Chapter 2673: Out I

With the nine-colored matter in my hand, I did not waste any time in retreating; I had obtained everything I could from this ruin, and now there is no need for me to stay in it.

If I could leave directly through this place, I could have done it already, but the space here is restricted, and those restrictions are so powerful that even Grand Lord wouldn't be able to break them.

It would have been amazing if I could take a white disc with ancient runes; I am sure it is a wonderful treasure, but it is connected to the whole ruin and if I tried to take it, it might trigger something that would kill me on my spot.

Click!

It took me a second to get out of the stairs before I pulled out the door and walked out of the huge red-orb building. I once again looked at the face of the titan, which was still blurry and made me bow before I could stop myself.

I pulled my head up and began to walk down the stairs; I moved as fast as I could, despite everything looking fine.

I have come to many ruins, and my experience has told me that I shouldn't tarry, especially when I get the most important thing. Almost always, something happens, and every moment, I was expecting something would happen.

Everything seemed fine; I did not see any problem when I reached the base of the statue; while it made me feel relieved, I did not let my guard down.

Hun

I stopped at the last stair for a moment before taking a step down, preparing myself for the immense suppression that would take all my strength, but to my utter surprise, the suppression I was expecting to feel had never come.

I did not feel any suppression I was expecting to feel, not even a shred of it; the only thing I felt was the familiar compulsion to bow and the first energy that was targeting the steles.

Soon, the surprise morphed into a smile, and I disappeared from my spot toward the door, which I reached by the end of the minutes. Earlier, it had taken me hours to cross the distance between the door and the statue, and now, only a minute.

I really don't want to leave this place; the first energy here is extremly rich; it will benefit me immensely if I comprehended for only a few hours, but I am feeling uncomfortable with the jitters I am having, which is telling me that the things could go bad at any moment.

Click!

With the expression of unwillingness, I opened the door before stepping outside, though not before activating my defenses to the limit. If there is a Grimm on the other side, I want to be prepared against its attacks.

Step!

I stepped into the other side and saw no Grimms, which disappointed me, honestly. I spent a lot of time and effort manipulating the formations, and it felt bad seeing they have not come to use. I wouldn't have minded fighting a Grimm, especially one with the bloodline.

I waved my hand and collected all the resources on the formation; not only resources but also collected the painted dried formation.

The formation ink is high-Grandmaster level stuff, made of precious materials. It had its uses, even when it had turned dry.

I collected it all before turning to the seven doors; six, considering the white door is out of the question, the bridge had collapsed, going there means death, but others also did not provide me much solace either.

I had already chosen the door; it is the blue one. It is the door through which the Grimms have come and the one they have planned to return from; as I have seen the signs of Grimms copying the runes on the door, no other door had those signs.

My clone had already solved the formation, and I just waved the prepared formation; it came out and flew toward it before sticking into it.

Buzz!

A couple of seconds later, the runes on the door buzzed before disappearing; the door was now free for me to open.

My hands shook as I gripped the door; I could still remember the collapsing bridge and how close I was to falling into that hole, which had seemed endless.

Click!

The door opened with a click, and I stepped to the other side; when I saw what was on the other side, I shook. The other side is an exact copy of the place where I went a few hours ago.

It is also vast and filled with formation, and also there is a long bridge, but unlike that place, the formation here is complete, and I did not see any damage on the bridge. The small building beside the door also seemed in good condition, but I did not walk toward it.

I could see the aura of Grimms all over it, and since they looted the building and I killed them, I will find what they have taken when I inspect their storage later.

I looked at the bridge and did not want to walk on it, and if I had any other options and time, I would have walked out of their door, but I do not have time, and there are high chances that the other doors contain something like it and they might not be in good condition as this place.

'I should not waste any time,' I said to myself and took a step into the bridge and stopped for a moment before beginning to walk on it when I saw no shake or vibration appearing.

I was walking on the bridge, but my speed was very fast that by the end of the minute, I would reach the other side. I could go faster, but I did not want to take the risk, and not to mention, at this speed, I could record that vast formation.

Thud!

I landed on the base on the other side; I immediately sat down after recording the formation and started to break it with my clone while Ashlyn and Nero watched over me.

The formation is hard, but I am solving it very fast speed; it seems like that great puzzle had boosted my confidence and knowledge, or this might be just a fluke, but I don't think so.

Buzz!

It took me forty-four minutes to solve the formation, and a minute after that, the formation came out and stuck on the door before activating.

Click!

I pulled the door as the runes disappeared and walked outside; as I did, I was stumped.

"Shit!"

I cursed; the whole place was in shambles for some reason. The walls are cracked, debris is flying, and spatial tears floating around, destroying everything that came into their paths.

These spatial tears are so strong that they will cut through me like a hot knife cut through butter.

Hun!

I was just looking around when a spatial tear came toward me really fast; all my boosts activated in an instant, and I disappeared from my spot and appeared over a huge piece of stony debris, with a look of surprise on my face.

I have really controlled my power precisely; though I have very good control over my strength, it became slightly loose when I leveled up; this time, I barely felt that loose feeling.

I like to know the answer as it will be extremly helpful to me, but I decided not to think about it, as the most important thing to me is getting out of this place; as this place is collapsing by second and more and scarier tears appearing.

In a few minutes, it will become a complete death zone, and I will have to get out before that happens.
