Chapter 713 - The Unusual Letter of Regre

“You’re Divine Physician Su?” The patient’s mother was instantly stunned. The reason why she chose this place to treat her daughter was due to Su Tao’s fame, especially when both her and her daughter were Su Tao’s fans.

When the deaf girl saw Su Tao, she immediately stood up as her ears turned red. She felt extremely ashamed, pulling on the corner of her mother’s shirt with her head lowered, signaling her mother not to cause any more mess.

Although she couldn’t hear, she felt extremely embarrassed when she saw the reporters. She has been lowering her head, not wanting her face to be taped. Now that Su Tao appeared, she instantly felt both ashamed and embarrassed for her mother to be caused a din before her idol.

“Aunty, I’m Su Tao!” Su Tao sighed as he continued, “I’m sorry about that. I have just returned to Hanzhou City, and I already knew what’s going on, so please be patient.”

Seeing that Su Tao had appeared, the patient’s mother instantly calmed down as she spoke out in grievance, “We came here because of your reputation. Initially, it was a small condition, but my daughter has gone dead now. We’ve actually brought her to the hospital’s ENT doctor, but there wasn't any inflammation. Thinking about it, she only ate Chinese medicine yesterday, so it must have something to do with the medicine.”

Nodding his head, Su Tao replied, “What you say makes sense, and anything is possible. Before any investigation, we can't rule out the possibility that it has something to do with our herbs.”

Seeing that Su Tao wasn’t trying to deny the responsibility, the patient’s mother calmed down.

This is the typical situation in a dispute between physicians and patients. If you don’t admit your mistakes, they will act out even more furiously. Then again, it was also because Su Tao had shown up. If it was someone else, the effect might not be that great.

“Since there’s a problem, then it naturally has to be resolved.” The female reporter tried to fan the fire once more upon seeing the atmosphere calming down, “Deafness isn’t a small issue, and if the girl could no longer hear anymore, it will affect her greatly. I think that as the party responsible, you guys should express your attitude clearly and provide the best method.”

“Who are you?” Su Tao swept a glance at the female reporter, who seemed to be in her late twenties as she dressed fashionably. She wore a thin white dress with makeup on her face. But Su Tao could tell that her natural complexion wasn’t so far. Her neck even looks yellow and her skin also looks dry.

If the female reporter doesn’t put on any makeup, she can only be considered ordinary, and at best, above ordinary. She had thick lips, protruding collar bones with an arc on her lips. Judging from her looks, a person like her must be pretty scheming, the kind of woman who loves to start a rumour.

When the woman heard Su Tao’s unhappy tone as he questioned her, she knitted her brows lightly and replied, “I’m the reporter of the program, Let the Goddess Help You. Our program has a high viewership, and we specialise in exposing malicious businessmen like you.”

Glancing at the female reporter, Su Tao sneered, “Since when is the term ‘Goddess’ so worthless nowadays? You claim to be a goddess with your appearance?”

The female reporter nearly went insane from Su Tao’s ridicule as she immediately turned to her partner, “Did you film it down? That’s a personal attack!”

“I forgot to switch it on!” The man smiled bitterly.

He was also dumbfounded by Su Tao’s ridicule. He had seen unreasonable businessmen, but they would generally give face to reporters. At the very least, basic respect. There hasn’t been anyone so arrogant like Su Tao.

Then again, even if Su Tao’s remark was recorded, they also can’t broadcast it. If everyone sees it, they will only mock them for being useless that the other party didn’t even care about you.

“What the hell are you doing? Film it all!” The female reporter couldn’t vent out her indignance as she roared at her partner. In her heart, she was planning to expose Su Tao and cause his reputation in Hanzhou City to be foul.

The man sighed awkwardly and started recording as her partner had instructed.

“Do you still dare to repeat what you said earlier?” The female reporter provoked.

Wearing a smile, Su Tao replied, “Firstly, I would have to apologise to you guys because I have never heard of your program. But based on how you tried to fan the fire to cause a dispute instead of meditating, you don’t even have the basic principles of being a human being. You’re just selling your soul for some news to mislead the public. You’re not worthy of being called a ‘Goddess’, much less a reporter.”

The female reporter’s face had alternated between red and white as she nearly went insane. She had been in this industry for years, and it’s her first time seeing someone like Su Tao.

“Y-you…” The female reporter pointed at Su Tao as she roared, “I will sue you for insulting me. You will have to compensate me for my mental damages!”

“Professionally speaking, it’s hard for a bad egg like you to suffer from any mental illnesses.” Su Tao smiled.

The female reporter’s face turned pale. How are Su Tao’s words so vicious despite his young age?

Su Tao was respectful to reporters, but there are blacksheep in the industry as well. From how the female reporter asked her question earlier, she wasn’t standing on the side of the customer, and instead, she has been trying to instigate a dispute.

This is also a common situation between a physician and patient dispute. In the process of ‘supervising the controversy’, the media would usually lose their impartialness, slandering the hospital to arouse public anger. Most doctors are still professional with morals, but their daily working environment has also affected their personality.

Just like how all reporters are hoping to become the voice of justice, doctors also wish to become famous.

“Husband, you’re finally here!” The patient’s mother wiped her tears when she saw a middle-aged man walking in.

The man seemed to be in his fifties as he wore an Armani suit along with a Longines watch. That watch definitely costs more than ¥20,000, and it’s a symbol of being successful.

“Rest assured, I have already made my arrangements. If the Three Flavour Hall does not give us any explanation, I will definitely not let this matter rest.” The man swept his cold gaze out at everyone and continued, “I have already greeted Chief Lai of the City Industry and Commerce Department. In just a while, he will get someone to close your store.”

“Close the store?” Su Tao smiled bitterly as things seemed to be getting more interesting. But since it was a fault with his pharmacy, he couldn’t act out too arrogantly. He’s currently waiting for Chen Defeng to return, so he could only delay, “The Three Flavour Hall has been abiding by the law, and we have everything ready. There isn’t an outcome for your daughter’s condition yet, so I’m afraid that no other departments can interfere, right?”

“You know how to be afraid now?” The man thought that Su Tao had become scared as he continued, “I know that your Three Flavour Hall has a huge reputation, but I’m not someone to be bullied.”

Seeing Chen Defeng showing up on the entrance, Su Tao coughed, “I’ve instructed the doctor who treated your daughter yesterday to write a letter of regret, so you can take a look at it now.”

Listening to Su Tao’s words, Chen Defeng came in as he handed the paper to the deaf girl. When the deaf girl read through the letter, her eyes burst out in rage with her hands trembling as tears fell down. When her mother saw that something was wrong, she immediately took the paper over. Reading through the letter, she had a shock in her eyes as the letter of regret was all insults.

“Miss, I have on need to apologise to you as I have done nothing wrong. Your condition has nothing to do with me. I never expected that you would learn how to lie, losing your innocence at such a young age. For someone as vile as you, I believe that you will receive your retribution. The day will come when you will be punished by the heavens…”

“Mom, stop reading it anymore!” The young girl interrupted as she couldn’t listen to it anymore.

“Nini, what did you just say?” The girl’s mother had a shock in her eyes.

“Mom, I told you to stop reading it. I’m embarrassed even if you don’t find it embarrassing!” The young girl repeated. Thereafter, she immediately found something wrong as she was shocked, covering her mouth as she looked at her mother in disbelief, “Mom, I can hear again!”

The girl’s mother embraced the girl emotionally as she confirmed, “Nini, can you really hear what I’m saying?”

As for the two reporters, they stood by the side as they looked at each other, wondering what just happened.

The female reporter was initially rejoicing when she heard the humiliating letter, but she never expected that the girl would regain her sense of hearing in a blink of an eye.

The conflict started with the girl, so if the girl could hear, wouldn’t that prove that it has nothing to do with the Three Flavour Hall? Wouldn’t that mean that they came here for nothing?

“Nini, can you really hear what I’m saying? Is my voice soft or is there any noise? Don’t lie to me.” The girl’s mother continued to ask as she was still somewhat worried.

“Mom, I’m fine again.” The girl recalled as she explained, “Earlier, I sensed a buzz in my mind and ear before I heard what you’re saying.”

Looking at Su Tao in admiration, Chen Defeng exclaimed out, “It’s all thanks to Physician Su. He instructed me to write this letter of regret on purpose to stimulate your emotions. Because of the drastic changes in your emotions, your sudden deafness recovered by itself without any medication.”

“You’re saying that my daughter was suffering from sudden deafness?” The mother pursued it as she was surprised.

“That’s right. If the emotions of someone suddenly had a drastic change, it might cause sudden blindness of deafness. But it’s rare that someone managed to discover the cause of your daughter’s condition with just a glance like our Physician Su.” Chen Defeng praised.
