Chapter 719 Misunderstanding Just like Jia Li guessed, Jasmine actually threw a tantrum about taking her new Barbie doll to school.

”Do you think you are still a child? Your younger sibling is on the way, how do you think she will feel to see you acting this way?” Jia Li asked the little girl who had a tear-stained cheek.

Jasmine glanced at her mother while sniffing, before she asked, “Am I getting a sister?”

”Maybe. Now clean your face and let grandpa drop you at school. I’m sure you don’t want anyone to laugh at you.” Jia Li calmly reminded her.

Jasmine moved her gaze downwards and fiddled with her fingers. The little girl looked so cute in her school uniform.

From the side, Fu Hua who has stopped himself from intervening in the matter sighed and stepped forward to wipe her tears.

Earlier, he didn’t know how to get the doll from her without making her cry, but when Jia Li stepped forward, he sighed in relief and scooted away. Finally, the matter was taken care of, so he returned to finish up the rest.

”Princess, I will brush your doll’s hair and keep her for you. When you come back from school, you can play with her. Now smile daddy.” Fu Hua said after wiping her tears with a handkerchief.

Jasmine couldn’t smile because she was not in the mood yet, so she just stayed calm with her head lowered. At last, Fu Hua had to kiss her forehead, hug her and call her some of the pet names she was fond of, before making her smile.

Finally, Jasmine agreed to go to school without her doll.

Sighing in relief after handing her over to his father, Fu Hua went back to the bedroom to check on Jia Li.

”Our daughter can be a handful most times.” He said as he sat himself on the couch.

”And that is why you must let me scold and spank her at times, otherwise she would be a spoiled and arrogant princess. If you can’t tolerate them happening, just turn a blind eye to us.” Jia Li said to him.

She knew his weakness when it came to their daughter, so she was suggesting how they could manage the situation, but Fu Hua did not agree fully.

”If we continue that way, she will have a bad impression of you. She would think that I love her more than you do.” Fu Hua said after a moment of silence.

He has thought things through and could guess what easily went on in the mind of children. And he would never want Jasmine to think that one of them, loved her more than the other. That will never be.

Jia Li released a sigh and said, “Then we will have to work together, there is no other option.”

Fu Hua did not reply immediately, as he had an idea going through his mind, so Jia Li left him and quickly picked up her phone to track the ship that was supposed to land soon.

”I think I’m going to check on children’s psychology and how to penetrate their minds.” Fu Hua said as he whipped out his phone as well.

Both were already dressed for work, but it now looks like they have a few things to check before leaving.

Not long after, Fu Hua was distracted by Jia Li’s scream, and when he asked what was wrong, she said in a panic, “I just learned that ship carrying the crystals I ordered sank early this morning.”

”What? How can the ship sink just like that? Where did you see that from?” Fu Hua inquired with furrowed brows?

Jia Li passed her phone to him and said with fright in her voice, “I checked with the tracking ID. OMG! So much money is gone, what am I going to do?”

After saying that, she started pacing up and down the room. She was in so much panic that she couldn’t focus on anything, even when Fu Hua was speaking to her, she didn’t hear anything until he went to her side and grabbed her arms to get her attention.

”Stop circling about and calm down, or you are going to be dizzy.” He said to her and pulled her towards the bed to sit, but she got up the same second to ask how she could calm down when everything was not okay.

”You shouldn’t be worrying about the money that was lost right now, but about meeting your deadline.” Fu Hua said in comfort.

”I’m worried about everything, my mind is not at peace right now.” Jia Li said as she fumbled with her dress.

Fu Hua didn’t know how to comfort her. He had a good stare at her before sighing. “Seriously, there is nothing to worry about concerning the money that was lost, FJ will deal with it. This is part of the losses that are experienced in this kind of business. For your crystals, I will try to see if we can get some from around as quickly as possible, but I am afraid that you will have to alter your designs because we can’t get enough crystals in such a short time.”

Jia Li was more worried about the losses FJ just made than the deadline she was supposed to meet up with. Because of her nervousness, she blurted out a question she regretted asking because it made her look dumb.

”I’m afraid that FJ will go bankrupt because of me, then wouldn’t my career have to end?”

Even in this situation, Fu Hua couldn’t help but laugh, “Do you know how long FJ has been in existence? She can’t go bankrupt over a few pennies of crystals.”

After saying that, Fu Hua picked up his phone to make some calls. Finally, he confirmed that the ship actually sank, which didn’t help Jia Li to feel any better.

A few moments, later, Fu Hua discovered something and had to make more calls for confirmation, and at last, his discovery was true. There was an error air the tracking code given to Jia Li.

It was found out that the ship that sank, was the wrong ship, and didn’t have the crystals she placed an order for.
