Chapter 1518: An Mingchuan’s Situation

Emperor Bei Xing had fallen.

An Lin, the Celestial Thearch, Xu Xiaolan, and the others made their way back to Nan Chao City.

Zhu Xuze and Situ Feng kept stealing glances at An Lin and the Celestial Thearch. They were clearly extremely curious, but they didn’t know where to start.

The Celestial Thearch made a thoughtful gesture of providing an explanation of past events for them.

The two Vermilion Bird Sect super mighty figures were stunned by his story.

“So one day in that space is equivalent to a year in our world?” Zhu Xuze was astonished.

“There are probably many opportunities in that place waiting to be discovered. It’s a pity you guys couldn’t remain there a bit longer.” An expression of yearning appeared on Situ Feng’s face.

The Celestial Thearch had thought about this before. After all, who wouldn’t like a place where the rate of cultivation was several hundred times that of the outside world? There was still fear lingering in his heart when he thought back to this…

He had been quite tempted to stay there until the image of the Kingdom of the Nine States rolled around in the river of time again. However, by the time that happened, the Kingdom of the Nine States would have probably ceased to exist!

An Lin wasn’t able to improve his cultivation base in that strange space, but he could at least hone his current set of spell techniques, which was exactly what he did. His Sky Sealing Technique was an example of the spell techniques he had refined during his time there.

From a cultivation environment perspective, that place really was an ideal place.

However, the time disparity simply made it implausible to stay there for an extended period of time.

Speaking of which, it has been a hundred years… I wonder how Dad’s doing…

Prior to coming to the southern front, Xiaolan had mentioned An Mingchuan during their brief stay at the Four Nine Immortal Sect. An Mingchuan was now a Soul Formation Stage powerful being. He was also one of the most powerful cultivators on Earth and was revered by countless people.

Xu Xiaolan didn’t tell An Mingchuan the truth about An Lin. All she said was that An Lin had gone to cultivate in another world with the Celestial Thearch and that she didn’t know when they would be back.

All of the Heavenly Court cultivators who descended into the mortal world also kept this a secret.

Thus, a hundred years passed in the blink of an eye.

An Mingchuan was completely oblivious to the situation and continued on his journey to becoming Great Sword Immortal An…

The cultivation prodigy on Earth, Tian Lingling, had also progressed to the Soul Formation Stage. Apparently, she had even become a loli goddess on Earth.

Who said petite girls with no chest couldn’t become goddesses?

Tian Lingling showed the cultivation world that anything was possible as long as your cultivation base was powerful enough!

She was still captivating no matter what her outward appearance!

An Lin listened to Xu Xiaolan’s story, and he couldn’t help but chuckle in amusement. Xu Xiaolan was the true captivating goddess. The Divine Phoenix Maiden was now the undisputed number one goddess of the Kingdom of the Nine States, taking the title from Chang’e.

Of course, Xu Xiaolan would still have some competition if Chang’e progressed to the Dao Integration Stage someday.

As for Tian Lingling, An Lin had let her develop for a hundred years, and she was still a loli! Ptui, no, she was still a Soul Formation Stage cultivator! How disappointing!

An Lin and the others returned to Nan Chao City.

The battlefield was in the process of being cleaned up.

Emperor Chang Sheng was tallying everything up while everyone else was either recovering bodies, picking up weapons and resources, or treating wounded comrades. Everything progressed in a fast-paced yet orderly fashion.

Everyone put down what they were doing when they saw the figures flying over from afar.

All three million cultivators bowed at the same time.

“Welcome back, Celestial Thearch!”

“Welcome back, Sect Leader An Lin!”

Their voices erupted into the heavens.

Many of the cultivators had tears shimmering in their eyes.

They had used the simplest of words to express their utmost reverence.

If it weren’t for the Celestial Thearch and An Lin falling from the heavens, they would have most likely all perished, and the southern front would’ve fallen as a result.

Even An Lin was feeling emotional upon seeing this.

He was just about to say something when the Celestial Thearch bowed to all of the cultivators before them. “I’m sorry!”

An Lin faltered momentarily.

The Celestial Thearch continued, “I’m sorry for the hardships all of you had to endure in the past few decades. I am the Celestial Thearch, but I disappeared for a hundred years. Words cannot even begin to express my guilt and shame… Next, I’m going to erase the Heavenly Human Tribe from our world and avenge all of our fallen brethren!”

Upon hearing this, tears began to flow from the eyes of all of the cultivators gathered.

“Long live, the Celestial Thearch!”

“Long live, the Celestial Thearch!”

“Long live, the Celestial Thearch…”

All of the cultivators yelled at the top of their lungs.

Ever since the Heavenly Human Tribe appeared in this world, the Kingdom of the Nine States had been in constant peril, and everyone felt like they were slowly but surely sinking into an abyss of despair. In dark times like these, it had been a long time since they felt so elated!

The Celestial Thearch’s emergence was like a flame in the abyss, reigniting the fighting spirit in the hearts of all of the cultivators!

The Celestial Thearch stood in mid-air with his imperial robe flapping in the wind. He clasped his hands behind his back, raised his head, and puffed out his chest with a calm expression.

An Lin’s lips twitched slightly. Why was he getting such a strong sense of deja vu?

Xu Xiaolan made her way over to An Lin before poking his arm and speaking to him in a quiet voice, “The Celestial Thearch looks a lot like you when he’s delivering speeches.”

An Lin: “…”

He finally knew where this accursed sense of deja vu was coming from!

He was seeing a mirror image of himself!

After a rousing speech, the three million cultivators continued with what they were doing.

Emperor Chang Sheng received a report from the northern front.

When the Heavenly Human Tribe army had heard about the Divine Phoenix Maiden’s arrival on the southern front, they immediately mobilized their army to launch a surprise attack, only for the Great Empress, Meng Zhi, and Shangguan Yi to pop up out of nowhere and inflict upon them an extremely heavy loss.

The Heavenly Human Tribe had been completely unsettled, and all of their armies fell back in case more mysterious mighty figures began to pop up.

Everyone was ecstatic upon hearing this.

After a brief discussion, An Lin and the others decided to continue south after a brief period of recuperation in order to reinforce the Snake Spirit Clan and annihilate the Heavenly Human Tribe army there.

The Starfire Battleship and Emperor Chang Sheng were going to station themselves at Nan Chao City.

Meanwhile, the Celestial Thearch, Zhu Xuze, and Situ Feng were to accompany An Lin as part of his southern front extermination team!

An Lin swallowed an immortal pill before sitting down to meditate in order to recover his energy and injuries as quickly as possible.

He knew that an even more terrifying battle awaited them.

They had trump cards here, but the Heavenly Human Tribe would also inevitably have trump cards of their own.

The Divine Heaven Stage Heavenly Human Tribe powerful being as well as the Heavenly God…

They were going to be the main obstacles standing in An Lin’s way. All he could do now was to rest and recuperate in preparation for the massive upcoming battle!

A woman with short, white hair and in a blue dress made her way over to An Lin. A bell tinkled on her waist, creating quite a crisp, pleasant sound.

An Lin opened his eyes, and a hint of surprise appeared on his face.
