It took not more than 24 hours for Jia Li's house to be fixed, and the next day after it was fixed, she moved in with the servant and Old Mr. Fu who didn't feel at ease with leaving her out of his sight.

As for the rest, they would come over in the morning and go back to the villa in the evening of every day.

Jia Li's house was decorated with white linings as a sign of mourning.

For security, there were soldiers standing guard outside the house and in the neighborhood.

According to the arrangements, Fu Hua helped Jia Li to send out letters to her parents work place, announcing the death and funeral date for them.

For the four days set out to mourn Mr. and Mrs. Qin, people visited from their workplace, around the neighborhood, and friends as well.

Jia Li's friends and coursemates were not an exception.  After DanDan learned of the demise of Jia Li's parents, she helped her to inform her circle of friends and also to organize them to pay a confidence visit.

The day Jia Li's friends visited, they spent a longer time than the others. They also contributed something to help with the Funeral.

Jia Li wanted to refuse them, but DanDan passed the envelope to her, saying it was the least they could do to offer their last respect to her parents.

The others echoed the same words in agreement.

Hearing them put the words that way, Jia Li couldn't refuse them.

On the second to the last day of the condolence visit, somebody came. It was Li Huang.

He came to visit with his mother.

The other time after speaking with his mother, he called Jia Li but didn't know what to say to her.

Feeling that she would be grieved, he kept their conversation short. He consoled her and spoke some words of encouragement. Then lastly, he said he would be back to see her.

Although there had been some little developments between them, still, they were not too close for him to be asking her questions.

Questions like the relationship she had with the people that were helping her. Even if he was curious, he had to swallow the curiosity as it was not the right time to ask those questions.

Because of Grandfather Fu's presence, Li Huang and his mother did not stay long.

Before leaving, Mrs. Li said to Jia Li, "Jia Li in the future if you need anything, don't hesitate to come to me or Li Huang, after all, you two have known each other for a long time."

"Thank you, Aunty." Jia Li said as she managed a smile.

She had other things to think about than to hear the ambiguous meaning in Mrs. Li's words.

Mrs. Li could sense the people behind Jia Li were not simple and one to joke with. She felt that if she didn't remind Jia Li that she could ask for their help, the latter would totally rely on her backers and forget they were still existing.

And if Jia Li forgets about them, how was her son going to get close to her and marry her after that?

So Mrs. Li felt it was right to chip in those words, but unfortunately, Jia Li did not get the hidden meaning of her words, but instead, it was Old Mr. Fu that understood it.

He furrowed his brows when he heard that simple yet ambiguous words. He didn't see Mrs. Li as a threat to the plans he had, but it would be best if he removed any form of barrier.

Right there, Grandfather Fu began to plot how to convince Jia Li to leave with him after the funeral.

He already had in mind to get his grandson to marry her long before this incident happened. And even if the situation was not good right now, that didn't mean he would abort his plans.

The next day, which was the last day of condolences visit, an unexpected visitor came. She was Jia Li's Aunt and a sister to Jia Li's late father, Mu Keer.

When Mu Keer arrived, there were tears in her eyes and she was holding unto the hands of her young teenage children.

Tears and snorts could be seen on their faces.

"Jia Li, please forgive your uncle, he didn't do it on purpose. Please forgive him and release him for the prison, he is suffering and they wouldn't let me see him." Mu Keer pleaded with Jia Li as she knelt in front of her.

"Aunty, please get up, I dare not accept an elder kneeling before me!" Jia Li said as she moved away.

Seeing that Jia Li was annoyed, Mu Keer stood to her feet with her children.

"Jia Li, I know what your uncle did was an abominable act, but please forgive him. See, your cousins are so young and he is the breadwinner. Our world will crumble without him!" Mu Keer said as she cried out.

"What about me?" Jia Li asked as she slowly looked up at her selfish Aunty.

"What?" The woman asked in confusion, as she didn't understand what Jia Li meant.

"I said what about me? Are you only thinking about your children, What about me that have nobody by my side? The first thing you did when you heard this ugly news, was to go and find your husband and the only reason you came to me was because they wouldn't let you see him. Aunty, let me ask you a question, have you for one day, taken my father as your elder brother?"

"Jia Li what are you saying? Of course, I care about my brother! I was only pleading because of my children. Look, they have been crying all day." Mu Keer said in a panicked tone.

"Good, since you care about the kinship, then you must be here to pay a condolence visit. I will forget your irrational acts when you stepped foot into this house." Jia Li said to her.

Hearing Jia Li close the case like that, Mu Keer was dumbfounded, but she knew better than to bring up the topic again, at least for now.

She was surprised that Jia Li who she hasn't seen in a long time, had grown up so much and was so bold as to confront her, Mu Keer felt a headache coming.

'Did she grow up overnight because of the death of her parents?.' Mu Keer thought as she couldn't help reflecting on Jia Li's words and countenance a few minutes ago.

Mu Keer looked around the house and felt the situation and interior were a lot better than the place she was staying with her family.

Since her brother and his wife were dead, it would be easy for her to take over the house, after all, they shared the same blood.

Jia Li sneered as she watched her Aunt look around the house.

When Mu Keer came in contact with Grandfather Fu who hadn't said a word, she assessed him and could guess he was very rich even though she didn't know his identity and the relationship he had with Jia Li.

In fact, when Mu Keer came close to the house and saw the soldiers standing guard outside, she knew that Jia Li had a rich backer and she couldn't wait to rip off some benefits from her.

Mu Keer couldn't help asking questions that had nothing to do with condolence visit.

Jia Li was annoyed with her, but she didn't drive her away and she didn't answer her questions as well.

Mu Keer talked until her mouth began to hurt, but still, she couldn't get any reasonable response from her.

How could Grandfather Fu who was sitting at the side not tell her intentions? Of course, he did and he was very angry with the kind of person Jia Li had as a relative.

He didn't intervene with the issue because he saw that Jia Li could handle the matter smoothly.

Butler Lu who was standing at the side, couldn't wait to throw the woman out of the house.

When Jia Li saw that the time had clocked 5:00 PM, she notified her Aunt that it was too late, and it was time for her to leave.

Mu Keer smiled and said to her, "Jia Li, we are families, and I wouldn't mind staying over with my children to help you with the funeral arrangements."

"Aunty, thank you, but I don't need your help. All the arrangements that need to be made, have been made. Please, it's late already and my cousins need to rest their heads." Jia Li said in an irrefutable tone.

Mu Keer peered at Grandfather Fu and Butler Lu who was standing at the side.

She didn't want to be embarrassed before them, so she smiled and got up from the sofa reluctantly.

She didn't forget to say a few words before leaving.

"Jia Li, don't forget to ask for my help. I am the only family you have, so we need to rely on each other. It would be wrong if you handle everything by yourself when I'm here."

"Aunty, you don't need to worry because nobody will accuse you of anything. After all, they know your predicament." Jia Li replied.

Before Mu Keer could retort, Butler Lu who couldn't tolerate her anymore, appeared before her and showed her the way.

Mu Keer could only shut up and leave with her children.
