“You took quite a lot of time to return,” I said as I stepped out in front of it, “Humph! I was making the final preparation to bury you,” It harrumphed.

“Last time, you were not able to do anything; this time, too, it wouldn’t be much different,” I replied with a smile, which brought the biggest ever scowl on the face of old snake’s face, “But go on, I want to what kind of amazing plan, you have made in these past few hours to kill me,” I taunted.

This time, there was barely any anger appeared on the Grimms face; instead, a wild grin appeared on its face as the powerful aura exploded out of it.

Seeing the aura, I couldn’t help but become surprised; it had released all its power like it did last time when it had fought against me.

It immediately made me cautious as I kept my cards close to activate at a moment’s notice.

“Vestige of the curse,”

It shouted, and thick black-red energies shot out of its body; they were thick and spread wide, instantly covering miles before they began to turn into the domain.

A world of black formed around me before the red buildings began to construct very fast; these were not buildings, but spires, with very pointy tops, which gave off a very dangerous feeling. It is not just spires that formed, but also other type of buildings, such as temples and wells, which seemed to be filled with dangerous boiling curses.

The one thing that raised all the hair on my body was a chandelier made of the spiky crystalized curse.

‘What a domain!’ I said, fully impressed; it is also a realized domain, just like that of Aege, but there is a huge difference in these domains.

The domain of the old snake is far more refined, which is not surprising considering the old snake had centuries of refining it while Aege did not even know its domain fully.

“Quite a domain, old snake,” I praised; there is no need to discriminate, even if it is an enemy. Even among the Grand Lords, it is one of the best domains and deserves praise.

My praise seemed to have caught the old snake off guard, but it quickly smoothed its expressions and turned to me.

“Sugary words will not save you from me, Zaar.” “Today, not even your dead body will leave this place,” it declared, and its aura peaked again, going even slightly above than what I thought was the peak.

“I have never used this move on humans; it my greatest trump card that even the strongest Grand Lord will look with caution,” it said before its expression turned serious.

“Grand Viper of Etaras!”

It said with all its might, and when it said its name, a strange fluctuation came out, something I have sensed before but could not believe the old snake would have, considering its nature.

A moment after it called its name, a grand viper materialized begin the old snake; it is above two hundred meters along, and its mouth begins enough to swallow ten of me.

It also has lustrous red scales and eyes that are blacker than night; they gave me the same feeling as the phantom, but it is not a phantom.

The old snake clearly had an inheritance, but this viper had been formed of divinity; it is very hard to contact the divine, much less receive its blessing; I have only come once against such Grimms, and that was a long time ago.

“Now, you have seen it; it is time for you to die, Michael Zaar!” said the old snake, and that huge viper came at me.

SHARRRR!

The viper screamed as it came, and its scream was similar to the snake, but it held a strange power, which crashed through my defenses and hit my soul, making it shudder and giving me the pain; that threatened to black me out, that I resisted with everything I have. I couldn’t afford to blank out even for a moment, or this viper would eat me alive.

I activated all my soul defenses; earlier, they worked, reducing the power of the attack; by its fifth, now they will work even better.

Its scream hadn’t fully disappeared when it appeared in front of me, crossing a little more than a mile in an instant, and it did not stop. Instead, it opened its mouth, wanting to swallow me whole.

BANNNG

‘It is not easy,’ I said inside me, and that very moment, whole red teeth clashed against my shields of roses, which are being powered up at full power of all my three boots.

As the viper’s mouth cracked and shed against my shield, they materialized and lighted up like a sun as they shook under the might of the viper.

Last time, the old snake was not able to snake light up my shields at such brightness, and this time, it not only lighted up but also shook them as the full power of its maw crashed on my shields, wanting to tear them apart, but it was not able to do that.

A clear surprise appeared on the old snake’s face seeing that; I wished I could laugh at that, but I was not in the mood to do that.

A single attack had shown me the might of the viper, and the thing it had only used physical force, not the divine power of the curse element, which every part of the curse is made of, and despite all my immunity, it is giving me a very bad feeling.

SHARRRR!

It removed its teeth from my shields and glowered at me with those nightmarish eyes that I did not dare to look directly at before screaming; the sound was louder, and its effect was greater than the last scream, able to crush more than half of my defenses.

Still, by the time its scream had reached the last defense, it all but disappeared.

The viper stared at me for a second after its scream, but its huge body began to glow in sanguine light, and it swept its tail at me; it had happened so fast that I had only noticed it when it appeared by my shield.

BANNNNNG!

Its huge tail crashed against my shields with such force I had never experienced before; it shook me despite being inside the shields, which lit up like a bright sun as the force hit them, and vast divine power came at them.

Crack Crack Crack

The moment after the crash of the tail, the cracking sound began to ring out to my horror.

It is extremely difficult to crack my shields; new Grand Lords could forget that, even among the old, only half has the power. I did not think the old snake had it; it is not pure offensive Grimms; its power lies in curses, which I could defend well against.

Now, it proven me wrong.

No wonder it deployed the domain, despite the drain it cost; nobody would want to reveal such a powerful killing move to enemies.

I looked at the cracks that appeared on all the shields and spreading, and it was not just the powerful physical force responsible for that but also the divine energy of the curse element that had filled my shields.
