Chapter 717 The Empress Regnant’s Enchanting Consort (49)
“I…” The system’s words faltered and it fell silent.
Bai Weiwei waited for a moment.
Only for the system to awkwardly say, “I actually eat a lot.”
Bai Weiwei: “?”
System: “I will eat a portion of your food in this plane without stealing snacks. The spicy strips are earned by me though.”
Bai Weiwei was blank for a while before she reacted. She smiled.
“I know, silly Tong.”
Because Bai Weiwei wanted to complete the task in one go, she decided to not make up reasons to coax Feng Yunian for the time being.
When an exciting event occurs, take it and roll with it!
From now on, abuse was enough.
Feng Yunian slept for a long time before he finally opened his eyes. He blinked his eyes in confusion and realized he was in the familiar palace.
He immediately sat up, panicked, “Your Majesty?”
Bai Weiwei didn’t leave him in the period that he fainted, right?
“Hmm…?”
A faint answer came from the window.
Feng Yunian hurriedly looked around and saw her sitting in a wheelchair with her long hair dangling casually, her profile pale and haggard; however, there was a touch of tenderness in the light.
Tenderness…
But when he looked again, there was only her beautiful but calm face.
Even her eyes were indifferent.
Feng Yunian couldn’t help smiling bitterly.
What else was he expecting? How could he expect her to have feelings for him?
He got out of bed, amazed at his body’s lightness, as if the previous poisoning was just an illusion.
Feng Yunian was full of doubts, “Your Majesty, I was clearly poisoned…how…”
Bai Weiwei said indifferently: “I saw your pitiful poisoning. Thinking that you did please me in the past, I asked the physician to use my life-saving medicine on you. The small poison must have been resolved.”
The effect of his poisonous needle was time-effective.
Bai Weiwei was able to speak again without applying the needle after a period of time.
Feng Yunian stared at her blankly. He would have collapsed because of her cold words.
But he just lowered his head before silently standing up, walking to her, and lifting her from the chair.
“Your Majesty, it’s too cold to open the window.”
His face was calm and his movements were gentle, as if he hadn’t been hurt by her.
He set her on the recliner, picked up the comb, and combed her hair.
“Your Majesty’s hair is growing again. It looks so beautiful.”
The ink-black hair was smooth as it glided across his fingertips.
He didn’t dare to look up as he gently combed and tied her hair.
Bai Weiwei squinted lazily, “What did you give me? I can’t move.”
Feng Yunian paused and looked up before averting his gaze again.
“It’s a kind of medicine that I originally created. It does no harm to the body, but it can deprive the body of physical strength for a long time.”
He couldn’t bear to use it with her for fear that it was too vicious.
But due to her powerful martial arts and that she was not afraid of poison, he gave her a large dose.
This was the only way he could keep her.
Bai Weiwei sneered, “I admit you are capable, to be able to develop such a tricky medicine.”
Feng Yunian pulled his hand away and the hair band slipped off his fingers.
He showed a sad expression and a needle appeared in between his fingers.
Bei Weiwei seemed to have eyes behind her head, “Why do you want me to be mute again?”
Feng Yunian’s fingers trembled violently, and the sadness in his eyes became more prominent.
He opened his mouth feeling like his heart was in more pain than when he was poisoned.
At least the poisoning was just pure physical pain. Her malicious dislike was a fatal blow to him.
Bei Weiwei calmly uttered, “Forget it. You’re the winner, and I’ll acknowledge it when I die.”
