Chapter 564: Meeting The Fengs Alone

‘What’s there that I dare not do?

‘Even though I have yet to become Superman, normal people won’t be able to hurt me. After all, not only do I have four Silver Abilities, I also have many special items and little monsters.’

Therefore, Su Yang agreed without any hesitation. “Sure. We’ll meet at your villa at 2:30 pm tomorrow. We’ll make it fair, you tell me the location and I’ll set the time. I’ll give you time to prepare yourselves.”

Su Yang’s courage made Feng Yonghui burst into laughter. “Sure, no problem. I’ll send the address to your cell phone.”

Thus, their meeting was fixed.

Even though Su Yang was brave, he was not a reckless person. Hence, after deciding to meet Feng Yonghui, he summoned Janet back to his side.

When Su Yang discovered that the southeastern region of Socot Island had become a virtual space, it was really convenient. Su Yang did not even have to pick Janet up. Instead, as long as Janet entered the southeastern region of Socot Island’s vicinity, he could automatically enter the virtual space. Plus, he could also return to the real world from the virtual space.

However, the reverse was not possible. Su Yang tried to walk from the virtual space to Socot Island, but he realized that the thick smoke around him would bounce him back like a huge elastic egg.

‘So, we’re able to enter the virtual space from the real world, but there isn’t a way to enter reality from the virtual space directly. This is like a one-way transportation channel that’s being restricted by some strange rules.

‘Based on this phenomenon, I now realize that the descended virtual space is more like a projection of the real world where all actions can directly “affect” the real world…

‘Everything here, be it the buildings, the living beings, the land or the weather, they’re all in an amazing state. They’re all clearly just a projection, but it could affect the actual body that produced the projection.

After Janet returned, Su Yang asked about his progress. Janet said that after he transformed back into his original form, he searched the sea near Socot Island and only found two of his own kind, while the other sharks were nowhere to be found.

Also, because the intelligence of normal living beings was too weak, Janet could not communicate with them at all. Furthermore, he did not know what had happened to them or where the other sharks were.

However, Janet used his identity as a shark king to bring the two sharks to the shore of Socot Island. Then, he found a suitable habitat for the two sharks and kept them there.

Su Yang pondered for a moment. ‘If I want to complete this mission, I might have to start with Janet. Coincidentally, Janet is only at +3 at the moment, so if I add a point for him and make him +4, this problem of mine might just be solved.

‘However, from +4 onwards, every item and monster would have a huge increase in time required, from one hour to 18 hours. Now that a war is imminent and I’m going to have to face it alone, I wouldn’t dare to lose Janet, my powerful assistant. Well then, I’ll just have to postpone giving Janet +4 and completing my Platinum Mission.’

After everything was arranged, Su Yang put on a proper suit the next afternoon. Together with Janet, Pan Zhaodi drove him to a villa area on the outskirts of Shanghai.

When they arrived at the villa area on the outskirts of Shanghai, there were already people waiting there, a man in a suit with a handsome face. When the man saw Su Yang’s Mercedes-Benz, he walked up to it with a smile and asked, “Are you Young Master Su?”

Su Yang wound down the car window and nodded. “Yes, I am.”

The person reached out and said, “I was sent by Chief Feng to pick you up. Please come this way.”

As he said that, he waved at the security guard. Immediately, the parking rack at the entrance of the villa was lifted up, and the obstacles on the road were cleared.

Under that person’s guidance, Su Yang arrived at villa No. 6.

Then, Su Yang and Janet got out of the car and strode into villa No. 6.

The security in the villa was very tight. There were bodyguards in black with sunglasses and earpieces on duty. When Su Yang entered the villa, another woman came out to welcome him.

Her gaze lingered on Janet for a while, as if she was trying to confirm his threat level. Then, she turned to Su Yang and bowed slightly. “Young Master Su, this way please. Chief Feng is already waiting for you.”

Su Yang nodded and reached into his bag without batting an eyelid. He folded the talisman that he added a point onto yesterday and wrapped it in his palm.

Very soon, the three arrived before a room. There were several men in black guarding the door.

Seeing the three of them, one of the men in black walked forward and stopped them. “Wait a moment.”

As he spoke, he took out an instrument and shone it at Su Yang and Janet. Then, he nodded at the woman and left.

The woman said to Su Yang, “Young Master Su, your subordinate isn’t allowed to enter.”

Su Yang nodded. “Sure.”

Then, he nodded at Janet. “You stand guard out here, Janet.”

Janet’s gaze swept over the few of them. After confirming that these people could be put down in a few seconds, he agreed. “Understood.”

Seeing how reasonable Su Yang was, the woman heaved a sigh of relief. She opened the door and gestured to Su Yang. “Young Master Su, please enter.”

“Thank you.” Su Yang nodded and walked in.

The room was a very normal reception room. The reception room had an antique feel to it which made it seem low profile, but there was something mysterious about it. Inside, a slightly thin man sat on the sofa.

He was wearing a black Chinese tunic suit and a pair of glasses. Even though he was thin, he did not give off the feeling that he was weak. Instead, he exuded his calmness and an extraordinary demeanor.

When he heard Su Yang walk in, he raised his head. Behind his glasses was a pair of bright eyes that seemed to be able to see right through people’s hearts.

“Su, Yang… What a good name.” Feng Yonghui repeated Su Yang’s name before gesturing to the sofa beside him. “Please take a seat, Young Master Su.”

Su Yang looked around the room before walking to the sofa.

After he sat down, Feng Yonghui chatted casually as if he was not Su Yang’s enemy. “Actually, I’m not unfamiliar with you. I’ve taken some time to read a lot of your information over the past few days. I began reading on you from your official records until the present. Of course, the closer I get to the present, the more detailed the information was.”

Then, he took out a black cloth from his pocket and removed the glasses from the bridge of his nose. As he lowered his head to wipe them, he said, “However, the more I looked at your information, the more shocked I was. You seem to have jumped out of nowhere at the beginning of this year and you’ve grown to your current state in such a short time.”

“Very amazing. Yes, simply amazing.”

“If it wasn’t for the fact that the information couldn’t have been wrong, I would have suspected that someone had made up a story for me.”

“After all, what you’ve experienced so far is really surprising and… A lot of things simply don’t make sense.”

Feng Yonghui finished wiping his glasses and put them back on. Then, he looked at Su Yang with his sharp eyes. “So… Can you tell me how you managed to develop so quickly?”

Even though Feng Yonghui’s tone was very calm, his words were filled with power. There seemed to be some magical power within them that compelled people to obey him.

Su Yang felt that if Feng Yonghui’s ability could be evaluated by the system, the usage of his language would be at least at the level of [Intermediate Verbal Cannon]. ‘As expected of this generation’s leader of the Fengs.’

Su Yang lamented in his heart for a moment. Then, he very casually replied to Feng Yonghui’s question with his experience from [Verbal Cannon]. “Probably… Luck, I suppose. After all, the world’s unpredictable, who knows whether a huge bucket of gold would suddenly drop from the sky.”

Feng Yonghui smiled as if he was not surprised by Su Yang’s answer. Then, he nodded his head. “Luck. Good reason. Then… What about artificial intelligence? I doubt that’s something that can be invented through sheer luck, can it?”

He continued to say, “I’m not like those people from the related departments that don’t understand technology. Instead, I have a certain understanding of these advanced technologies. Not only would it cost a lot of money to be able to develop a fully-matured artificial intelligence, it will also take a lot of time from scientists and researchers from various industries.”

“So excuse me, how did you manage to develop this?”

Su Yang coughed. “Luck, just luck. I’m so sorry, but I really did manage to develop it while I thought I was going to try and have a little fun. I also didn’t think that other companies needed so many people.”

Feng Yonghui was speechless.

‘Feng Yonghui felt like he had met his match this time. He had been nurtured by his father since he was young. Coupled with the decades of experience and his current status, he had already developed an extraordinary presence. Therefore, no common person would be able to withstand him while he was questioning someone.

Unexpectedly, Su Yang acted as if he was not intimidated at all as he very easily avoided the topic, causing Feng Yonghui’s punches to feel like they’ve landed on cotton.

For the first time, he started to take the young man before him, who was only about the same age as his own child, seriously. ‘He’s not someone who can be dealt with easily… He can’t be allowed to grow any further!’

Just as Feng Yonghui quietly made his decision, Su Yang smiled and said, “By the way, Chief Feng, I’m actually very curious as well. The Fengs don’t seem to have begun its legacy for too many years, it was only Old Master Feng entered the capital did your family gradually become rich. So, just how did your family manage to build up such a huge family business?”

Feng Yonghui was stunned for a moment when he heard Su Yang’s direct question. Then, he smiled and said, “Luck. It’s all sheer luck.”

Su Yang burst into laughter when he heard Feng Yonghui rebutting him with his own words. ‘Well then, I guess we’re both blessed by luck.’

Therefore, the two foxes looked at each other and started laughing.

After laughing, Feng Yonghui said to Su Yang, “Su Yang, before I met you, I only had one thought in my mind. I wanted you to lose your reputation and be imprisoned for the rest of your life. Of course, it would be best if I killed you.”

Instantly, Su Yang’s gaze turned cold.

Feng Yonghui smiled nonchalantly. “You don’t have to wonder why I would dare to say something like this. This room has been covered with shields that prevents all recording devices from being used.”

“Plus, I won’t admit to anything I’ve just said the moment I walk out the door.”

[Space Traversing Eyes] judged it as. [Truth]…

After pausing for a moment, he looked at Su Yang and said, “But, after seeing you today, my thoughts have suddenly changed. I think I really do admire you. How about it… Would you like to join the Fengs?”
