Chapter 363: A New Danger (3)

A powerful explosion destroyed living beings into pieces. The insect-shaped monster also shattered part of its body and yellow ooze splattered from inside.

“They are fighting back, sir.”

“They use strange weapons.”

Strange beams of light shot out from their weapons and struck the castle walls, destroying a huge chunk each time.

‘Is it a laser?’

Lee Chulmin frowned. It seemed like enemies were using highly advanced weapons.

“Fire!”

Cannons fired again and the enemy line was destroyed yet again. But the monsters that survived hid behind ruins and rocks. They especially did not die from mere arrows.

“Their armor is too strong.”

“It’s better than what we are using!”

That’s when they saw the arrows being deflected. All generals including Lee Chulmin became shocked.

“I-is that a shield?”

“That’s something.”

Monsters were shooting out with their left arms and a transparent blue barrier of energy was forming ahead of them to act like a shield. It easily deflected all arrows.

“There’s more incoming!” one of the generals shouted. The gate churned again and otherworldy beings started coming up more. These groups were now moving at a much faster pace with powerful energy barrier to plant themselves in.

“I think they are coming in prepared now.”

“Get the civilians evacuated immediately. Request reinforcement and let the HQ know what’s happening here. We have to keep them here.”

“Yes, sir!”

All generals began to move and the war waged on.

“Whoa, look at that. That’s like a moving castle wall! It’s movable barrier!”

“It’s amazing.”

“We should take it from them and research it.”

“That will be a big threat to our allies.”

They were holding the enemies at bay, but that was only because these monsters weren’t pushing in strongly. They seemed to be in a very orderly fashion and slowly pushing in gradually while trying to cut down casualties.

‘At least we have one of our own special kind of weapons,’ Lee Chulmin thought as he thought about the goblins that were now rooted deeply into their world. Not only that, but they also had powerful allies called dragons. These races were once considered monsters but now were very powerful allies that could work with them if needed. Besides, goblins were highly reproductive races that produced over 20 babies per individual, requiring only 14 months to be fully grown. They also lived in all kinds of environments, even in deep underground caves.

However, these enemies were powerful, and Khalodian still had their weapons to use if needed.
