Chapter 664 - Yu Omuri’s Trouble

Su Tao and Ni Jingqiu visited the hospital together. But before they even entered the ward, they saw Yu Omuri and Natsuki Sakamoto sitting outside. Natsuki Sakamoto was holding onto a book as she tried to pronounce, while Yu Omuri patiently corrected her mistakes.

When Natsuki Sakamoto saw Su Tao, she immediately stowed the book.

Walking over to them, Su Tao asked with a smile, “What are you guys doing?”

“I’m teaching Natsuki-san Mandarin, and she’s smart to pick it up quickly!” Yu Omuri immediately explained.

When he finished, he even threw an encouraging gaze at Natsuki Sakamoto.

As Natsuki Sakamoto’s face blushed, she muttered, “Hello, Su Tao!”

Hearing her words, Su Tao was briefly stunned before he replied with a smile. “Hello, hello!”

Natsuki Sakamoto had only learned a few simple pronunciations in the past two days. Bashfully, she explained in Japanese, “I only know this much, please forgive me for that!”

Standing beside her, Yu Omuri immediately explained for her as Su Tao encouraged, “There’s an old saying in Mandarin. You can achieve anything as long as you’re determined. I believe that if you continue learning, your attainments might reach even higher than Doctor Omuri!”

After Yu Omuri translated for Natsuki Sakamoto, she rejoiced, “I will definitely do my best!”

“How’s her father?” Su Tao got back on the main topic with a grave expression.

“His condition is under control, and his signs are slowly returning to normal. Mr. Su, you’re genuinely a Divine Physician of this era!” Yu Omuri praised from the depth of his heart.

Waving his hand, Su Tao humbly replied, “You have contributed to this matter as well.”

Shaking his head, Yu Omuri frankly replied, “Mr. Su, I dare not accept this contribution.”

Su Tao looked at Natsuki Sakamoto, who was staring at him as he conversed with Yu Omuri and sighed, “I will conduct a follow-up on Keisuke Sakamoto. If it goes well, I won’t have to come anymore. In the future, it will depend on you, Mr. Omuri.”

“I’m just doing my duty!” Yu Omuri solemnly said.

But just when Su Tao wanted to enter the ward, a group of doctors in white coats came over. Su Tao recognised the two that were leading the group since he had met them a few days ago, Naoto Ohshima and Shin Nomura.

Naoto Ohshima looked at Yu Omuri with a smug smile on his face and said, “Yu Omuri, you’ve violated the hospital’s rules and regulations. Please come with us now!”

“What have I violated? Don’t utter rubbish!” Yu Omuri was confused.

Shin Nomura respectfully glanced at the elderly man beside him and said, “Yu Omuri, I will ask you a question, and please be honest. Is Keisuke Sakamoto currently under your charge?”

“That’s right! I’m his doctor!” Yu Omuri decisively replied.

“Were you the one who suggested to him that he doesn’t require any organ transplant, and he can be treated with Chinese medicine?” Shin Nomura pressed on hard.

Hearing those words, Yu Omuri locked his brows together. Strictly speaking, it was Su Tao who gave the treatment method, but Su Tao wasn’t a doctor in this hospital, so his prescriptions naturally fell outside the rules and regulations.

“That’s right!” Yu Omuri gritted his teeth.

Although Su Tao couldn’t understand Japanese, Ni Jingqiu was busy translating for him from the side. Su Tao had also seen through the scheme. Naoto Ohshima and Shin Nomura wanted to land Yu Omuri into trouble.

His treatment for Keisuke Sakamoto might seem to be a good thing, but there’s a problem in it if you think about it seriously. Su Tao wasn’t a doctor of this hospital, so he naturally shouldn’t treat the patients here. Su Tao was a specialist acknowledged by the Central Healthcare Committee as a National Healer, and he naturally had the license to practice medicine, but that’s in China. In Japan, no one would acknowledge his qualifications and license.

Back in the canteen, Naoto Ohshima and Shin Nomura had already held grudges, so they’ve been trying to find Yu Omuri’s mistakes. In the end, they got to know from one of the nurses on duty that Yu Omuri canceled the treatment method for Keisuke Sakamoto to have an organ transplant and changed to treatment with Chinese medicine because he had taken the suggestion of a physician from China.

Su Tao locked his brows together. From the information given to him by Xia Yu, Yu Omuri did not have a good relationship with others, and he was often oppressed by his colleagues. However, he never expected that it would be such a coincidence for him to witness it.

“Mr. Omuri, you don’t have to hide the truth to protect me. I was the one who gave treatment to Keisuke Sakamoto, and it has nothing to do with you.” Su Tao said.

After that, he turned to Ni Jingqiu. “Help me translate. I was the one who treated Keisuke Sakamoto, and it has nothing to do with Mr. Omuri.”

But when Ni Jingqiu translated for him, Naoto Ohshima sneered, “You’re not a doctor of our hospital, so what gives you the qualification to treat our patient?”

“The patient is a friend of mine. Is there a problem in me providing a suggestion to him?” Su Tao smiled.

“This is our hospital’s internal affairs, and you have no qualifications to interfere!” Naoto Ohshima said after Ni Jingqiu translated for Su Tao. He cautiously looked at the two of them before he said, “Omuri-kun, are you refusing the investigation by the hospital?”

Yu Omuri inwardly sighed before he turned to Su Tao. “This has nothing to do with you. I’ll go with them to make an explanation. Keisuke Sakamoto’s situation is already under control, and he can be discharged anytime.”

Firstly, Keisuke Sakamoto’s condition was already under control, and there’s no need for a kidney transplant. Since he only had to take medication, there’s no difference if he’s taking it at home or in the hospital. But if he continued to stay in the hospital, it would only increase their economic burden.

Secondly, judging from Naoto Ohshima’s tone, he did not come here with kind intentions, and he might be removed as Keisuke Sakamoto’s doctor after this incident.

Yu Omuri gave a deep glance at Natsuki Sakamoto before he left with the group.

Natsuki Sakamoto was instantly at a loss since she still had no idea what’s happening.

“Doctor Omuri is telling you to get the discharge procedures for your father done.” Su Tao reminded.

“But! Will Doctor Omuri be in trouble?” Natsuki Sakamoto looked at Su Tao with a worried gaze after she heard Ni Jingqiu’s translation.

Natsuki Sakamoto already knew that her father’s condition was already under control, and Yu Omuri had mentioned it to her beforehand. However, she could catch the scent of a scheme. She knew that Yu Omuri wasn’t in a good position right now. Although the two of them did not know each other for long, Yu Omuri still left a good impression on her. In her heart, Yu Omuri was a passionate doctor. He visited many doctors to find a treatment for her father, and a doctor like him was rare.

“Mr. Omuri definitely has his ways to resolve this matter, so you don’t have to be too worried.” In reality, Su Tao was also feeling nervous about Yu Omuri. He could tell that Yu Omuri did not purely treat Natsuki Sakamoto as a family member of his patient, but had guessed that Yu Omuri had feelings for her. But judging from Natsuki Sakamoto’s reaction, she didn’t seem to have realised it.

But seeing Yu Omuri being oppressed by his colleagues, Su Tao felt somewhat inwardly happy. After all, Yu Omuri was someone that he wanted to poach. He even had sinister thoughts of getting Yu Omuri fired in his hospital to follow him back to China.

Then again, Su Tao knew that his method might be too simple. Yu Omuri might be an introverted person, but he has obtained the acknowledgment from the leaders of the hospital.

Half an hour later, Natsuki Sakamoto got the discharge procedures done and was about to leave the hospital.

Looking at Keisuke Sakamoto’s complexion, Su Tao smiled. “You’re recovering well. If it goes according to my expectations, you will recover soon. Just contact me immediately if anything happens since you have my contact details. I will be in Kyoto for some time.”

After Keisuke Sakamoto heard Su Tao’s words from Ni Jingqiu’s translation, he was somewhat emotional as he held onto Su Tao’s hands. Yesterday, Yu Omuri had told him that Su Tao was the one who treated him. Initially, Keisuke Sakamoto was treating Su Tao cautiously since the latter was a foreigner, but Su Tao’s selfless help to his family had touched him.

After Keisuke Sakamoto left, Ni Jingqiu looked at Su Tao with a complicated gaze as a playful smile rose on her lips. “I’m surprised!”

“What are you surprised about?” Su Tao was curious.

“I never expected that you would be so interested in a man.” Ni Jingqiu winked her eyes.

Su Tao had to admit that he had to look at Ni Jingqiu’s wisdom in a new light.

“How did you manage to see that I’m interested in Yu Omuri?” He asked.

“Your gaze!” Ni Jingqiu pointed at Su Tao’s eyes and continued, “Your gaze only briefly stopped on Natsuki Sakamoto compared to Yu Omuri. If I’ve guessed correctly, he’s the person that you’re here for, right?”

“You’ve guessed it right! Yu Omuri is not only a doctor, but he’s also employed in a Chinese medicine research facility affiliated with the hospital. He’s a rare talent!” Su Tao bitterly smiled.

“You need my help?” Ni Jingqiu nodded her head.

“What methods do you have?” Su Tao pretended to be baffled as he looked at Ni Jingqiu. If Ni Jingqiu was really able to help, it’s definitely easier than him racking his brain for an idea.

Sourly glaring at Su Tao, Ni Jingqiu replied, “You’re full of bad ideas. I’m afraid that you already have your own method without me saying it. Actually, my method isn’t any different from yours.”

Shaking his head, Su Tao innocently responded, “I’m just a physician, and I know nothing about scheming.”

Gently patting Su Tao’s shoulder, Ni Jingqiu promised, “Seeing that you helped me with Mu Jingchen, I will help you to poach Yu Omuri. But the method might be a little dark, and you might feel uncomfortable if you know about it.”

“You don’t need to have any psychological burden. As long as Yu Omuri is willing to go to China with me, I can accept anything. I might be kind-hearted, but I can also sell out part of my conscience to achieve my goal.” Su Tao laughed as he shook his head.

Thereafter, the two of them smiled together. The rapport between the two of them was getting stronger, and they could guess each other’s thoughts without saying anything.
