light seemed normal when it appeared on Sanque and Little Deeny. But now, Little Hus looks like a pumpkin on Halloween…’

The commotion that was happening to Little Hus attracted the attention of No. 17 who was supervising on the other side of the river. It stretched out its slender arms and got up from the ground. It stared at Little Hus curiously with its only eye.

Su Yang glanced at it and ignored it.

Then, Su Yang turned on the system. As the system turned on, a translucent [+] appeared above Little Hus’s head. Su Yang clicked on the [+] on top of Little Hus’s head.

A notification instantly popped up in front of him:

[Are you sure you want to add a 3rd point? The failure rate of adding a 3rd point will be greatly increased. If you fail, the item will be completely damaged.] With the experience from the previous two times, Su Yang pondered for a while and clicked (Yes)!

As soon as Su Yang clicked [Yes], he retreated without hesitation.

He had actually put in everything he had as he frantically ran away! Just before he ran for more than two steps, an explosion came from behind him. The shockwave from the explosion was huge! Su Yang might have ran a little faster this time, so the shockwave had actually made him gain another two steps forward. Aside from that, there was no other reaction.

‘This time’s much better than the past two times when I had been blasted far away due to the shockwave.’

After escaping the shockwave, Su Yang stopped and turned around. He saw a bright orange brilliance glowing around Little Hus’s body as it rose into the air and hovered.

The orange light circled around it as if it had a life of its own. The light wrapped itself around Little Hus, forming a cocoon. A countdown appeared on the cocoon at the same time. “59:59…”

‘It’s still 1 hour as usual. ‘It’s already 11:10pm, I still have some matters to attend to…’

Actually, while he was planning on adding some extra points on Little Hus, he had already come up with a plan about how he would deal with Luo Yi.

Although he was not a bloodthirsty person, he began to ignore the world’s laws and was belittling human lives. Perhaps, it’s because of the increasing amount of blood he had on his hands.

However, at the same time, he also understood that having such incredible powers also meant that he needed to have even more discipline and self-control.

‘If I were to kill off anyone who offended me in the future, what difference would I have compared to a murderer?

‘It’s decided, I will not kill anyone who provokes me. Instead, I’ll refer to the quote, “a tooth for a tooth”. Do unto others as they did unto me.

‘For someone like Luo Yi who tried to poison me to death, I’ll… poison him in return.

“Of course, his friend will receive the same fate as him…

‘Although I do not intend to become a murderer, wouldn’t it be too cowardly if I did not retaliate when someone wanted me dead?’

With that thought in mind, Su Yang called out to No. 18 who was building a straw hut on the other side of the river. He asked her to bring him the (Salted Fish Mask) and the (Small Bench That Refuses To Eat Melons).

No. 18 was the little sister amongst the little monster beans and was much kinder than her brother. After hearing Su Yang’s commands, she obediently ran to the study room on the second floor of the villa and returned with the items.

After receiving the items, Su Yang caressed No. 18’s head. Then, he picked her up and placed her in the river…

The water was so cold, it made her flare up. She was so angry that she shouted at Su Yang whilst in the river. Then, she cried as she ran back to the straw hut.

Su Yang, who had just finished his prank, smiled smugly. He felt that. ‘It’ quite a joy to bully the little monsters once in a while when I’m in the prankster mood.

‘Of course, I know how far I can go with my pranks when I bully them now.’

In the past, Su Yang would actually joke around or purposely torment the little monster beans, but unlike before, he now knew his limits. He would only joke or prank them after he was certain that he would not bring any harm to the little monster beans.

‘No.18 was already wet long before she handed him his items since she was already at the river and water kept dripping down her body. So throwing her into the river again would not make any difference.’

Su Yang smiled smugly as he watched No. 18 grumpily running over to her brother, No. 17 and complained to him. However, Su Yang was not bothered and gloated instead. ‘Come get me if you can No. 17!’ After he was done gloating, Su Yang placed the (Salted Fish Mask] on the ground while he sat on the (Small Bench That Refuses To Eat Melons). Then, he used his silver ability, (Hands Of Fate)…

At the same time, Luo Yi was drinking and chatting with his friends at home.

Thanks to Luo Yi’s ordeal in the police station today, his friend did not leave his house and said that he would accompany Luo Yi to help ease his panic and have a good chat together. The two of them ordered takeaway, a set of barbecued skewers and a box of beer. They drank and ate skewers at home.

Eating skewers and drinking was the most enjoyable thing to do during a hot summer. Even if one could not enjoy the bustle of food stalls on the streets, it was also ideal to stay at home and enjoy the cold air from the air-conditioner. When the two of them got drunk, they started chatting more unknowingly.

Luo Yi said drunkenly, “Hear me out. Our boss is a complete idiot! It doesn’t matter if it’s the old boss or the new boss, they are all idiots!”

“I would never have come if it wasn’t for Chu Hong!”

Luo Yi’s friend had drunk too much. He stuck out his tongue and asked, “Is C-Chu Hong that great?”

Luo Yi nodded and gestured non-stop with his hands. “Of course. She used to be Jing Hua’s subordinate as an assistant manager back then. How awesome is that?”

Luo Yi’s friend obviously didn’t know much about the entertainment industry. He asked confusedly, “Who’s Jing Hua?” Luo Yi smiled smugly, his breath reeking of alcohol. “You might not know this since you’re not in the industry, but she is known as the fairy godmother of the entertainment industry. She has a handful of top ranking celebrities under her name, famous celebrities who owe everything they have to her are everywhere.

“Like Li Bing, Fan Bing, Tong Xiaowei, Ren Quan, Guan Lin, Jia Ling, Chen Daoming, Hu Jun, Bai He, half of the top ranking celebrities within the entertainment industry were successful because of her!

“Furthermore, she is also the only financier within the entertainment industry who has a strong influence on the situation of the entire industry. Previously, when she wanted to become independent and do things on her own, she directly led more than 10 top ranking celebrities to leave with her. She has practically changed the flow of the entire entertainment industry!

“Not only is she good at managing celebrities, she’s also equally as good at mentoring managers! Do you know who Tian Zhen is? She’s the manager that’s been going around on the news recently.”

Luo Yi’s friend nodded drunkenly. “I know, I know. It’s the company that has Zhu Yawen, Yu Qi, Ouyang Na, Ma Xiaoli and Chen Shou under their employment.”

Luo Yi nodded. “Exactly right! She and Chu Hong graduated from the same mentor, Jing Hua.”

Luo Yi’s friend was shocked. His eyes opened wide and said, “That awesome?”

The alcohol obviously made Luo Yi a little excited. He waved his hand proudly and said, “Of course! If we take a look at my colleagues who have been brought to fame single-handedly by their managers, for example Sun Li, Wang Luodan and Liu Ye. All of their managers have most likely been mentored by Jing Hua as well.”

Luo Yi shot a drunken look at his friend. “Do you now understand why I’m willing to join this company despite its small size?”

Even though Luo Yi’s friend was feeling dizzy, he was able to maintain his rationality. “But even if they’re awesome, it doesn’t mean that Chu Hong is the same as well, does it?”

Luo Yi waved his hand. “You don’t understand. I can never mingle around with those big shots myself, hence I need to find someone who can instead, someone with a very high potential. Plus, Chu Hong has proven her ability by bringing up Han Yi close to the top ranking despite having little to no resources. She even managed to get Lin Jiali to become a second-rate level as well, thus proving her capability.”

As he said that, he smiled mysteriously. “Also, get this, Chu Hong has actually promised me that she would make me a top ranking celebrity. That’s why I’m here.”

He took a sip of wine and said drunkenly, “She used her resources to recommend me to the producer of Speedrunners, giving me a shot at becoming famous. Otherwise, how could a second rate celebrity like me ever hope to come in contact with a producer of that level and even receive their promise of giving me a shot?”

Speaking of Speedrunners, Luo Yi’s eyes were red and tears were welling up in his eyes, perhaps due to the alcohol. He choked on his sobs and said, “If we hadn’t changed bosses! If it wasn’t because he was hellbent on getting me banned, I would have already signed the contract to participate in “Speedrunners “and become a top ranking celebrity.”

“That’s right! It’s because of him! Otherwise, I would have been famous a long ago!” At the end of his sentence, Luo Yi slammed the table and sobbed.

Such were humans. Instead of reflecting on what they had done, they would only think of what others had done. Someone else was always to be blamed for their downfalls instead of themselves.

Luo Yi was no different. Instead of reflecting on his own actions, about how he and Chu Hong had wanted to abandon their existing company for a better offer, about how he had malicious intent on Lin Jiali, about how rude and arrogant he was. All Luo Yi could think about was how Su Yang wanted to ban him… Of course, his friend had supported him and said drunkenly, “You know what, you’re just too cowardly. I’ve told you long ago that you’ll be free of him once you’ve gotten rid of him.”

As he said that, his friend dug under the table and took out a small bag. He threw the bag on the table and said, “I’ve already given you ricin, all you have to do is let him take a little bit of it and he’d be on his way to death’s door already. How could you possibly chicken out from that?”

Luo Yi drunkenly slammed the table. “How am I a coward! I’ve already tried to poison him! But he just won’t f*cking eat it!” His friend hiccuped. “If he doesn’t want to eat it, you should’ve forced him to instead. Now, not only have you not been able to harm him, you’ve even landed yourself in a bad position.”

Luo Yi was getting more and more frustrated by his friend’s nags. “What would you have me do now! I can’t even get out now, let alone take revenge against him!”

His friend, fully intoxicated by alcohol, shook his head and said, “How should I know? I’m just a drug dealer, not an assassin.”

‘Assassin?’ Luo Yi’s eyes lit up at the mention of that word. His face flushed red and was filled with excitement.

His friend sensed Luo Yi’s abnormal reaction and shivered. He then shook Luo Yi and said, “What are you even thinking! Don’t you go around and do anything stupid.”

Luo Yi slapped his friend’s hand away and said to him, “What else am I supposed to do now? I’m already locked up at home! Even if I’m exempt from prosecution, my life is finished!”

His friend advised, “Even if you kill him, it won’t change anything, you’d still be in the same spot!”

Luo Yi’s bloodshot eyes shone with a terrifying light. “But… at least I’d feel better.”
