Chapter 1229: The Mysterious Little Boy
No matter how you looked at it, a little child drawing circles on the streets in an empty city like this was a bizarre occurrence.
Sun Yuluo reminded himself over and over again of An Lin’s teachings. A sword immortal should face their fears and conquer them!
Thus, he stood before An Lin and Da Bai before pulling out his snowy-white longsword with trembling hands. He pointed at the small child drawing circles on the ground and yelled to instill courage within himself, “You over there, why are you vandalizing the streets?!”
An Lin and Da Bai: “…”
Why did they feel like there was something wrong with this method of interrogation?
The small child’s hands abruptly faltered.
He slowly stood up and turned around. To their surprise, the little boy in yellow, linen garments had a set of particularly fine and delicate features.
“Big brother…” The little boy’s ethereal voice was intermingled with a hoarse huskiness.
Sun Yuluo shuddered in fear. “D… don’t come over here! If you come any closer… I-I’ll cut you down!”
A deathly silence ensued.
The little boy stood rooted to the spot like a statue, not even blinking anymore.
It was as if he had actually been completely immobilized.
Sun Yuluo was greatly startled by this. He warned the little boy not to move, and the little boy really stayed still? What a cooperative little boy!
Right at this moment, the little boy’s eyes gradually began to bulge.
Splat…
Blood splattered everywhere as his two eyeballs tumbled to the ground, leaving two gruesome eyes sockets from which tears of blood flowed relentlessly.
“Ah… My eyes fell out…” A strange smile suddenly appeared on the little boy’s face.
Sun Yuluo felt as if his heart had forgotten how to beat as he stared blankly at the scene before him with his mouth gaped wide open.
“Ah… Ah!”
Sun Yuluo finally began to scream, and he almost dropped his sword as he stumbled back before holding tightly onto Da Bai.
“Let go of me, you scaredy-cat! You’re choking me, woof!” Da Bai roared with rage.
An Lin was also given a fright by the little boy’s bizarre display, but did it really warrant a response as vehement as Sun Yuluo’s?
That scream was probably several hundred decibels, and just the soundwaves alone could be regarded as shockwaves.
Even the little boy was startled by Sun Yuluo’s reaction and temporarily forgot how to talk.
“Hehe… Hehe… Fun…”
The little boy seemed to have found an interesting toy as he picked up his eyeballs and reattached them into their sockets before turning to look at Sun Yuluo with excitement on his face.
Sun Yuluo felt like he had been laughed at by a ghost, and he immediately flared up with rage as he unleashed a sword strike. “Take this!”
The dazzling sword swept through the air.
The little boy met Sun Yuluo’s longsword with a bare hand and a wide grin on his face.
Bam!
Crack…
Right before Sun Yuluo’s astonished eyes, the longsword in his hand crashed into the little boy’s hand, upon which a sharp screeching sound erupted alongside a flurry of sparks before the longsword snapped in half!
“How… how could this be? My sword is a spirit sword!” Sun Yuluo’s eyes widened with shock.
Excitement flashed through the little boy’s eyes, and he abruptly opened his mouth, upon which a crimson tongue shot forth like a pouncing viper before instantly entangling itself around Sun Yuluo’s neck.
Sun Yuluo’s entire body was struck by a slimy and slippery sensation along with the extremely terrifying power of dark frost, and he began to scream again.
“Save me, Sword Immortal An Lin! Why is this tongue so long and so slippery? I’m so scared! Waah…”
Sun Yuluo’s legs trembled, and tears welled up in his eyes as the tongue wound itself tightly around his neck.
He frantically attacked the little boy’s long tongue with his sword, but he discovered that he was unable to put so much as a single scratch on the tongue, as if he were attacking some sort of superalloy material.
“Heeheehee… Hehe…” The little boy looked at Sun Yuluo with a wide grin, as if he found it very interesting that Sun Yuluo was on the brink of soiling himself from fear.
An Lin and Da Bai were both struck with the realization that things were not as simple as they seemed, and they immediately pounced.
“Stop! Woof!”
“F*ck off!”
Da Bai and An Lin attacked in unison.
The silver wind domain swept toward the little boy in a frenzy.
An Lin drew his Evil-Slaying Sword at the same time, and a monstrous, black sword projection erupted forth.
The little boy’s expression shifted, and he evaded An Lin’s attack through the use of wraith-like movement techniques while holding on tightly to Sun Yuluo’s neck with his tongue the entire time.
Sun Yuluo was unable to escape as his neck had been tightly bound, and his eyes rolled over into the back of his head from an inability to breathe, looking as if he was about to die.
Da Bai’s domain descended upon the little boy’s body, but he was unable to inflict any damage upon him.
“Release Sun Yuluo at once!” a loud roar erupted from a distance away.
A few blue-robed figures began to appear before pouncing toward the little boy.
“Are those the six disciples from the Heavenly Sword Sect? Why are they here? Is this a coincidence?” An Lin’s expression shifted minutely.
A disdainful expression appeared on the little boy’s face as he spat out a few globules of saliva in quick succession.
The saliva transformed into sharp, crimson swords that pierced through the air at extreme speed.
“Be careful!” Zhao Siming cautioned in a loud voice as he parried the crimson saliva sword hurtling toward him.
Boom boom boom…
A series of resounding booms erupted.
The terrifying power behind the saliva swords knocked back the Heavenly Sword Sect disciples that had just arrived.
“No one can save him. He’s mine.” The little boy chuckled.
Sun Yuluo was about to cry upon hearing this, and he roared with an indignant expression, “There are so many people here, why do you insist on targeting me?”
The little boy cocked his head to the side. “Because you’re scared of ghosts.”
Sun Yuluo’s mouth gaped open with shock.
This ghost liked to bully him just because he was scared of ghosts?
What a detestable little boy!
An Lin charged toward the little boy again, and a light suddenly flashed from the inky-black blade of his Evil-Slaying Sword, upon which an extremely adorable little girl with chubby cheeks wearing a black dress appeared.
Little Xie pounced toward the little boy at an even faster speed than An Lin, and her chubby little hands shot forth toward the little boy’s tongue like lightning as an excited smile appeared on her face.
“Ah…!” The little boy experienced fear for the first time at the sight of Little Xie.
He immediately unwound his tongue from around Sun Yuluo’s neck, and he tried to retract it, only to find that Little Xie had gripped tightly onto his tongue, making it impossible for him to struggle free.
“Heehee…” An innocent smile appeared on Little Xie’s face as her eyes flashed with curiosity and excitement.
A ferocious expression appeared on the little boy’s face, and he suddenly severed his tongue with his teeth!
After severing his tongue, he immediately fled into the distance as fast as a bolt of lightning.
Little Xie faltered for a moment as she held onto the little boy’s long tongue and looked on as he fled into the distance. She knew that she wouldn’t be able to catch up to him now, and her adorable cheeks puffed out with rage.
“Ah…”
Another scream erupted.
Little Xie turned to discover Sun Yuluo pointing at her with a set of deathly pale features while trembling uncontrollably. “What kind of ghost is this?”
“Is this a higher level ghost?”
“Save me, Sword Immortal An Lin!”
Little Xie: “…”
An Lin: “…”
