That same day, Old Mr. Fu made some calls to the Empire college of Fashion and Designing to get things ready, as he would be sending Jia Li to the college to process her acceptance and settle a few formalities that were required before she could start classes.
After making the call, he relaxed and smiled to himself as his plans were going smoothly.
The next day after breakfast, Grandfather Fu followed Jia Li to her new college to get things settled.
Jia Li was surprised to learn he was going to follow her because from the beginning, he didn't mention atheing like that.
Other than being surprised, Jia Li was grateful. But she was also nervous because this was her first time enrolling in such a prominent and prestigious school.
"Jia Li don't be nervous. We are just going to finish the entry processes." Grandfather Fu said to her.
Jia Li smiled as she glanced at him. Deep in her mind, she was wondering if the Old Man really went to the army, because he was too kind to her.
But a few times she has seen him exert his authority in the family had made her know he really went to the army.
When Fu ChunHua learned that Jia Li was going to such a renowned school, she frowned and dragged her husband back to the room when he was about to leave for work.
"You say, why would your father act that way? How can he send a stranger to such a distinguished school and it costs a lot! Even if he wants to help her, he should have gone to other colleges, why that one?" Fu ChunHua asked with a tight frown on her face.
"ChunHua, is that why you dragged me into the room? Is your problem with the fact that Jia Li is going to a reputable school, or the fact she enrolled in an expensive school?" Fu Geming asked.
"Geming, this is a very important matter! My problem is with the two. Grandfather bringing her back here wasn't enough, and he had to go ahead to treat her specially, more than the children of this family!"
This was ChunHua's anger. Her children have never been treated this way and she was angry at the thought that a none family member could enjoy all the glory.
"ChunHua, if you want to live in this house these few days peacefully, you better control your mouth and actions otherwise if Father learns your dislike for that girl, then don't bother coming back to this house to stay!" Fu Geming said to her and turned to walk away.
After thinking for a while, Fu ChunHua frowned and said in an annoyed tone.
"No, I can't let this go! I must find a way to make our family remain in this house, otherwise, another person will rip all the benefits!"
How can Fu ChunHua stand the fact that Jia Li was enjoying more benefits than her daughter? She wasn't unreasonable, as this sthe situation was bound to cause problems.
That evening, as everybody had come home, Grandfather Fu called Fu YingPei to his study. He didn't talk long before he released him.
Immediately he walked into the sitting room, his mother who has been waiting for him, called him over.
"What did your grandfather say to you?" She asked in a curious tone.
"Nothing much. He only asked me to help Jia Li get a few things she would be needing for her classes." YingPei replied.
Fu Hee sighed as she said, "Your grandfather does on that girl too much!"
"Mum, I have some unfinished work left, so I'm leaving," YingPei said as walked away.
He knew if he didn't leave, his mother would start pouring all her grievances on him.
"Eh! When did you start having leftover works like your brother?" Fu Hee asked, her voice echoing.
Fu YingPei turned back to say before walking away hurriedly.
"Brother is not the only one allowed to work hard."
Fu Hee sighed to herself and wondered what was wrong with her sons. None of them wanted to be with her and that makes her feel lonely.
At this point, she was missing her daughter! Thinking of her daughter, Fu Hee decided to phone her.
This weekend, Fu YingPei had to carry out the assignment given to him by his grandfather.
In his sports car, he drove Jia Li to an art store where she could pick up some necessary things.
Grandfather Fu already told Jia Li earlier on that YingPei would take her to shop for the things she needed for school, so she was not surprised by this arrangement.
Seeing how Jia Li was fascinated by his sports car, YingPei smiled and started chatting with her.
"Miss Qin, do you like my car?" He asked with a smile.
"Yes. I like the interior!" Jia Li admitted as she looked around the car. She could tell how expensive the car was.
"Grandfather bought this car for the three of us. Each of his grandsons has this kind of short car but in different colors. As you can see, mine is White. Fu Ling has a blue one and My brother has the red one. But mine is the first to be shipped, because the color was already available, so the factory had to customize it a bit before shipping it."
Jia Li nodded with a smile as listens to him talk on and on.
"Jia Li, do you know you are our lucky star? Our grandfather has never treated the guys so well like this. In fact, he prefers girls over boys, so he treats us so-so. He has never pampered us, so this is the first and it's because of you." YingPei revealed.
"Young Master, why do you say I'm the reason?" Jia Li asked in confusion.
"Don't call me young master if you want my ears to still be connected to my body." Fu YingPei said to her in a light tone.
What he meant today was that his grandfather would cut off his ears if he heard her addressing him as such and Jia Li got the message, so she asked...
"What should I call you?."
"YingPei." Fu YingPei said smoothly.
"But you're older than me." Jia Li pointed out in furrowed brows.
"Does it matter?" Fu YingPei asked and Jia nodded in response.
"Then, how do you address young men like me?" Fu YingPei asked with an interesting look on his face.
"Brother..." Jia Li replied.
"Brother YingPei?" Fu YingPei tried it out and shook his head frantically. He didn't like it at all as it made him feel old.
"Miss Qin, I'm a young person like you, do you really have to make me feel old? Forget it, just call me by my name." Fu YingPei said as he waved his hand.
Jia Li glanced at him before moving her eyes to her sling bag. She took out her list and started going through them to make sure she wasn't missing any items out.
When Monday arrived, Grandfather Fu asked Fu Hua to send Jia Li to school since it was her first day.
Grandfather Fu couldn't send Jia Li to school, as he had to go to the military camp that morning. And to help these two people get close to each other, he had to bring them together.
Fu Hua was surprised but didn't go against him. He was wondering the reason, why Grandpa didn't ask YingPei to send Jia Li to school and the answer he got, wasn't bad.
The old man said Fu YingPei's car was so eye-catching, and Jia Li didn't want to be viewed as a wealthy young miss, as she wanted to attend school quietly.
It turned out the old man felt that Fu Hua's black car was more suitable than Fu YingPei's eye-catching white sports car.
This was Fu Hua's wishful thinking...
Still, Grandfather Fu agreed with Jia Li's reasoning. The young lady doesn't want any rumor to start spreading about her, just on her first day in college.
When Jia Li learned that Fu Hua would be the one to send her to school, her mouth was agape in shock.
When she came to the living room after dressing up, Butler Lu smiled at her and told her the car was waiting outside, so she thought a driver would send her to school, only to go outside and see the Cold-faced man standing beside his car and looking at his wristwatch.
Hearing the footsteps, Fu Hua glanced towards Jia Li and saw her standing there in shock.
'Why is she staring at me like she saw a ghost?' Fu Hua thought.
Jia Li thought we must have been mistaken, so she turned around to get back inside the house when she heard Fu Hua's voice, devoid of any emotions.
"Jia Li, you're not going to school today?" Fu Hua asked the young lady that was already making her way into the house.
"I'm going to school." Jia Li stopped in her steps and replied.
"Get in the car, I will drop you off!" Fu Hua said as he opened his car door and got into his car.
Jia Li was still trying to comprehend the situation when she heard the car door close, she hurried to the car.
