Jia Li felt the strong need to explain things as it looks like Sunny was thinking wrongly. "Miss Sunny, I think there is a misunderstanding. My husband loves and cares for me."
"If he loves and cares for you, why would he allow his sick wife to work overtime?" Sunny asked.
Jia Li took a deep breath before replying, "He doesn't know I'm sick."
Sunny was silent for a while after listening to her explanation. She didn't have any doubt now because she guessed that Fu Hua would not allow her to work overtime if he knew she was sick.
"I see, that explains a lot why you are neglecting your health. If you don't stop working this minute, I will call your husband to come and take you home." Sunny threatened.
She threatened to call her husband not because it was Fu Hua but to use it against her since she said her husband didn't know she was ill.
Jia Li thought that Sunny didn't know Fu Hua was her husband and was just talking, so she said to her, "Miss Sunny, I still have a little work to do. I still need to sew this part and then iron the material before leaving. I need 20 more minutes."
Sunny didn't bother to glance at the dress she was showing to her and instead said while taking out her phone from her bag...
"It looks like you are not scared of your husband, so I will have to call Mr. Fu and report to him that there is someone who wants to ruin the competition plans."
Hearing that word Mr. Fu was enough for Jia Li to be subdued. She quickly got to her feet and picked up her things while pleading with Sunny not to make the call.
"Now that's more like it!" Sunny said with folded arms.
If Fu Hua learns that she is not feeling well, he will stop her from working overtime and that wouldn't be good for her.
On their way to the underground parking lot, Sunny said to her, "I love your dedication but your health is important. You should take care of yourself while working hard because it will be a pity for something to happen to a talented person like you."
When Jia Li got to her ride, she bowed slightly and thanked Sunny for looking out for her.
"I will do that for anyone that is under me. Go ahead and don't come to work before time tomorrow or I will surely report you." Sunny threatened again.
Jia Li smiled before unlocking her car and climbing into it. Sunny stood there and watched Jia Li drive away before sighing with her hands in her pocket.
Seeing Jia Li's ride made Sunny think that Jia Li was truly Fu Hua's wife. She could tell how expensive her ride was and knew that she could only have something like that if she came from a rich family or was married into one or was a millionaire herself.
Several days later, something happened to Jia Li which got Fu Hua angry and made the Fu family worried.
It was already past work hours when Sunny decided to visit her students one after the other to check on their progress and also to give them some pointers. It was a week and 3 days to the show, so everyone was working overtime to finish up their work.
Because of the location of Jia Li's office, she was the last person Sunny visited. The workplace the newbies were using, had transparent glasses as walls, so anyone walking along the hallway could see what was going on inside unless a curtain was used to cover the view.
But it looked like Jia Li forgot to cover hers because Sunny could see how she was so focused while doing an embroidering on one of her clothes.
A slight smile appeared on her face as she thought to herself, 'She is really working so hard, despite having a big thigh to hug.'
As Sunny was thinking of that, the respect she had for Jia Li increased and so she brought out her phone to record her.
Sunny still had a smile on her face while recording Jia Li when she noticed something wrong with her. She thought she saw something wrong with her nose and so zoomed the camera only to see blood slowly coming out from her nose but it seemed like Jia Li was yet to notice it.
Sunny's eyes widened in shock as she quickly ended the video and rushed into Jia Li's office.
Jia Li was surprised to see Sunny rush into her workspace and as she got to her feet and was about to ask if she needed help with anything, she felt something drip from her nose and drop on her palms which she out on the desk while trying to stand.
Curious as to what it was, Jia Li looked down to see drops of blood at the back of her hand and it was at that moment that Sunny arrived at her side and passed her some tissue.
"Jia Li, your nose is bleeding, sit down and use this to clean it." Sunny said in an urgent tone as she helped her to sit down.
It was as if the more Jia Li cleaned her nose, the more blood flowed out. Sunny was worried about her losing much blood, so she asked her to raise her head and block her nose with the tissue.
"How many hours do you get to sleep each night?" Sunny asked as she picked up some wipes to clean the blood on Jia Li's desk.
"6-7 hours." Jia Li replied with her head back. She had no idea why her nose was bleeding.
"It looks like the stress you are going through can not be curtailed by the 7 hours of sleep you get at night. You need to stop working overtime. After today, I don't want to see you at work past 5 p.m." Sunny ordered.
"But I'm not done with my work. This is the last dress I'm working on and the embroidering will take me 4 hours a day for 4 days to finish. I need four more days before I can rest.." Jia Li replied.
