Chapter 223: Gun thief (3)
“This is sweet.”
“Yeah, this one’s good. We’ll get a bad hangover though.”
The liquor they were enjoying wasn’t whiskey. It was a liquor made from the fruit from a Tria tree. The fruit itself was very popular for its good taste.
“Yeah. It looks like it has high alcohol percentage too,” Jinpok commented. His nose was already red from drinking.
“It has a good smell too. I think these will sell well if we bring it back.”
“Right. If we advertise it well and bring it to the capital…”
As Jinpok began explaining his plans, Joonbum laughed. Jinpok then narrowed his eyes.
“What? What’s with that face?”
“Haha, no. Let’s just hand it over to Ress. We don’t have to do it on our own.”
Jinpok nodded.
“Yeah, you’re right. We don’t need any more money.”
Jinpok then took up a bottle and drank more. He then picked up some Duran jerky. It tasted really good. The Duran jerky had a distinctive taste that Jinpok and Joonbum both loved.
Then they heard noises outside the door before it was opened. A cool breeze swept inside the room. It was the boys named Victor and Hessen who worked at the inn.
“Guests! Guests are coming!”
“We have guests! We must be ready!”
“What’s going on?”
Waitresses who were glancing at Joonbum and Jinpok stood up immediately.
“Guests…”
Victor and Hessen told them about their discovery and waitresses began moving up and down the inn to prepare. The kitchen became busy and the calm, quiet atmosphere changed immediately. Waitresses began putting up makeup and fixed their clothing to reveal more skin.
“They’re here.”
“Yeah.”
Jinpok blurted out as he chewed on the jerky.
“They have nowhere to run.”
“Haha,” Joonbum laughed.
‘Who would’ve guessed that we had a locator chip?’
They also had drones to scout from the air. The fastest messaging system here with the birds. Joonbum’s modern technology was beyond imagination for these people. As they drank more, men walked into the inn.
“Idiots.”
“Haha, don’t say that.”
“Look, they think they succeeded. As if they used their own skills.”
“Yeah, they did well if you think about it. They just didn’t have enough technology.”
“That’s why they shouldn’t have picked a fight with us,” Jinpok growled quietly.
“They’re looking.”
“Oops, sorry. I just don’t like those God-believers.”
“Oh.”
Jinpok was especially against the Horuns. It was hard for him to understand why people would believe in a religion when there was no proof of its existence. Also, Horun was too corrupt at this point that there was no hope for them.
-We will divide into small groups…-
“Hah, they think that will work.”
Jinpok spat and Joonbum smirked. They arrived at the inn three days ago. They didn’t have to follow them as they knew where these people were going. Joonbum and Jinpok were trying to sack their base so they were loosely following them around. The first thing they did when arriving at the inn was to install bugs. They just needed to press the button inside their pockets to hear what was being said at the tables.
They heard the men talking to themselves about finding out who they were and when they came. That was it. After a while, a waitress explained that Joonbum and Jinpok arrived three days ago. It was told as they had asked the women to describe them. The waitresses were given good tips beforehand and it was a breeze. Max seemed to lose interest quickly and moved up the stairs with the waitress named Jamie. Then more women who heard the news of the visitors came to the inn.
“Women!”
Men who were already heavily drunk shouted in excitement and called to the women. There were plenty of village women, either the widows or the poor came out to earn some quick money.
“They are done.”
“Yeah.”
“They relaxed too much, way too fast.”
It was their territory already. They did not suspect any problems with their plans.
“We should get ready too.”
“Sure, let’s go.”
