Chapter 987: The King Grade

This was apparently a group of rich kids from the Realm of Heaven Martial Arts. Brilliant and eye-catching visions arose around them. The energy of some of them was as vast as the sea. Among them, a man and a woman caught Jiang Chen’s attention. They were good-looking and elegant. They were also the strongest in the group. The others were clustered around these two, whether intentionally or unintentionally.

“Why are you here?” He Shou’s gloom disappeared. He beamed, showing his even, white teeth.

“Because Elder Sister Xing Yue missed you.” A pretty teenage girl who looked as warm as sunshine answered with a smile that emphasized her beautiful dimples. He Shou looked toward Xing Yue. She was exactly the type of woman that Jiang Chen paid attention to.

When the two’s eyes met, all the people with them smiled mysteriously. The relationship between He Shou and Xing Yue was apparently not a simple one. Jiang Chen noticed that there was something not right between them, but he could not say what it was.

He Shou introduced his good friends to Jiang Chen. Because of He Shou’s attitude toward Jiang Chen, all of this group of people were curious about who he was. However, as they listened to He Shou’s introduction, they gradually took on odd expressions, while they continued to smile, not saying a word.

He Shou knew these people were too proud to treat Jiang Chen with respect. He felt slightly pressured because of this, but, fortunately, Jiang Chen did not seem to care at all.

“Apprentice Elder Brother.” He Shou looked toward this man in a reserved manner. He had been very cold since they had arrived. Seeing He Shou greet him, he simply nodded. Then they all walked into the house together. Led by an Ancient, they entered a spacious hall. The hall was brightly lit. There were rows of seats. They saw many people were already there. They were all humans who had struck up friendships with the Ancient Race.

They were surprised to see a group of people walking in. After learning the group was from the Seventh Realm, they did not say anything.

“How is your life here?” A beautiful female voice rang out. He Shou looked around. He found that no one else had heard her. Realizing that she had spoken to him via holy awareness, he threw his lover a surreptitious glance.

“Not bad,” he answered in the same way, although he did not like feeling sneaky.

“The elder only wants you to steel yourself for the future. He’ll let you go back soon. Why are you giving yourself up?”

“Giving myself up?” He Shou did not understand what she meant. Then he suddenly realized what she was talking about. Curling his lip, he did not want to respond.

“If others know you’re addressing someone in the Three Middle Realms as brother, you’ll be despised.” Xing Yue’s voice came again.

“I’m not looking for a lover. Why should my friend have the same background as I do?” He Shou asked, even though he didn’t want to have this conversation.

“Different class, different ways to think. You’ll be influenced.”

“Enough!”

“If you don’t watch your temper, you won’t achieve anything great.” Xing Yue was angry. She did not want to continue the conversation either.

Because the two had been talking through holy awareness, others could not hear them. However, Jiang Chen noticed the changes of their facial expressions. He was guessing what it was about.

“Your name is Jiang Chen? Apprentice Elder Brother He Shou and Elder Sister Xing Yue haven’t seen each other for a long time. Why don’t you move and let them sit together?” Miss Sunshine said as they were about to sit down. Her eyes were like two crescent moons. She seemed very gentle.

Nodding, Jiang Chen stepped back.

“Let’s sit here.” The girl told the others. Soon, all the seats next to He Shou and Xing Yue were taken. Jiang Chen had to sit in a corner.

Looking at Miss Sunshine’s innocent smile, Jiang Chen shrugged without saying anything. Slyness flashed in the girl’s eyes when she saw him walking to the corner to sit. Feeling guilty, He Shou wanted to call Jiang Chen over. At this moment, a group of Ancients walked in. They were the Silver Blood. They looked like normal people, except that a silver luster shined off their bodies. Their hair was also silver. Their leader was quite young, but very strong. His fighting power was as powerful as a sea wave. He emitted an oppressive energy while walking.

“You Genuine Heaven Religious Sect came without an invitation. I bet you must be lonely.” Throwing the people with He Shou a glance, he said disdainfully. If he had been an average person, these people would have jumped on him.

“You aren’t the host. You are guests. How come you are accusing us of coming without an invitation?” Raising his dashing eyebrow, He Shou spoke first.

His sibling disciples were immediately embarrassed. “Commander, you’re brave. However, I heard you had your tail between your legs when facing the Ancient Ape. And your men even died?” The Ancient called Yin Ye said, amused.

“You!” He Shou flew into a rage. He sprang to his feet. Xing Yue, next to him, stood up almost at the same time. She pulled his arm with her fair-skinned hand to stop him. Seeing this, He Shou’s apprentice elder brother Xiao Chengming also got to his feet.

“Yin Ye, my apprentice younger brother has a hot temper. Don’t take it to heart.”

He Shou flushed. If Xing Yue had not been pulling him, he would have lost his temper.

“It’s all right. I’ve been in the Nine Realms for one year. I’m used to how brutal the human race is.” Yin Ye shrugged his shoulders. He looked complacent.

Those from the Genuine Heaven Religious Sect looked at each other. They were surprisingly calm.

“It’s normal for bandits to boast of their force, but priding yourself on that is surprisingly shameless.” At this moment, Jiang Chen, sitting in the corner, said.

What he said charged the atmosphere in the hall with tension. The disciples of the Genuine Heaven Religious Sect all looked at him as if they were blaming him for making trouble.

Yin Ye looked over.

“He is not a disciple of the Genuine Heaven Religious Sect. Whatever he says or does doesn’t represent us,” Xing Yue said in a cold voice.

“He is my friend!” He Shou said in a deep voice.

“Shut up!” Apprentice Elder Brother Xiao Chengming scolded him. His eyes blazed with anger.

“I certainly don’t represent the Genuine Heaven Religious Sect,” Jiang Chen said. He did not say more, but everyone understood what he was implying. He disdained these timid people.

Walking slowly, Yin Ye came up to Jiang Chen. He squinted. His eyes were shining with coldness. “You are arrogant, aren’t you?” He said after a short time.

“So?” Jiang Chen said.

Yin Ye beamed. The luster his body gave off became strong. A fierce energy gushed out.

“Enough!”

At this moment, the Ancient Ape walked over under Sheng Tian’s lead. They were so oppressive that neither the Genuine Heaven Religious Sect nor the Silver Blood could breathe.

Yin Ye took his energy back. Staring at Sheng Tian, he said coldly, “Are you gonna turn against me for the human race’s sake?”

“If you want to fight, show your weapon. Stop attempting to blame me,” Sheng Tian said proudly.

Yin Ye hesitated for five or six seconds. Then, fluttering his sleeve, he gave up reluctantly.

Sheng Tian nodded at Jiang Chen. Then he went back to his seat.

“Hey, can you go and sit in some other place? You don’t like the Genuine Heaven Religious Sect anyway.” Miss Sunshine came up to Jiang Chen. She was saying aggressive things, but she looked as if she was the one being wronged, so that no one could be angry with her. However, under Jiang Chen’s gaze, the smile on her pretty face faded. She felt frustrated, as if she had been seen through.

Then Jiang Chen changed his seat silently. Almost at the same time, He Shou followed him and walked shoulder to shoulder with him, regardless of the dissuasion of his apprentice elder brother and Xing Yue.

Soon, the Holy Wings also showed up in the hall.
