Chapter 350: Jiang Qingyu’s Strength

When the last iron chain had been cut open, Jiang Chen took Jiang Qingyu back above ground.

“Father, take this.”

Jiang Chen gave him the best recovery panacea, then treated his wounds.

With this aid, Jiang Qingyu soon recovered.

Like a hungry man that had been given a good meal and rest after starving for a long time, he gained his energy back. He looked stunning.

“Son, what has happened?” Jiang Qingyu asked.

Jiang Chen briefly told him what had happened and the crisis they were facing.

“Let’s go back.”

Jiang Qingyu knew they shouldn’t waste any more time after learning the crisis the Southwind Ridge was in, but he didn’t panic. He looked serious and calm, which was comforting.

“Son, let me handle it.”

Jiang Qingyu patted Jiang Chen’s shoulders and flew towards the mountains first.

“A Venerable?”

Jiang Chen was extremely surprised. He hadn’t expected his father to be that strong.

But at second thought, he had to have been strong enough that neither the Black Dragon City nor the Xia Dynasty could defeat him easily.

He hurried to follow his father, but the distance between them was becoming farther and farther.

Without the warship, of course Jiang Chen couldn’t compare to a Venerable in terms of flying speed.

“Human, I can help you find the Black Dragon City’s Dragon Ball as well as mine.”

The black dragon’s voice rang out when they were about to fly out of the Black Dragon City’s territory.

“Dragon Ball? We’ll talk about it later.”

There was no time for Jiang Chen to look for treasure. He managed to arrive at the Hundred Thousand Mountains in fifteen minutes flying at his highest speed.

He looked down and saw endless troops were entering the mountains. The front lines were made up of endless puppet machine-operated beasts.

Chariots as tall as hills were advancing. Wherever they passed, they left a yellowish brown flat trail. They were followed by numerous soldiers walking in step with each other. Their armor was clanking as they brushed.

Jiang Chen flew up and found the troops were advancing from different directions, but they destination was the same — the Southwind Ridge.

Fire and smoke signals could be observed everywhere. Many of the groups that had been affiliated with the Southwind Ridge during this period had been eliminated by the troops.

The mountains had already started to bleed!

Jiang Chen gnashed his teeth and clenched his fists tightly. He thought to himself, I’ll make sure this ends with the royal family’s blood.

When he returned to the Southwind Ridge, he found that although the troops hadn’t arrived yet, the battle was already on.

Several armed soldiers from the dynasty were attacking one person together.

They were all Reaching Heaven States. Before Jiang Chen and Jiang Qingyu’s arrival, the strongest soldiers of the Southwind Ridge had only been Mental Wander States.

But the guy exchanging blows with the spearheads was Fan Tu, wearing the general-level Dark Soldier Armor.

So the warship had arrived before the troops.

“Where are the other Dark Soldiers?” Jiang Chen looked around. Soon he saw the other eleven Dark Soldiers fighting with a well-armed battalion.

Jiang Chen frowned. The Southwind Ridge was 100 times weaker than the Black Dragon City, but it was under the siege of so many people, not just one.

The Southwind Ridge didn’t even have a powerful enough great tactical formation, since they had been under the protection of the Natural Law School.

“I’ll pay it back ten times, 100 times for each of my clansmen that die today!”

Jiang Chen landed in the mountain city. Panicked mountain people were everywhere. All the Wind Move Guards were at the city gate, expecting the attackers’ arrival.

Jiang Chen saw his warship stopped over the Jiang Mansion, so he dashed over.

He saw his grandpa, Jiang Wentian, his uncle, Jiang Tianxiong, and the others quickly.

“Jiang Chen, you’re back!”

“Jiang Chen, this ship can’t hold many people. Not many can run away!”

Jiang Chen frowned. The warship only had space for a couple hundred people. Of course, he knew that.

“Where is father? I don’t see him.”

“Qingyu? We don’t see him, either.” Both Jiang Wentian and Jiang Tianxiong were confused.

“What?”

His father had been ahead of him, but hadn’t he arrived yet? Jiang Chen was very anxious. Fortunately, a strong energy landed beside him suddenly.

“Qingyu!”

“Brother!”

Jiang Wentian and Jiang Tianxiong shouted in pleasant surprise.

“Father! Tianxiong!” Jiang Qingyu was emotional, too. They hadn’t seen each other for years. There were so many things they needed to catch up on.

But it wasn’t time yet.

“Chen, you made it. You really made it!” Jiang Wentian burst into tears. He was so happy that he was trembling.

Jiang Chen had used to claim he would save his father. He had believed his grandson was resolute enough, but he also knew how difficult it would be.

He hadn’t expected his son to appear like this all of a sudden.

“Grandpa, there’s no time for that,” Jiang Chen said nervously.

Jiang Qingyu said, “Son, don’t worry. We’re not running away. We’re going to fight!”

“Really?”

Jiang Chen hesitated. His warship was designed to attack. Defense wasn’t its thing. If they really had a battle with the troops, the Hundred Thousand Mountains would be destroyed.

“I talked to someone just now. Take it easy. It’ll be fine,” Jiang Qingyu said.

“Yeah?”

Jiang Chen was wondering who it could’ve been, but Jiang Qingyu didn’t tell him. He looked up and glanced at Fan Tu fighting. He said in surprise, “Since when is Fan Tu so great? One versus four, and four Reaching Heaven States?”

He moved to help as he spoke.

“Master!” Fan Tu’s eyes turned red with emotion when he saw Jiang Qingyu.

“You’re doing great. Go. Leave them to me,” Jiang Qingyu said.

“Okay.” Fan Tu didn’t hesitate. He retreated right away.

The soldiers didn’t chase him. They surrounded Jiang Qingyu as fast as possible.

“It’s still not too late for you to go back and withdraw!” said Jiang Qingyu.

“Jiang Qingyu, stop trash-talking. You cut one of Brother Xue’s arms off. We haven’t settled that yet.”

“Go to hell!”

“Go! If we take him, we’ll have control of Jiang Chen and his warship!”

The four Reaching Heaven States didn’t take him seriously at all. They launched their attacks at the same time.

“I’d been living a quiet life in the mountains for more than a decade. It was at the Black Dragon City where I started to fight again. You think you’re comparable to me since I was subdued by the Black Dragon City, that even if you can’t win, you’ll at least be able to retreat safely?

“What if I tell you I was poisoned in the fight with the Black Dragon City, and I couldn’t exert even one-fourth of my strength during the whole fight? What would you think?”

With nothing in his hands, Jiang Qingyu was fearless before the four men. He was floating in the air. Although his hair was loose and his clothes were ragged, the aggressive energy of his sword swept over them all.

“First Sword: Crack!”

Without a sword, Jiang Qingyu raised his right hand. He closed his index finger and middle finger together and pointed them at the void.

Thousands of sharp swords instantly appeared out of nowhere. They formed a circle and soared out.

They pierced through the four men before they could even approach. The men died immediately.

“I don’t understand where you got the confidence to attack me,” said Jiang Qingyu.
