Chapter 703 Jasmine learns about her younger sibling Jia Li’s guess was right, today was not an easy day for her. The food her mother-in-law brought for her was discarded after eating close to half of them.

Her nose was overly sensitive, just like her taste buds. But Fu He’s looked happy that she was at least able to eat up to that quantity.

”I knew you wouldn’t like something with a heavy taste, so I doubled the water for the bone brought soup, to make it as light as possible.” Fu Hee said as she waved for the servant to carry the bowls away.

”What kind of food would you like to eat next?” She asked her.

”I need something that is a little spicy, it will help to stop me from wanting to throw up.” Jia Li requested.

”Okay. First, I will get you a good cup of tea.” Fu Hee said as she patted her shoulder before getting up and leaving.

Not long after Fu Hee left the room, Jia Li went to the bathroom to throw everything up. And it was at this time that Jasmine walked in with her father.

”Daddy, where is mummy?” Jasmine asked as she looked all over the room searching for her mother.

”Your mum?” Fu Hua asked with a slightly confused gaze before a thought came to his head, “Is she throwing up again?” As he said that, he took the little girl’s hand and asked her to come with him.

”I know where your mother might be.”

In the bathroom, Jia Li was still throwing up when the father and daughter walked in. Because her head was buried in the toilet seat, she didn’t know that her little girl was present as well.

Jasmine saw her mother in that state and asked in shock, “Daddy, what is wrong with mummy? Is she sick?”

”Yes, your mummy is sick, let’s help her out.” Fu Hua said as he got down to pat Jia Li’s back, and the little bun followed suit.

When Jia Li heard Jasmine’s voice and wanted to raise her head, Fu Hua forced it back.

”Your daughter is not running away, finish first.” He said in a gentle tone. At last, Jia Li finished and raised her head. She didn’t look any better than before.

”Hey, Baby.” Jia Li said with tired eyes.

”Mummy, daddy said you are sick, let’s go to the hospital,” Jasmine said with a worried gaze.

”Jasmine, I am sick, but it’s not that kind of sickness.” Jia Li said as Fu Hua helped her up, so she could cleanse her mouth.

Jasmine was curious as to what her mother meant, and so, she continued asking different questions until she got the truth.

”Princess, your mummy is pregnant. She is carrying another baby in her stomach.” Fu Hua replied as he lifted her in his arms and took her into the bedroom, as Jia Li led the way.

Of course, Jasmine didn’t understand fully, so Fu Hua had to further explain that she was going to get a sibling. And with time, her mummy’s stomach would grow big, before her sibling comes out.

Contrary to their expectations, the little girl was very happy. She couldn’t help asking how long she had to wait for her sibling to come out after getting excited.

The mother and daughter remained standing while

”Not too long, but we all have to wait patiently until your younger sibling grows into a healthy baby before it can come out.” Jia Li explained while gesturing with her hands to show her how big her stomach had to get.

”Am I getting a sister or a brother?” Jasmine asked with an excited gaze on her mother.

”Hmm… we don’t know yet, but we will find out very soon.” Jia Li replied as she rubbed the little girl’s head.

Jasmine looked at her mother and made her make a promise. “Mummy, you have to tell me when you find out, okay?”

”Okay!” Jia Li said in agreement.

Fu Hua was happy with the little girl’s reaction and couldn’t help throwing her up to the roof and catching her again as she erupted in laughter.

Since they were preparing to have another child, Jia Li and Fu Hua were teaching their daughter to be welcoming to the child, because most children do not want a younger sibling, and would be jealous if they felt their place would be threatened.

Although they were intentionally trying to change Jasmine’s mindset, they didn’t know if it would work, but seeing that it worked, they sighed in relief as there was nothing to be worried about now.

They only have to continue to throw a more positive light on her younger sibling, like teaching her stuff and telling her stories.

When Fu Hee can’t back with the cup of special hot tea she had prepared for Jia Li, Jasmine ran to her grandmother and greeted her, before jumping right to the reason she was excited.

”Grandma, my Mummy is pregnant!” Jasmine said with much enthusiasm while pointing at her mother.

Fu Hee could guess that the young parents had just broken the news to their girl, and she smiled and said to her granddaughter, “Really?”

”Yes!” Jasmine responded and jumped joyfully.

”Da Xia, this is good news! We are going to tell your great grandfather about it, and he will surely gift you something as you are going to become a big sister.” Fu Hee said to the little girl after giving the cup of tea to Jia Li who thanked her before taking a few sips from it.

”Great-grandpa will give me gifts?!” Jasmine asked as her eyes shown brightly. The little girl loved gifts. She had a lot of them, but that didn’t stop her from wanting more.

Fu Hee took the little girl and went away, leaving Jia Li to enjoy her tea.

”How is it, do you feel better now?” Fu Hua asked.

Jia Li nodded, “I love this tea, it’s a little spicy but very soothing to the nerves. I have to enjoy this tea while it lasts.”

”I guess that this will help you a lot today.” Fu Hua said.

”I hope so,” Came Jia Li’s reply.
