Chapter 1274: Cleaning Up The Portal

An interrogating question instantly distanced them.

Gu Mengmeng had the abilities of a Beast King so no matter how much she was restricted by her body condition to not exert all her strength, it was not something a third-level orc could withstand.

Because things happened too suddenly, Gu Mengmeng did not notice the strength she exerted because she was worried for Ian’s hand. In the end, her push injured Gregory quite seriously.

His throat was filled with the sweet taste of rusty blood. He clenched his teeth hard and did not allow any blood in his mouth to show as he forced himself to swallow the mouthful of blood back.

“Cleaning up the portal.” Gregory said with his teeth clenched.

Gu Mengmeng maintained her defensive stance towards Gregory, glaring straight at him. Preparing to retaliate anytime, she tilted her head slightly and instructed, “Lea, treat Ian’s injury.”

“Yeah.” Lea stepped forward and pulled Ian over, pushing him down to a stone chair. Then, from the stone castle, he took out a fish bone needle and sewing string made out of intestines to start sewing Ian’s injury.

Although Ian looked sick all the time, he was once the Eagle-owl tribe’s leader so his self-esteem was relatively high. When Lea poked the needle with the string through his flesh, he did not ounce in pain despite having perspiration dotting his entire forehead. He just clenched his fists tight and said, “I was the one who gave the order to leave Motou Mountains and I was also the one who went against the oath. The tribesmen from the Eagle-owl tribe only listened to their tribe leader’s command. I deserve to receive this punishment. If it’s not enough, you can come at me all you want.”

“Come at you my foot!” Gu Mengmeng did not even bother to turn her head as she stared intently at Gregory in defense, saying, “The Eagle-owl tribe belongs to Saint Nazaire so all of them belong to me now. If you want to touch them, you must for my consent first.”

Gregory felt that the mouthful of blood that he just swallowed was boiling magma, if not, why did it scorch the path from his gullet to his chest as if piping hot oil was poured in him?

In the ordinary course of events, he should had replied Gu Mengmeng in an exceptionally arrogant tone, “This matter belongs to the Birds, it’s not for you to intervene as you wish.”

If Gu Mengmeng insisted on defending Ian, he would had continuously launch attacks against Ian before he breathed his last until one party dies.

But…

The sentence that was stuck at his throat was, “If he belongs to you, what about me? What am I?”

But he could not bring himself to say it because he knew that it was bringing disgrace to his own head.

But that heart in his left chest that felt as if it was being rubbed against a hot pot without oil made him so painful that he did not know what to do.

Gregory’s pupils were instantly streaked with blood as he could not move his gaze away from Gu Mengmeng’s face at all. The question that he wanted to ask but could not ask was held at his throat and it was exceptionally tough for him to even breathe now.

Lea was able to handle this kind of external injury with ease as he had a high degree of professional proficiency.

When Gregory and Gu Mengmeng were stuck in a standstill while glaring at each other, Lea had finished sewing Ian’s injury up.

After washing his hands, he hugged Gu Mengmeng’s waist and grinned, saying, “Oh my, why are you throwing such a huge temper? Why can’t we talk things over nicely and not talk about hitting and killing? Moreover, your males are still alive, when is it your turn to mention such crude words like hitting others? Hmm? Sit back obediently and I’ll handle it.”

Gu Mengmeng took two steps back and sat next to Ian. Looking at the wound sewn up by Lea, she felt bad as she commented, “You just mated and you’re disfigured…I don’t know how Mandy would blame me later on.”

Ian did not appreciate her kindness as he sneered and said, “What disfigured? I’m a male, this small injury will heal by tomorrow, it won’t leave any scars at all.”

Lea walked to Gregory and patted his shoulder, smiling as he said, “Are you still alright?”
