Chapter 452: Skull Island

“A Grand Luo has come to Earth?”

Jiang He had a taste of the grilled meat before exclaiming in joy, “Huh… this Nine-headed Serpent Emperor meat is quite delicious. It has such a kick and is chewy too!”

Looking completely unconcerned, he turned to find Wang Hou scowling, and so said, “Why are you frowning? It most likely is a Grand Luo from Earth. Would a Grand Luo from the Hundred Races Alliance enter Earth so discreetly?”

Pausing, he then added, “Moreover, it is not as if we are helpless against an average Grand Luo. In fact, we wouldn’t have to fear a mid-level Grand Luo either.”

At the moment, Jiang He had already earned over five hundred million Farm Points. There were also millions of immortal crystals as well as bulks of immortal items and medicinal pellets he had yet to plant, and the Farm Points he could earn from those could improve him up to Grand Luo.

So what if he ascended up to Grand Luo later?

Taking out several bottles of beer with a flip of his hand, Jiang He opened one and handed it to Wang Hou before opening another to drink from. Laughing, he said, “Ignore all that, Old Wang. Come, beer and grill!”

Wang Hou grinned, and released a gust of frosty Yuan Qi from his palm to chill the beer before chugging it.

After some small talk, Wang Hou then looked out into the distance over the endless sea and said, “We will arrive on Skull Island soon…”

Jiang He’s divine mind shifted and instantly stretched out, immediately noticing an isle shrouded in dense Spirit Qi sixteen hundred kilometers away. It was almost an enormous thousand-kilometer-wide isle, and there were countless daemons upon it.

“There are so many Feral Emperors!”

Jiang He exclaimed in surprise. “Since when were there so many born on Earth?”

Indeed, there were over thirty Feral Emperors and more than a hundred Feral Kings. That was not all either, as multiple presences of Feral Kings and Feral Emperors were lurking at the surrounding oceans.

How could Jiang He not be shocked?

After all, those Feral Kings and Feral Emperors were not legacies left by daemons but born in recent years, and most likely the recent year and a half at that. There was no way the other nations would not have noticed them otherwise.

And a year ago, the Hua Nation’s Martial Arts Department (MAD) and the intelligence organization of various departments had already found out there were no more than fifteen Feral Emperors across the globe.

That number included the Dragoncroc Emperor and Golden-Winged Roc that Jiang He caught… as well as the Nine-Headed Serpent Emperor caught at the Pacific, which meant they were making grill skewers at the moment.

But now, there were up to fifty of them living in Skull Island and the seas surrounding it. Which country aside from the Hua Nation could stop them if they focused their strength and attacked one?

Steering the ship, Jiang He headed toward Skull Island.

The ship was a superior-grade immortal item and Jiang He had dozens of similar items. Indeed, he took this one out on a whim without really thinking about it when he and Wang Hou headed out to sea.

Not only could it sail on top of the oceans, it was also inscribed with arrays that could propel it as a flying boat.

After all, ships were not rare, and cultivators often preferred to craft mystic treasures in the form of ships to travel. Some sects and factions would even build gigantic ships as transportation for their sects and it was no exception even for other races.

“Eh?”

Jiang He’s expression suddenly shifted and he waved his hand to retrieve his ship.

Having sensed it as well, Wang Hou could not help chuckling, “Impressive. That stealth ability is not bad… I actually did not notice them before.”

As their divine mind observed, they could see six figures hidden deep in ocean amidst the corals, around a hundred kilometers away from Skull Island.

Their auras were not weak and were actually superior to ordinary Mahayana elites, though there was an obvious difference between the aura signature of their bodies to actual Mahayana elites’.

The terms came to Jiang He’s mind then: sacred warriors and sacred mages.

These were probably the elites of the west.

One of them was a sacred mage adept at hiding auras, who used a certain method to conceal the whole groups presence. It was so incredible that neither Jiang He nor Wang Hou would have sensed it if they were not looking around with their divine minds.

Naturally, the ape king of Skull Island might not notice them at all if it used divine mind either.

Both men hence shared a smile, the air around their bodies rippling and refracting light as they slowly disappeared from the ocean’s surface, quietly appearing 500 meters to the rear of the same coral.

Their divine minds interacted through acoustics.

Wang Hou said, “These western elites are not that weak. After all, the strongest cultivators among the Hua Nation’s immortal sects, demonic sects, and daemonic clans were only top-tier Mahayana cultivators.”

“The sacred mages and sacred warriors may be equivalent to Mahayana, but their fighting capabilities are much lacking.”

Jiang He replied, chuckling, “I could instakill all six of them even when I was Mahayana.”

Wang Hou’s mouth twitched.

You?

Does common sense even apply to you?

You could kill Golden Immortals even if you are Heavenly Immortal, and directly fight Golden Immortals as a True Immortal. Do you think these guys compare to you?

Jiang He did not notice Wang Hou’s reaction, however. After belittling the sacred mages and sacred warriors hidden at the corals, he then said, “These western elites are quite pitiful… aside from having some of their best killed by a Feral, they even have to launch a sneak attack. Have the immortal sects or demonic sects we know ever gone through such grief?”

Wang Hou was dumbstruck.

He could not help wanting to retort despite his composure.

You… have the cheek to say that?

The immortal sects, demonic sects and daemonic cultivators of Hua Nation, never suffering grief?

Have any of them not been high and mighty and untouchable? But then what happened? You consecutively slaughtered the Penglai Sect and all of the Green Hill Foxes, scaring them to the point that they did not even dare to speak too loudly…

Have you even considered them before saying what you just said?

Meanwhile, as they quietly communicated through acoustics, the six sacred warriors and sacred mages were speaking subtly as well.

There were five men and one woman.

Of them, a middle-aged-looking man dressed in a black cloak as well and a blonde woman dressed in tight-fitting combat garments were mages, while the others were all warriors.

The cloaked man spoke in English, “Everyone, the daemon ape is unmatched in cruelty, and we would never have peace as long as it doesn’t die. Moreover, Skull Island is extraordinary, for its Spirit Qi is up to ten times more concentrated than the outside. We could claim it as a Holy Ground for cultivation if we could conquer it.”

“That’s right!”

The blonde woman’s beautiful brows sparkled as she spoke, “I could sense a strong attractive force. Elemental energies are manifesting out there, and it is the reason the daemon ape and its lackeys have gained intelligence and assumed the path of cultivation to rise as daemons. There could be providence on this island.”

She extended her agile tongue to lick her scarlet lips, passion filling her gaze as she said, “I have a feeling that deification is possible if we could cultivate a handful of years on the island!”

Deification!

That word left mage and warriors alike thrilled.

Once divinity was condensed, they would gain not only incredible power, but a very long life as well.

“Gentlemen, ladies!”

The black-robed mage spoke somberly then. “We have locked on to the specific position of the daemon ape, and we shall soon infiltrate the island… remember, attack once we were spotted and make it quick, ending it in one go!”

With that, they sneaked toward Skull Island.

Even though they were moving through water, they did not cause any ripples.

“Oh?”

Jiang He was surprised. “So that’s their water-type magic? No wonder the Ten Thousand Swords Daoist held them in such disdain. They really assumed the path of a minor Dao, and that water-type spell is probably a branch of Water-element Dao.”

“That blonde mage lady was using a dark-type spell too, wasn’t she? Is that a variation of Death Dao?”

The two men exchanged even as they followed the other group.

Around three minutes later…

The six western elites all infiltrated Skull Island.

And yet, the instant they set foot on Skull Island…

Ooom!

An immortal light abruptly erupted on Skull Island.

At its center, a giant ape that was over a hundred feet tall walked in the air, its Daemonic Qi firing into the skies as it coldly growled, “What insolent wretch dares to intrude upon my island?!”
