After taking some pictures in her bridal nightdress, Jia Li sent the girls out of her bedroom so she could get some sleep early and wake up on time for her big day which is on the next day.
The feeling of being a bride was true happiness. Jia Li was all smiles as she turned off the lights and got under the duvet. She has never experienced this before and for that, she was beyond happy.
At first, given the circumstances that surrounded her and Fu Hua getting together, Jia Li never thought about having a wedding but as the relationship between them became better, she began to look forward to this day and at last, it came.
Jia Li glanced at her ring finger that was empty with a smile. The ring Fu Hua had put on her finger on the day they signed their marriage certificate was not there. Fu Hua personally took it off 2 days ago when he sneakily came to see her.
He had taken her fingers in his hand and said to her while taking off the ring, "I didn't get this ring myself and when I put it on you, I haven't given my heart to you. But now that we are about to have a fresh start, old things have to make room for the new ones.
When Jia Li remembered Fu Hua's statement, she smiled happily before heaving a sigh of relief.
'Fu Hua, I'm really looking forward to a new beginning with you and our family." Jia Li said with her gaze on her ring finger.
After fantasizing about the big day, especially the exchange of rings, Jia Li laid on the bed and rested her head on the pillow and right when she was about to shut her eyes, her phone started to ring.
Jasmine was sleeping beside her and as she was worried about the little bun waking up due to her phone ringing so loud, Jia Li immediately picked up her phone to answer the call and without glancing at the caller ID.
"How are you?"
When Jia Li heard the familiar deep sexy voice from the other end of the phone, instinctively, her lips curved in a smile.
"I'm good and you?" She asked as she played with the ropes of her nightdress. She was glad to hear his voice right before she could lay her head to rest.
"I'm fine. How was your day? I learned from mother in the day that you were going to have a bridal shower, so how was it?" Fu Hua asked in a gentle tone as a smile played on his lips.
"Mmm... it was great, I had tons of fun." Jia Li said.
"How is Jasmine?" Fu Hua asked. There was no way he wouldn't ask about his daughter he hasn't seen in a long while. He missed his little princess as much as he missed her mother.
Jia Li glanced at the little bun that was sleeping soundly and replied, "She is good, she is sleeping now."
"Now I know why your tone is so gentle." Fu Hua said immediately. "I missed you, so I called. Did you miss me too?"
Jia Li's cheeks turned to a deep shade of red when he asked that question. They have been together for almost 3 years, yet, she still gets shy when he made certain gestures or said some words under a certain atmosphere. "I missed you."
"Tomorrow, is our big day and I know that you may be a little nervous, so I called to talk about anything you want to. You can be my examiner and I will be your candidate." Fu Hua said to her.
It was normal for most brides to be nervous about their big day for various reasons. One, it may be about last-minute tasks, important guest or their partners or even about the event itself. It was such an important day in their lives, so they are overly nervous about the event going smoothly without a glitch.
"Honestly, I am indeed a little nervous. I don't know what to talk about, so let's start from how your day went."
From there, Jia Li and Fu Hua brought up interesting and funny topics one after the other to talk about until it was past 11 pm.
Since it was late and they had a big day ahead of them, Fu Hua had to conclude their chat.
"I can't wait to see you in the wedding gown tomorrow, I hope you have a good night." Fu Hua said and made some kissing sounds in the background.
Jia Li smiled and bid him goodnight before keeping her phone aside and laying her head on the pillow with her face towards the ceiling. There was a big satisfied smile sitting on her face as she thought back to the little conversation she heard with Fu Hua.
Remembering how long, exciting and tiring the next day was going to be, Jia Li had to close her eyes and force herself to sleep, even when she was not feeling sleepy.
Trying to sleep was not an easy task for the Bride and the Groom. They were each having similar thoughts about their day.
Finally, an hour or 2 hours later, Jia Li and Fu Hua fell asleep while thinking about each other.
The next morning, Jia Li was woken up by the little bun who climbed on her body when she woke up from sleep.
The little bun placed her head on her mother's chest before moving her short arm on her stomach with her eyes closed.
"Jasmine, why did you wake up so early?" Jia Li had just asked when it just came to her mind that today was actually her day.
As Jia Li carried the little bun off her body to give her kisses on her cheeks, Jasmine greeted her, 'good morning' in a sluggish tone before rubbing her eyes.
Just then, Jia Li heard a ding sound from her phone and when she picked up her phone to check it, she saw a text from Fu Hua which started with, 'Hello, beautiful....'
