Chapter 1270: Destined To Be Lonely For An Entire Lifetime

This joke made all of Gregory’s nerves tense up, his expression instantly lost control as he widened his eyes, staring firmly at Gu Mengmeng. His heart thumped so crazily that it felt as if it was going to come out from his throat and his heartbeat was deafening to the ears.

Gu Mengmeng was still poking the meat with her head lowered. She did not bother to look up at all so she did not know how exaggerated Gregory’s expression looked now. She just shook her head slightly and explained, “It has already been close to one month since the small rainy season started. Normally during this time….little shit will have arrived.”

Gregory instantly moved from the Mecca Desert’s heat to Motou Mountains’s bitter cold, his emotions experienced a roller coaster, making his eyelids exceptionally heavy. He hung his head and lowered it until his gaze landed on the bowl in front of him. His eyes turned hollow and not a single color could be seen in them. She just simply shook her head but why did it felt that the Motou Mountains shook and collapsed right before his eyes, the earth trembling and the mountains swaying.

She clearly said that she did not like him so much earlier and they were never going to see each other again after he left for the Motou Mountains eight days later. He was aware of everything but he still could not control his expectations…..he anticipated her to nod her head and admit that she could not bear for him to leave and that she wished that he could stay behind.

But what would change even if she said that? He would not stay behind.

Only a female who had inherited the Heart of the Desert could marry a vulture but Gu Mengmeng did not have the Heart of the Desert and the owner of the Heart of the Desert was not a female too.

He was destined to be lonely for an entire lifetime, right?

And since it was that case, she not liking him was a better result.

The reason why his heart went out of control was because he left the mountains for a long time, his discomfort was due to the difference in the air here and at the mountain top.

It’s fine, he would return to the Motou Mountains after eight days. Without Gu Mengmeng, his life would return to his normal calm days.

But…

How did he survive in the Motou Mountains in the past?

Why couldn’t he recall much of it recently?

Elvis and Lea caught all of Gregory’s expressions and they gave a knowing smile without exchanging any words.

Elvis hugged Gu Mengmeng’s shoulders and said, “If you want to see him, shall I send someone to the Snake King valley to find him?”

Gu Mengmeng shook her head and said, “Little Shit must be scared of me so he’s not coming…I don’t want to force him too. I feel sad seeing him trembling with fear in front of me.”

Gu Mengmeng lifted her head and looked at Elvis, saying, “But I miss him a lot. I feel that something is lacking when Little Shit is not here…tsk, I didn’t punch him for a long time, my hands are itchy.”

Elvis pinched Gu Mengmeng’s little face and said, “Punch me, I’m the Beast King now, I’m better at sustaining punches than him.”

Gu Mengmeng pouted and shook her head, saying, “You don’t even retaliate…that’s not called battling, that’s just a one-sided abuse, it’s family abuse. I don’t want it.”

Elvis sighed and scanned everyone there before landing his gaze on Gregory, suggesting, “Why don’t you punch him? Although he’s just a third-level beast, he cam from the Motou Mountains and he’s definitely stronger than ordinary third-level orcs. He look like he can resist punches well too…”

Gu Mengmeng followed Elvis’s gaze and also landed her gaze on Gregory. She shook her head and declined, “I still want to punch Little Shit…”

Gu Mengmeng lowered her head and continued poking her meat, muttering, “Little Shit won’t hide from me for his entire life, will he….”

Elvis rubbed Gu Mengmeng’s little head and said, “No, he won’t. He’s not such a coward snake.”
